Advance Roofing Windows Siding & Doors

After trying with many vendors to identity the replacement window and getting many cautions that the work would be complicated due to the stucco on the siding of the house, we finally contacted Advanced. They quickly identified the proper replacement and got it ordered and were confident on how to manage the stucco.. It took some weeks for it to come in. When the installer came, he installed quickly and efficiently. The work had been planned for an entire day, but only took a couple of hours. He not only installed the window quickly, but the stucco was not affected at all and the exterior looks great. Finally, pro bono, he helped fix an issue on our front door with the hinge and door alignment which other vendors could not figure out. in 15 min, he had that fixed! Overall, we are extremely happy with the outcome; we got a fair price and great customer service. We will definitely use Advanced again.

Serviceman Dave came at the appointed time and looked at the windows and door. He adjusted the door and fixed some weatherstripping that was out of place. Initially, he thought we would need a new door, but when I mentioned that I had a track cover already purchased online, he said he would try that. My husband and I could not get the door off the track to install it and figured it was just a wast of money. Even though Dave said that the door was not made to come off the track without removing trim, he didn't give up. He was a big strong fellow and did indeed get the door off and install the track cover. The door slides like glass now. I was so happy. For the windows, he found two broken pins that needed to be ordered. I did have to call the company after a few weeks because the order had been mislaid, but I would not lower their grade for that. Stuff happens. After I called, they really jumped on it and had the parts very quickly. Dave came back and popped them in and everything is great. This is my only experience with Advance, but I was very pleased with how they handled a small repair call. They didn't try to rip me off by selling me a door that I didn't need. I trust them and was very pleased with the technician, Dave. He was nice, efficient, and I was very comfortable with him being in my home. I would call them again first if I needed anything else that they handle.

We received several estimates on windows from other companies. They had the best price and then even worked with us with that price. They cleaned up their mess very well.

Overall things couldn't have gone better. They arrived on time and completed a big job in less than two days. Their communications with us were excellent. They worked hard barely stopping for a short lunch break. They did a very thorough clean up. They didn't have the lowest price but with the Angie's list discount, they were very competitive. They were worth every penny. I would gladly use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Installation was done in 1 day. Work was done efficiently and quickly. Steps were taken to protect all areas of the exterior of the home.

1. The initial quote was given in a timely manner. 2. Work was scheduled; everybody was pleasant to deal with. 3. The original appointment was not kept. 4. Work was scheduled again. 5. Some of the work was completed. 6. Work was scheduled to be completed. 7. Original work was completed. 8. The repair around the chimney was still leaking. It was possible that the chimney needed to have the mortar repaired. 9. Due to the problems with the original work I asked for the work around the chimney to be redone. 10. The work was scheduled. 11. The flashing and roof repair around the chimney was redone, along with some repairs to the chimney (which I hadn't requested or paid for.) 12. Everything is now sealed, and the leaks no longer occur. 13. Overall I was satisfied with the final product, and everything to ensure my satisfaction was done.

They were charging me around $ 3000 and I gave them a deposit of $ 1550. My daughter said it was too much and I canceled the check. I told them that it was too much money and they were not pleased about me cancelling the check. They did call me and tell me that he could charge me a recession because it was after the time period. They had a period of time where I could cancel it but they did not charge the fee so far. I would have to pay a fee for having them come out and take the measurement on the door and to give me an estimate. I gave them a check for $ 1550 and that was the down payment. I got a very nice door for $ 659 and then I had someone to install it for $ 200. Actually, I did not even call them. They came and told me that they were on Angie’s List. They were very professional the minute they came out. I would not use this company in the future.

