Other than a delay in getting all the materials delivered on time, the whole project went extremely well. Frank, the project mgr, and David, the salesman, are fantastic! The crew worked fast and sometimes in terrible weather conditions that others would definitely not have worked in. David made sure to keep tabs on the project as it progressed, unlike most other salespeople that will forget the project even exists as soon as they get a check. Our deck wasn't easy because it is elevated and consists of a covered section blended into the roof of the house but Frank made it seem like it was. Ferris took this project on even though other companies I had bid it wouldn't. They did an AWESOME job and they will certainly be the first call I make on any future projects.

I found their price to be reasonable. I like their responsiveness, and I like their sales representative. At this point, they've been responsive to our need. We've had actually made discussions with the sales representative. We changed our minds when it comes to cabinets and doors, what we wanted to be done, and additional things that we wanted to be included. He was very responsive to that. He did bring out a person who is going to be supervising the kitchen remodeling, and he's been actually out twice. He was very courteous and professional. He gave us the high-end wood cabinets and everything else. He told us that we can adjust what we wanted based on the price or whatever. That was a good approach as well as a good deal.

The 2 technicians completed the project on time and did a fantastic job. Had a small concern after project was completed, that was brought to their attention via e-mail, and technician was at the house the following morning to check out. I would definitly reccomend to anyone

The attic fan repair was done and I have had no leaks since the repair. The ridge vent is a bit of a different story. I kept hearing dripping in my bedroom. That is what I called for originally. First during the inspection / estimate I was told there was leaking only from the attic fan that was installed incorrectly. When the guys arrived to remove the fan they said they would also caulked the ridge vent (they must have notice something). I just had a roofer look at the original leak area after a night of the dripping sound, and there was substantial evidence of the ridge vent leaking, mold and dry wall damage.

A very nice and polite sales representative came to the house to give me an estimate for my kitchen remodel. The meeting went well, and he promised to email the estimate in a day or two. After a week passed, I called the office and left a message with a secretary that I was waiting for the estimate. Another week went by. I got a phone call from the representative, who explained that he had trouble with his email. He said he would mail me the estimate. That was about 6 weeks ago... I never got the estimate and have not heard from them since.

The Workers were prompt, efficient and professional. Ours is a one story ranch house, so it was easy, but had a large surface area. They preped the area, moved patio furniture, and potted plants out of the way. Draped tarps on that which could not be moved and put down tarps to contain the old decking and shingles. They brought in a large dumpster for the debris. The only downside was my wife had a bed of seedlings coming up, and even though warned, they still stepped in the bed. Also, a large number of cigarette butts were left about. The only major problem was they found a rafter that was misaligned causing a dip in the roof. To repair this they sistered a board to it. In the course of banging away on the rafter it caused the plaster board nails in the ceiling of the kitchen to come out and the joint tape at the junction of the wall and ceiling to crack and fall out. I pointed this out to the lead man and he told the salesman. However, it didn't come at salesman's visit at the close of the job, and it took a little effort to get them to send someone out to repair the damage.. The only other negative is they had a supplies delivery truck come and it was leaking oil as it parked in our driveway leaving stains. In general, I am very pleased with the work they did. In fact, neighbors have stopped to compliment us our how good our new roof looks. If I had more work to do, I would definately give Ferris a chance to bid.

Job was done quickly and professionally...but I did step on a rusty nail several months later...

I cannot say enough about the quick and professional service this company provided. They were prompt and professional from the initial phone call to the completion of the project. They made excellent suggestions regarding options (both in price point and aesthetics) for replacement and were very thorough in explaining the necessary steps from ordering the window/siding to estimated time frame for installation. What a difference this window has made! It is beautiful and provides such better views from inside the house and curb appeal outside. We have had many compliments and would not hesitate to use Ferris Home Improvements for future home improvement needs.

dFrom the time Spencer came to give me the estimate to the completion of the job, it was a wonderful! I called for an estimate and let them know when it would be convenient for them to come and Spencer came on the day and was on time for the appointment. When I called and told him that the Ferris had the job, he came and we went over the contract again so that there were no questions of what was being done for the price quoted. Kelly called me on the day that Spencer told me she would and she was very helpful in arranging a day to start the project, even when I had to call her to change the start dateOn the start date, Ryan and his crew were on time and ready to start after introducing themselves to me. It started to rain on Wednesday morning and I thought that they would be leaving but they did not---they waited it out and worked until 6 that evening. On Thursday it rained a little and the same thing happened. They planned the things that could be done around the rain so that it was not raining into the attic while they were removing the old plywood. When it was time to vent he exhaust fan through, it was discovered that birds had built a nest in the hose. Ryan got the birds out of the hose and removed it and the nest from the attic and made a cover over the hole in t;he side of the house so they could not return (not in the contract). He came back on Saturday to do the final cleanup and installed new holders for the gutter over the garage door because he did not like how the old ones were failing(also, not in the contract). When we went up to inspect the attic on Saturday morning, we discovered that we got the parents out of the attic but we did not remove the little ones! Ryan tried to get them out but as far as I was concerned, it was taking up too much of his Saturday and I told him that I would get them out (which I did). The attic was cleaner when they were finished than it had been when the job was started!!! I could not be more pleased with the quality of the product used, the finished appearance of the house and garage or the people who worked on the roof. From Spencer, to Kelly in the office, to Ryan and all of his crew, the people at Ferris could not have been nicer to me during our interactions or been more professional while doing the job.

