The gentleman was very nice, looked at the leak, got a wrench and tightened something under the sink for 30 seconds and handed me a bill for $239. I have 5 properties and have NEVER paid so much for ANY service done on any of the houses. There were no parts needed.. There was a $79 diagnostic fee (Seriously? A loose nut requires a diagnostic fee?) and $160 for labor...remember, 30 seconds to tighten a nut. I did have a coupon and the young man did give me a small discount as I was speechless when he gave me the bill...but no matter how nice or skilled or professional they were, that price was ridiculous and I will never call them again.

SERVICE WORK WAS TO BE DONE AT 1PM. NO SERVICE TECH. CALLED FIRST CLASS AND WAS TOLD TECH WAS TIED UP ON ANOTHER CALL. THAT WAS OK. I UNDERSTAND BUT, AT LEAST HE SHOULD HAVE CALLED TO INFORMED ME. SERVICE WAS PROVIDED THE NEXT DAY. ALSO, THE QUOTE FOR WORK TO BE DONE IS 5 WEEKS PAST DUE AS OF OCT 3. THE GENTLEMAN WAS TRYING TO PROVIDE QUOTE WITHIN 5 DAYS. 5 WEEKS LATER I AM STILL WAITING. I HAVE HAD A SERVICE CONTRACT WITH FIRST CLASS FOR A WHILE. IT IS GOING TO EXPIRE THE END OF OCT. I WILL NOT BE RENEWING.

First Class Heating was prompt and courteous during all phases of work, from providing me with an estimate to installing the equipment. They identified a unit that I hadn't considered, and this turned out to be the heat pump I purchased. They also helped me obtain a significant energy efficiency rebate for this unit under the Energize Delaware program. All in all I was extremely pleased with First Class Heating and would recommend them.

It went very very well. No complaints, no concerns. They recommended people to come out to give estimates, but those contacts never came.

The technician recommended a leak test, but fully charged the system to 7lbs of freon. Unethical to fully charge the system knowing there was a leak. Bad for the environment as well. The freon was charged a year before. It costed $713. Ouch... A year earlier, only 2 lbs were charged by a different company as the technician said no reason to fully charge when there is a leak (an honest guy). My wife was at the house while I was away. A 30lb freon tank was being sold around $200 at the time.

Jim and Cameron came to my door and introduced themselves. They both had on First Class shirts so there was no doubt to as w ho they were. They smiled and told me they were going to get right to work replacing my very rusty air handler under my house, and then put up the new air condenser. They are both perfect gentlemen and their English is perfect. They treated me with total respect even though I am a woman that was on my own. A lot of people don't treat woman well. I think it took them about 7 hours to do the job since they had to deal with moving large equipment under my house in a very tight crawl space. I felt bad that they had to be under the house so long.

Requested a quote for replacement of both a/c and furnace so not a small job. Had message from salesman to call him back. Called back multiple times and left multiple messages. Salesman never returned my call. Unfortunately I cannot recommend a company that behaves like that.

I have a detached garage with a small cabin attached to the garage. After getting bids from four companies, I had First Class install a ductless HVAC system in the garage and cabin. There is one external unit and two internal units, one for the garage and on for the cabin. The internal units can be set to different temperatures. First Class worked with me on selecting the size of the units, the price, and financing the project. They scheduled the work quickly, completed it in a timely manner, and left the area clean. Once after the installation, the unit wasn't acting properly and they came out, inspected the unit, and reset the unit under the warranty. They also gave me instructions on what to do should the problem occur again. The unit has been installed for six months and there have been no other problems. I do not believe the problem with the unit had anything to do with the installation.

It went great. When I couldn't buy a 2nd deal on Angies List, they matched the price for my rental property.

