I had a tune up done there a couple of months ago and no issue and in fact they have done service for me in the past with no issue. Suddenly my mower stopped working. Not suspect of anything that they did I thought perhaps maybe bad gas. Did change it out and still didn’t start so decided to take it back to get a quick look. For whatever reason it was working for them just fine so no issue. Told the girl at the office I would need help getting it in my car. I do loaded in my car from my home but I do like some help since it is awkward and I have to put it in my folder down backseat instead of my trunk. I’ve never had an issue doing that without having to tip it over or do any damage to my vehicle. I called to let them know I’d be heading over to get my mower on break and asked if I could have some help. I don’t know what happened to these people but they were the nastiest rudest most unprofessional people I’ve ever dealt with. Girl came out and asked if I needed help no eye contact with me no smile no nothing. Told her I said I’m the one who called earlier and said I was picking up my mower I just need a little help. Walked away said Michael be out. Mike came out. Miserable look on his face and huffing and puffing all the way out to me. Didn’t say a word didn’t look me in the eye nothing. Grab the mower up from the front and back and tried jamming it into my car but no caution whatsoever. Of course he chipped the car. I told him well well hold on a minute and he mumbled something at me and I said hold on a minute I get this in my car every time. This comment back to me was well it’s not supposed to go in the backseat of your car. Mind you it’s on a flat surface not an actual seat. Also said not supposed to be tipped on its side. I responded with I don’t have to tip it on the side to get it and I just take my time. I ended up getting Arms and they are trying to take over and eventually got it out from his hands or he turn around and have to walk away mumbling something at me. I went to the office and told the girl hey he was ramming the vehicle into my car and chipped up the side and she continued with her smart remarks as well. Mind you know I contact from her yet again. Not to mention that they have two young children running around they look at you haven’t bathed in a week it was absolutely atrocious. The little toddlers running around this repair shop with no shoes on. I don’t know what happened to these people to Make them be so rude and miserable but I will never ever ever ever go back again

I was told it would be 3 days before they could look at it....6 days later it was never touched and was told by the owner he said 3 weeks, it gets better. I asked 4 my deposit back and then he said he worked on it, NOTHING WAS DONE. You will be lied to and disrespected by the arrogant owner . How this business is able to remain in business is a mystery. AVOID THIS PLACE AS U WOULD A SCHOOL OF GREAT WHITES ! Dont believe it......drop your equipment and your nightmare begins.

Nice people, but the workmanship was very poor. Bowersox Equipment failed to fix my mower after having two bites at the apple. I purchased a Gravely zero turn mower from Bowersox Equipment. They tried but failed to fix an engine oil leak on two occasions under warranty. On the second occasion they kept the machine for more than one month. Also, they failed to fix the front wheels, which floated in the air and wiggled side-to-side frequently. Subsequently, I took the mower to another Gravely dealer who quickly diagnosed and fixed the oil leak by replacing the oil drain plug. The second dealer informed me that the mower had not been put together properly. The front wheels had been mistakenly left in the shipping position by Bowersox Equipment. The second dealer placed the front wheels in the correct bolt holes. Now my mower is perfect. Unfortunately, Bowersox Equipment has lost my Gravely and Ariens equipment business due to this bad experience.
Description of Work: I hired Bowersox Equipment to fix my Gravely zero turn mower's engine oil leak and to fix its front wheels.

