When we decided to replace our windows, we contacted a number of local reputable and established contractors for estimates. There are many great windows on the market, so quality of installation was our top consideration. We did not want good windows installed poorly! We looked for an established company that did not resort to high pressure sales tactics - a company that would be around in the future should there be any problems with our windows after a few years. JP Fitzpatrick and Advance met these requirements, The quote from Advance was significantly less than Fitzpatrick, and what sold us on Advanced was their installation method, which includes partial siding removal and replacement around each window opening. This allows for installation of an air-tight 6" wide sealing barrier around the perimeter of the replacement.window. This was different that what we heard from the other companies we considered. Our interactions with Advanced prior to installation day were great. The sales team we worked with were helpful and did not resort to high pressure tactics. After the sale we were quickly contacted by the project manager for our job, who visited the house to confirm the dimensions of all windows to make sure the order had been placed correctly. A few weeks later we were contacted to schedule installation, which was actually a few weeks earlier than we had been promised. Installation went smoothly. Our team of three professional installers were prompt, efficient and courteous. During installation some damage was done to the vinyl siding when a latter slipped on the deck. The damaged siding was replaced the following day with siding that is an exact color match to the existing siding, which was found by Advanced after a search of the local hardware stores - the colors stocked by Advanced were not a good match to our 15 year old siding. This was service above and beyond my expectations. As the crew finished up, they showed me a window sash with a defect from the manufacturer. I don't think that I would have noticed the imperfection in the glass unless they had pointed it out to me. A replacement sash has already been ordered, and will be installed along with a screen damaged when the ladder fell. All in all we found the Advanced people to be quite pleasant to deal with, prompt and courteous in all the dealings we've had so far. The installation crew were professionals who took pride in their work and whom we felt comfortable with in our home. They cleaned up each work area as a window installation was completed and they made sure we were happy with their work. We will certainly use Advanced again in the future for other home improvements including roof, doors and siding. Updated December 2010 - Since the windows were installed (early 2010), Advance has had to come back three or four times to repair small things - loose siding, a window with a faulty counterweight, small stuff. Each time we call they respond quickly and conveniently. They have a person full time devoted to such repairs after the initial install - this is all he does, and he does a great job. Another reason why we highly recommend Advance for this kind of work. Great job!

Easy to schedule appointment though the estimator came early and I missed him. Easy e mail scheduling. Work done as promised. Cleaned up thoroughly when done. Person they sent to do the work very professional.

They used top quality shingles and painted the vent stacks and chimney flashing to match the shingles - which wasn't in the contract. They also painted and installed a chimney cap that I provided all at no charge!!! They left extra shingles behind so I'd have an exact match if needed during their 30 year warranty on shingles. Advance also gave a written 30 year workmanship warranty. Other contractors only offered a 5 year warranty on their work. Aaron promply returned phone calls before and after the roof installation He also came out a week later to remove an ice dam in my gutter unrelated to the roofing job. As he left, he said to call if I ever had a problem or concern. Customer service is lacking with many companies these days but Advance stands out in this area. On top of that my house has a beautiful new roof. I have confidence Advance Inc will stand behind their work.
