BEAR FENCE INC

After I contracted with this fence company, I joined Angie's List. I saw the one review (F), and got real nervous. I have to say that I understand the previous review, and fortunately mine did not go quite so badly. Ed came over and explained our options. He was knowledgeable and friendly. The price was good compared to one other quote we got, so we went ahead. We were told a month, and it took 2.5 months. Ed is not very communicative, nor is his office staff helpful. I was on the verge of panic when I called and found out the fence was in. What saved this job for me was the team that came in to install. They were professional and did a great job of installing the fence. Minimal cigarette butts :-); they cleaned up after themselves well. When the supervisor found out the day before that someone in the office didn't order enough, he put a rush order in for the remaining material. It would have been better if he had been honest up front, but it worked out in the end.

Completed contract approximately December 5th. Repeatedly tried to get in touch with individual numerous times about installation of fence in our back yard without success. Approximately 2.5 months later, he finally came to install the fence, but came up 4 feet short and stated that, "We did not provided correct paperwork (which we did) when going to contract". Left cigarette butts all around the yard and work area. Did not clean up after work was done. He then stated, "I didn't even charge you the extra wood that I brought", that exceeded our property plan. The only thing that we can say is that the job was done finally in an afternoon.