They seem wholly uninterested in my project as if it wasn't big enough. The personnel was responsive.

This was our 1st time to use Ferris Home Improvements and we will definitely use them again as they offer such a wide range of services. They installed a new roof for us in one day...3-4 men worked for almost 12 hours. The very poor condition of our roof installation of 13 years ago was discovered while looking for another problem. The combination of this potentially dangerous situation and calendar limitations for us were worked out so that this was done post haste. We cannot say enough about the excellent job Spencer did as the person who worked with us from discovery of problem, estimate, site visit, final closure communication. He was the critical information and PR link. Ryan and his band of skilled laborers were diligent and careful of landscape and worked consistently all day. When the job was finished it was discovered several days later that a porch screen of ours was ripped, and though they did not think they caused this, they were willing to take care of it to provide our final satisfaction. And so, our experience was excellent to the last detail. We were also very glad to use the 10% off coupon they provided to Angie's List customers!

They didn't leave the spouting in any kind of condition at all and I realized that it wasn't part of the contract. They left us hanging and didn't complete the work that I thought they should have. They actual roofing as fair as I can tell is okay, but all these other matters are unresolved. They haven't returned my phone calls or comeback to fix anything.

They were responsive but they were just more expensive. They were fairly good in getting me an appointments and stuff and showing up but they were just more expensive.

The first day of the job the owner came with the crew explained what was going to happen. All my landscaping was covered with protective material. The crew were very profession but willing to answer any questions I had. Everyday my property was cleaned up and I was updated on progress. I will be using this company again. Very pleased with their work and prices. It was a good experience.

They did a wonderful job on the kitchen and bathrooms . The design of the kitchen is beautiful. They arrived on time, cleaned up and stayed late many nights in order to complete the job on time. Very professional and hard working crew. I would highly recommend them and would use them again in the future.

I was very impressed with the crew. They were prompt, and polite. The work was done appropriately. They spent 3 days on my roof (mainly because they were rained on for day two, and needed to come back to complete the job). I couldn't have asked for a better crew! The representative was involved from point A to point Z. It made me feel good to know that if I wasn't happy with the job, I could make sure the job was done completely by not signing the completion sheet. I didn't find any reason not to. I'm a single mom... it helped to know I wasn't being ripped off, or lied to, and that the company was thorough!

My impression was good. They seemed very knowledgeable. I got the estimate the same day or the next day. It was about average but it was at least $4,500 more than the company I am going to go with. They seemed very professional and they were on time. I got the estimate quickly and it was thorough.

Everything went fine. The crew came every day and worked some nights until 8:00pm to get as much done as possible. We were given the dos and donts as to how to take care of the porch upon completion.

The Ferris crew was very knowledgeable, prompt, and respectful. The work came out beautifully, and their communication and customer service was top-notch. I plan to work with them again in the near future. I can't speak highly enough of them!

Overall the experience was very positive. From the friendliness and thoroughness of the estimator to the professionalism of the technicians. One of the things I really like is the fact that the estimator is also at the job. This insures that everyone is on the same page!. The office staff is also extremely friendly and helpful. The scheduling of my projects was very complicated because each job had to be performed in a certain order and they had to work around and in conjunction with other projects performed by other contractors. They were very accommodating and even came out on a Saturday when it was necessary! I can't say enough nice things about them. And I am having them estimate another project inside the house I am so pleased with them.

Although we did not use this company overall our exxperience was good. As mentioned before there were several rescheduled appointments, but once our estimator arrived he was efficient and knowledgable about how we should approach our problem.

Everything went well, but we chose to go with another company.

My F rating for this company is due to the SAME exact reasons listed by the member who had the issues with his/her Groupon not being honored. My Groupon was purchased in April 2012. I had contacted Ferris in August 2012 to have them replace all of my gutters/downspouts. I too was told that my Groupon would not be honored and was given the same reason. Groupon oversold their offer. Ferris was well aware that the offer was oversold. If they knew they would not be honoring them they should have taken the initiative to contact the individuals who purchased them. Instead, they wait until people contact them to present their purchased Groupon to let them know they will not be accepting them. I contacted them 4 months later, they had plenty of time to contact me first and make me aware of the situation. VERY unprofessional.
