The company representative - Dismas Makori of Sanmak Solars Systems, Inc. - falsely represented his credentials for performing insulation and drywall work. Upon completeing the work at my residence, the readily apparent poor quality made it obvious that he was not qualified in any way to perform this type of work. I contacted the State agency where contractor licenses are issued, and found that he did not possess the license he claimed he possessed. The work was very shoddy to say the least. The drywall was improperly cut (along with bowing apprerent in some places because of the lack of nails) and installed with numerous gaps apparent along the edges adjoining the walls and the ceiling. The dry wall was also not finished. Foam insulation was also sprayed .between gaps, and little or no credible effort made to remove the excess material. After I requested that the excess foam material be removed, he enlisted the help of his 15 year old son to complete the work. He actually made it worse by gouging the foam mateial out in many places. Insulation installed in the crawlspace was not fastened appropriately as it was hanging down in places from the spaces between the floor joists. Insulation was also not properly fastened on the garage door and and was also hanging down. Although he did fix these these insulation issues to some extent (after much prodding), the work was still shoddy at best. I was planning to have a solar system installed by him, but his apparent lack of concern for quality work discouraged me from considering this. On the plus side, he did do and okay energy audit, Dos and Don'ts If you are just considering an energy audit, he would be fine. However, if you desire quality craftmanship, attention to detail, honesty, and cleanliness - I would consider looking elsewhere. Although I didn't have a solar system installed by him, his lack of attention to detail and quality is troubling to say the least - and, you would be probably be better served by looking elsewhere.
Description of Work: The company initially performed an energy audit, then intalled insulation in the attic, crawlspace, and garage. The company also installed drywall in the garage to cover the insulation.