I requested an estimate to replace a condenser fan motor and was told that they would not provide an estimate over the phone, even though I had the part number and the air conditioner make, model and serial number. They gave me a date close to 2 weeks later for the estimate, with a 5 hour window. The representative arrived and said I needed a replacement fan. Only after I repeated the motor had become stuck, the rep said I needed both a fan and new condenser motor. I was already aware of pricing for the motor, about $65 for after market, and $80 for a new, OEM fan, about $145.00 total. The estimates for the repairs were $624 for after market parts, and $704 if I wanted to replace with all OEM parts. I asked the rep to re-check the prices since it seemed very expensive, almost $500 for installation, described as less than 1 hour for an a/c tech to complete. I was told those were the correct prices off their price sheet, and I declined to have them do the repairs. I was then charged a "Diagnostic" fee of $89.00 minus the Angies List coupon of $25.00 for a final price of $64.00 . I mentioned the Angies List information for First Class indicated "Free Estimates" but was told it only applies for estimates for a complete replacement system, not repairs or replacing parts. I am very disappointed with First Class. I had used them last year for an a/c tune up, and the price was very reasonable, and the tech was very thorough and professional. At that time I was very happy with their service. In the end, I purchased the parts and contacted another a/c contractor to install them. For the repairs quoted by First Class, I paid $289.08 total for parts and labor compared with the quoted prices of $624 and $704.

Our 12 year old Central AC unit burnt out and needed replacing. We contacted our current service company for an estimate to replace. The sales rep showed up with three estimates prepared that exceeded our budget. We went on Angie's List and noticed that First Class had very good ratings so we contacted them for an estimate. The sales representative for First Class Service was Duane who showed up on time and after looking at our unit reviewed all of our options with us, including repairing our existing unit. We discussed our budget for the project and based on that, Duane prepared 3 estimates (best, good and budget) for our consideration. The estimates were less than provided by our service company and the warranty was for 12 years. We also were able to use a Angie's list coupon to save an additional $500, so it was an easy decision. Installation went well. The two technicians Cameron and Matt showed up on time and did a great job. Our new system works great and so far we are very happy with it!

The problem first came up on Memorial Day. Gary arrived quickly even though it was a holiday. He discovered the problem and had to order a part which they did the next day and installed it today. Great service, wonderful technician! I highly recommend them!

Every member of the team was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, respectful, industrious, and delivered such high quality product that I was impressed beyond belief. Duane took the time and effort and with great care, made sure that I was able to understand and effectively evaluate all of my options based on performance, cost, and the best way to meet my stated goals for the project. He participated with Sean to conduct an initial impartial performance test of our HVAC system and duct environment to be used as a baseline for comparison to see how well performance goals would actually be achieved. Henry did a fantastic job of correcting major flaws in the wall, ceiling and flooring of our furnace room so that the new HVAC system would have an operating environment worthy of the equipment. HVAC mechanics Jim and Ray showed up on time every day, worked together as a team and not only completed EVERY task, but they made sure that the end product was made to true perfection. Beautiful craftsmanship work. They are not only masters of their trade, but they represent the company well by making sure that I was consulted when necessary, and always pleased with the quality of workmanship. These guys precisely measured everything and "eyeball estimated" nothing. The supervisor Ron came in periodically and also at the end of the effort, to make sure that everything was as it should be. His wisdom and expertise in solving certain day-to-day problems was outstanding. "First Class" is definitely an appropriate name for this company.

Contacted provider through Angies list. Got a message that someone will contact me.. Left dates, phone numbers and email address for provider to contact me. Never got a call, email or a second reply back through Angies list.. I guess they didn't want the business. I used another company and replace my outside ac unit and air handler.

They were here at least 8 times to try and solve problems. One repair man after another. Never felt like anyone knew how to adjust the units correctly - thermostat settings, circuit board settings - seemed like it should have been HVAC 101. Also tried to get someone to present us with options on a filtration system as these units are DUSTY DUSTY DUSTY but after 6 phone calls we have given up. Will definitively use someone else for maintenance and installation of a filtration system. They also just SHOWED UP whenever they were in the area irregardless of scheduled appointment times! Not good!

