I called another company, who quoted me 350.00 to move some furniture. I was getting another price when I called Brittingham Movers. I explained to them that I was with the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation  and that a woman in Ocean City had donated her condo furniture for us to sell at our benefit. We were unable sell it there and wanted to transport it to a consignment shop and that we had to have it out of the condo by that following Wed.. Mervin, the owner, said that he would donate the service. On the phone, he had no idea who I was, and did not ask for any proof. He just responded on good faith. We agreed to meet at 10:00 the following Monday morning. His crew was there on time and began hustling furniture down the elevator to their moving van. They were courteous, friendly, and very careful to wrap everything to avoid any damage. The furniture was promptly delivered to the consignment shop, and he called me that afternoon to see if everything was okay. I just felt that this gesture deserved mention here. I don't have anyone to compare the service with, but even if I had to pay, they did an excellent job.