A Ryobi trimmer and a mower went in for repair at Bowersox on May 6th, 2017. I was told that I was gong to hear from someone within 10 days. Two weeks later, I had not heard from anyone. I drove to Bowersox on May 20th. The mower was repaired and I picked it up. A carburetor for the trimmer was coming in the next week. Three weeks later on June 10th, I had not heard anything so I drove to the shop. I was told that the part had come in the previous week and that I was going to hear from them in the next week after it was repaired. Two weeks later on June 24th, I had not heard from them. I drove in again into Bowersox. I was told that the trimmer was still under repair. I was told that the part had come in the previous week and that I was going to hear from them in the next week after it was repaired (sounds familiar?). At this point, considering that it had been more than six weeks since the trimmer had been brought in for repair, I requested to talk to the owner. The owner was in the garage, next door to the shop. He was obviously busy and he became very exasperated once I asked about my trimmer. He told me that he was only the mechanic there and he wanted to know the reason I was coming to him with questions. I told him that his daughter had directed me to him since he was the owner. He then proceeded to tell me in a very raised voice that he had no control over when the parts came in. I then pointed out that it had been two weeks since I was told that the part had come in and three weeks or more since they had received it. At this point her daughter came in and said that the part had been received just the previous week. I then asked the owner whether I was justified in asking him about the trimmer. He said that he was only human and that my trimmer was going to be ready on Monday, two days after. I retreated at that point and thanked him for his help with my trimmer. He wished me a "very nice day" under a very raised voice and with his daughter glaring on inhospitably. I received a call an hour later, the first ever from Bowersox directly. I was told that the part that they had received from China was defective and that my trimmer was irreparable. The advice was to buy another one. Bowersox is a Ryobi recommended repair shop. It is very likely that they are very good at what they do, but it would be nice if they treated people nicely and if they followed up with phone calls to keep customers informed. I found their manner abrupt and unresponsive. I found about this shop from Ryobi Recommended list of Service Centers.

I don't know. I dropped of my machine over a month ago and still haven't gotten any callback. I finally learned (had to drive in) that the a wrong part was sent and it would be in and machine fixed by end of week. That was two weeks ago and still no call. And no one answers when you call - you have to drive to their shop. And then the fun begins with whoever is that front desk person with a nasty disposition. Mike the owner/repair guy is good enough to deal with in person but you first have to go through dragon-lady. Though you may finally get your product back in working order, I would have rather had good teeth pulled. No, I DO NOT recommend this place of business.

This is a follow up to my review starting out with "I don't know". Well, now I know. There were two machines I dropped off, both needing the carbs replaced. After a week longer to fix than what I was originally told, there was still a fuel line which had a tear. Had to return it to have it fixed, again. It's now working fine. As for the other machine I mentioned in my first review, again I had to go into the shop as they DO NOT pick up their phone. Their reply, as I was told the first time - weeks ago, was that they are having problems with Verizon. Amazingly, when I test called them while at the shop, their phones rang loud and clear. Back to the generator - was dropped off in March. After two weeks, I drove in to only to be told that the wrong part was sent. This was mentioned in my first review. I wait another month and have to drive in again because mysteriously, their phones don't work. On my arrival, I am told that one of the workers had put the part in a drawer and was forgotten about. Mike then goes on to say that he can have it done right away after he finishes what he is working on. I am on lunch break and can't wait. Came back the next day. Generator is firing up fine. I asked if he tested the plugs to which he replied " I only worked on it to get it running". Exactly, what use is a fine running generator whose plugs don't work? Anyone? Begrudgingly, he pulled out a corded drill which ran fine off the plugs. If your goal is complete frustration and bitterness then by all means, do business with this shop.

I was never informed, as promised, when they arrived, and I was spoken to in a very rude ,unprofessional manor......Mike Berger was great! However; Two women we spoke to (to our understanding, his wife and daughter) were rude, volgar, and classless. They use obscenities directed at the customers, blatently lie, and refuse to offer useful information. As long as those two women are working there, I will not be a customer and I will tell everyone that I know to avoid the establishment at all cost. I hope Mike gets his house (pun intended) in order and saves his once thriving buisness.

This business totally ripped us off on a rototiller repair. We took it in after my husband cleaned the carburetor and it still wouldn't run. They called and said it was the governor and that it would be expensive to fix. We declined the repair and paid them for looking at it and the pick-up service. A few days later, they called back to say they we owed them more since the mechanic had already worked on the carburetor. Meanwhile, my car mechanic offered to look at it. He found that the governor was fine AND that nothing was done to the carburetor. They replaced the carburetor and now it runs fine.
Description of Work: Rototiller repair (supposedly). Don't ever go there. They don't know what they are doing.