Working with Sean Walsh to design and install our replacement HVAC system was a delight. Mr. Walsh was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job explaining our options based on a thorough assessment of our house and our needs. The father and son installation team of Tom and Josh did a great job. Everyone with whom we worked at First Class was polite and knew their crafts well. When you are essentially having a crew "move in" for a week, it is nice when they have the unbeatable combination of excellent technical and interpersonal skills. They arrived on time, protected our carpets and floors and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. When concerns arose with the building inspector over the location of the outside unit (even though it had been previously approved by the permit process), Sean moved quickly to come up with a solution that satisfied all parties and did not result in delay to the job or extra cost to us. The rim joist work was done separately and Sean sent us pictures of the completed work. We are very pleased with the comfort upgrade we have experienced since the system was installed and are also enjoying lower electric bills due to the efficiency of the new heat pump, new duct work/ design and the sealing of the rim joists. About a month after installation we encountered a problem with a condensation drain hose. Sean handled the situation immediately even though he was out of town and ensured that everything was made right. Service after the sale is important and has been excellent as well.

The installers were prompt and very knowledgeable. They asked permission or advised me whenever something was to happen. They did their job professionally and took time to stay late to be sure I understood everything about my new systems. They tested everything to be sure it was working properly. The field coordinator stopped by a couple times to check on things and was very helpful as well. The installers (including the plumber) kept any inconveniences to a minimum and cleaned up after themselves. Before that, I had had my AC unit tested, and that tech gave me an honest and frank opinion. Then the sales rep came the same day at my request. He was meticulous in his measurements and detailed in his discussion of the systems and options available. He even was very helpful when I reconsidered my choice and upgraded my order. He also checked back with me the day after the install to be sure I was still fully satisfied. He then stopped by to help me connect the thermostat to the WiFi and get me connected to the remote connection. Every one I dealt with at First Class Heating was very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. The only thing they could have done better was to give me a reminder call that the install would be happening. It was 11 days from my order to my install date, and though I had no problem remembering, the call would have been nice.

We called Charles Moon plumbing on 7-24-14 and First Class plumbing came out. The owner owns both companies.There was trouble with a top floor toilet and a second floor toilet. When the top floor toilet was flushed, the second floor toilet overflowed. They cleared the main drain and said the work was guaranteed.We had trouble again on September 3rd and had the same situation. Top floor toilet was flushed and second floor toilet overflowed.I called First Class plumbing and Charles Moon plumbing came back out. They ended up snaking the drain again and told us "No charge". I asked them if they could camera the line and neither first class or Charles Moon could do that. Charles moon said they had a camera but it was broken and could be months before they could camera the line so i had to call a different plumbing company to come out and do that. Charles Moon plumbing called me and told me even though they said "No Charge" for the second visit, they were charging for the revisit since their guarantee was only for 30 days and it had been 40 days since we had them out originally. That is not good business. They were out twice and I still had the same problem. The day after their second visit, the toilet was overflowing again. Not only that but they did not have the right equipment to resolve the original problem and I don't trust them and would not recommend them for going back on their word. Another company came out, camera inspected the line and found a blockage.Without the camera inspection I don't think the blockage would have been located.

Scheduling was very easy and they call ahead of time to let you know when they will be there. The technicians were professional and wore booties in the home. They came, did the work, and made sure we were happy. The furnace works fabulously.

First Class is a Home Depot contractor. Andy, the First Class sales rep, arrived right on time for the appointment and after a walk-thru of our heating system and some measurements, recommended an AprilAire 800 steam humidifier. The installation was done only two days later. The two man crew had it done in only four hours in the cramped space under the stairs, and having two heating zones to contend with. We had other estimates at up to $2000 for a similar systems by Honeywell and Trane (our furnace is a Trane), but we have had AprilAire's in two other houses and respect the brand highly.