The estimator was very courteous and professional in surveying the leaks and suggesting what he thought needed to be fixed and how it would be done. After I agreed to the quote and before the work was started, another worse leak developed in another location not inspected by estimator during another storm in the interim. The estimator agreed that his team would inspect for additional leaks around the chimney when they did the other repairs, nail pops in the shingles, missing shingles, etc. Although I would have appreciated a call before the team showed up since I was still in the shower at the time, the team was prompt and professional. While repairing the areas agreed to in the estimates, the team discovered that the original roof installers (the builder) did not install underlayment called step flashing where the roof meets the brick facade in fron of the house and around the chimney in the back. So, the team had to come back a second day to finish what was originally thought to be a half-day job. Everything seemed fine for about a month. During more November storms, we had more leaks in the same area that seemed worse than before the repairs. I understood that roof repairs aren't guaranteed since they did not install the original roof. A completely new roof would have been guaranteed for labor annd material. After some telephone tag, the estimator agreed to come by and see if he could address anything apparent. He did find and repair a couple spots that he thought his team probably should have caught the first time, and he didn't charge me for the additional work. He advised me to wait through a couple more storms to check for more leaks before I patched the damaged ceiling drywall inside where the leaks did the most damage. So far, things have been holding for a couple more months. We'll see what spring holds. I would have given them an A if I didn't have to have a call-back job. All in all, I would probably call them again to replace the roof when that time comes. Unfortunately, the estimator thought we'd be lucky to get another 10 years out of what were supposed to be 30-year shingles since he noticed a lot of flaws in the way the original roof was put in. I think he's probably right since I noticed a lot of corner cutting and poor workmanship in several other areas throughout the house that is barely 12 years old (we're the second owners). We'll probably use All American next spring summer to replace a warped front entrance door. And we'll consider replacing our windows since we really hate them even though they are technically still OK. We want to upgrade to better insulated windows that are easier to clean.

We had a new roof installed on our 1200 square foot home. We got two bids and Advance was slightly lower. We decided to go with them because of a recomendation of a friend as well as the profesionalism of the manager who came out to give the estimate. It was scheduled within a few weeks and work was completed within one day. The price included tear down and removal of the original shingles, repair or several sheets of bad plywood sheething, and installation of new dimensional shingles. We were very pleased with the proccess overall. Would use Advance again for other projects.

The company called us within 24hrs to schedule an appt. The technician arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. He did everything that was listed on the coupon and did it in a reasonable amount of time. We were very happy with this service.

They arrived on time and listened to our concerns. They checked out the roof and sealed all leaks and potential trouble spots. They were very professional and genuine. I would hire them again.

They removed old siding and installed new siding as they progressed. The work was done minimizing siding breaks which required installer planning.The work was very professional. The corners and edging at bay window roof and kitchen out cropping roof were installed to protect and look good. The siding is thick and special care was taken at windows to insure water shedding.I have a high grade metal, hip roof which required them to be on the roof at times. To keep from walking on the roof, they used roof ladders where the bottoms were set off with polystyrene sheet to spread the weight and protect the roof. Although the crew did not speak English, Alex, the lead installer spoken enough to communicate, and he controlled the job. He worked to meet my requirements, and the company responded to minor material changes without hesitation. Alex's work ethic was amazing. They answered questions and did work arounds to not just be functional, but look great. They left the site clean (a few random nails remained.) They respected my new grass which was a bit of a pain for them. Be as specific as you can during estimating visit and job specification visit. It saves effort all around. No issue is too small to discuss on the front end of the job. They say it and they mean it. We recommend the company and the crew.

The salesmen was well prepared and knowlegable. He explained why he thought Advance did a better job without trashing every other builder. He checked our attic to inspect the wood and didn't see any problems. Another estimator told us all our wood would have to be replaced. The actual job was delayed due to weather and was started on a Saturday. It was obvious it wouldn't be completed in one day, but we weren't told if they would finish Sunday or Monday. There was no forman initially at the job. Maybe because it was Saturday. They finished on Monday and the roof looks great. Clean up was thorough and a forman did come by on Monday and then again the next day to have them finish some minor details The guys that replaced the door were excellent. On time, professional and very pleasant. They explained what they were going to do and finished in less than 4 hours. Overall we are very satisfied and would recommend Advance

We are disappointed with the service overall. We signed up for the roof winterization Big Deal thinking it would be a cheap way of checking out the roof and getting some small seals fixed. The employee checked out the roof and may have made a minor fix or two. I'm not sure what, if anything, was fixed. Part of the service was to put together a summary report that details what steps were taken and what needed to be fixed. Despite a follow up email to the employee, we received no report. I consider the $150 wasted and would recommend that others don't waste their money either.

Salesman was pleasant and informative. Set up financing with a year's grace before interest kicks in retroactively. Windows came in a couple weeks late, but then when scheduled installation date arrived they were there promptly, knocked out the work and cleaned up everything. House now stays almost too warm even on cold days. Am looking forward to receiving gas bills to see how much I've saved. I believe the windows will pay for themselves in a relatively short period.

Getting an estimate was quick. However, when it came time to have the window installed they neglected to write down the window measurement. After taking a day off from work I got a call that they would have to come out on the scheduled installation day and remeasure the window and reschedule the installation. After several weeks without contact I called them. They said they were too busy and forgot to order the window. The window was finally installed 6 weeks later. The workmanship was fine but I was bothered by the inability to plan and place a work order.

They were very nice. It only took about an hour to do the work. They seemed to do an ok job, but the inspection they did was not as thorough as I would have like it to be. It didn't seem to be an energy efficient test, it was more of an inspection and caulking.

Other than the permitting process, it went great. First of all, the permitting in Radnor Township was an issue. Advance was replacing an existing deck that was part of the original house and on the original house plans. We believed the permitting process to take one to two weeks. Radnor Township lost the first permit application. Weeks after it was refilled, they came back and said that we needed a grading permit since they had no record of a original permit. Since the deck was part of the initial construction for the house in 1989, I?m not sure they would have a separate deck permit. We called Radnor a week later and they told us that they had no record of the permit. After a couple of days, they called back and said they found it. It took over 6 weeks to have the permit issued. Once the permit was issued, Advance schedule Frank, the deck installer to start work a week later. It took about a week to remove the old deck, dig the footers, have the holes inspected, pour the footers and build the substructure. The deck surface rails and steps went on in a couple of days. Advance worked well with our plumber, who installed a gas line for a grill. Overall, we couldn?t be happier with Advance and the work they did. They installed lattice work, took care of water drain pipes that emptied underneath. We would highly recommend Advance.

Representative was in our home 11/28/11. Needed estimate for added attic insulation and installation of solar attic fan. Our home is a single family, approx 2000sf and 5 years old. There was existing insulation but a few bare spots due to cable contractor installing cable (?). Insulation (blown in), we were told, was only up to the 6 " joists. To bring insulation up to R25 and install attic fan, the price was quoted as "Today only" $3444.00.I had two other companies come in: Reilly and Westchester. Both told us we had at least R 30 and needed no additional insulation other than to place batting type insulation over the 2 bare spots. Additionally, both of these representatives explained why our home felt cool (slab on grade construction, no rugs, tile and 6 windows plus French door in a small sunroom). Also, each suggested relocating the thermostat to a centrally located room. I was shocked to hear this and realized we had come so close to being taken in. We are both seniors and my husband is disabled. I feel like we dodged a very expensive bullet.The above explains why Advance gets an "F" from us.

I wasn't very happy with them. He was talking somewhere in the neighborhood of $8000 for the job. They gave me a really high estimate and I told them that I had other people come out and had given me substantially lower estimates. I told him that I had somebody coming out who was going to do it for around $5500 and he said that he would try to match his offer and would come down to $6000. He was willing to drop his price by $2000 and I thought that was a little ridiculous. I had about 10 roofers come out and they weren't anywhere near that price range. I thought that they were just well over-priced. They sent one of their high-pressure salesmen to come out and he wanted to sell and put in a ventilation system that I thought was just a big come on. The other roofers hadn't even mentioned about a ventilation system. I don't whether that was just something that they were trying to make money out of, but for them to come in at that high of a price and to lower it to that level made me think that they were either going to cut back on something or they were just really high priced at the beginning.

They did a beautiful job. They had a sales man who was very efficient and he was on top of everything. But he left the company for whatever reason and it is now a new ball game. So we were left without anyone taking care of our need or answering our queries. We were not very lucky with this company after he left. They were good when they installed the door but things took place afterward and we did not receive any clear answers or assistance. It is not easy to talk to them any longer. Price wise we shopped around and they were the least expensive. If I need a new door I will shop around again.

They performed an excellent job. The company representative and production manager are very knowledgeable and excellent to work with. They explained everything in detail and always responded promptly for any questions. The installation teams started promptly and I couldn't have been happier with their work. They had the windows installed very quickly the first day and completed the outside capping on the third day as expected. I didn't know what to expect from a job of this size, but they exceeded my expectation. The teams are very professional, highly skilled, and thorough. They took pride in their work and made sure I was happy with the job every step of the way. The results were outstanding, and every window came out perfect. They cleaned up at the end of each day and when the job was completed there wasn't any debris left behind. I would highly recommend this company. They are true professionals and care about the work they perform.

They provided the estimate quickly. They were courteous and my experience with them was good. They used a consultant to do the estimate. He provided the information that I needed and he was helpful. I didn't choose their bid. They called to follow up because I promised to call them back and I forgot.

They did a great job - showed up on time, worked quickly and carefully, cleaned up every day and got everything done when they said it would be done.

They came out around 8:30am and worked hard all day. They did all the things I wanted them to do .My roof looks great and I know it will last a long time. All the man that were here all did a great job thank you Advance great job I would not have any problems asking them back out to do any type of job.
