+ -1 moreBuddy is one of the technicians that came out and he was very, very good. He was extremely well informed and helpful. Different technicians come out each time. I took their maintenance contract so they will come out twice a year. They have been out here twice and both times the technicians have been nice. The price was good. I did get one other price when we were looking and they were $1500 more so I assume these people were comparable. I liked the person who came out.

+ -1 moreThey were wonderful. It was an incredible job. They were so professional. They explained why they wanted to do all of the work they did. They took our input. They were absolutely wonderful. I had a little bit of a problem with the heat pump. He was back within a day to make adjustments. My bills have gone way down.
Description of Work: They installed a whole new system. They redid all of the duct work. They put in all-new vents and everything.

+ -1 moreI called them because my heater wasn't working correctly. House wasn'twarm enough. They came very quickly within a few days (I have a wood stove for heating also and didn't need them to come that day). They did a regular maintance on heater and discovered that some of the connections needed cleaning. It has worked great since. I paid for the Spring maintance at the same time. I called for the AC to be checked they came within a week and on time without any problems.
Description of Work: Regular maintaince on Gas Heater and A/C cleaned connections on Gas heater where they were not properly connecting. Gas heater January 2011 A/C May 2011

+ -1 moreThe service was good but I thought it was a little expensive. They were very nice and on time. I guess I was a little shocked with the price they charge for the thermostat and stuff. They seemed to be okay as far as the service. He was running late, but he did call. In the future I would do a price comparison before using them again.

+ -1 moreFirst Serice called in as blower were blowing cold air. They inspected all units and recommended the replace parts. On checking they found a buy out of the rerquired parts which resulted in a over all cost saving of about 50%.The replacements were made and the heating and A/c have worked fine for over a year to date. I have a yearly contract with them for service and repaitrs.
Description of Work: replaced defective compressor for heating and A/c. Used a guy ou5 on the parts and received a great price. Very attentive service and very satisfactory.

+ -1 moreA/c was struggling away but house remained stuffy. I checked Angie's List, chose First Class, called, and had an apointment scheduled within 24 hours. Technician arrived on time, explained my options, then worked quickly and neatly. Walked me through the process, too--I could feel the difference once he recharged the A/C coolant (took 5 units!) and the A/C began extracting heat from the house. While he worked, we discussed alternatives for when this nearly 20-year-old system would need replacement, including green options like geothermal. He finished quickly, and the A/C has been working fine since.

He is also very accomodating and willing to work with the customer and keeps in touch from the sales call right through to job completion. The father/son installation crew were very friendly and efficient. They completed the job in the time frame given and were also very accomodating. I couldn't have asked for any better experience than the one I had with First Class Heating and Air. I highly recommend the company.

Description of Work: First Class Heating and Cooling truly lived up to their name. I had multiple estimates to work from, and the quality and price that they offered was extremely competitive. During the "estimate process" they provided me with a portable window air conditioning unit (at no cost to me) even though they understood I had not yet finished seeking bids or made my final decision. The work crew arrived a couple minutes early the day of installation, and all the work was performed in a very professional manner. I ended up having a minor issue with air flow, but it turned out to be an issue with the electronic dampers that had been improperly installed since the day the house was built. Although the problem was in no way due to the new installation, it was repaired at no cost.

The dispatcher was very good about letting me know when the technician would arrive--he ended up being a little late because of a previous job. He was unfailingly pleasant and courteous and answered many questions that I had. I picked First Class Heating & AC because of their good rating and their $25 coupon. I'm extremely pleased with my experience with this company and especially the technician, R.J. I'll be happy to recommend them to my friends.
Description of Work: My a/c failed on the afternoon of the 4th. When the technician arrived on the 6th, he checked the panel on the compressor to see if all the wires were working and checked the freon level. When those things checked out good, he took off the cover and fan to try a hard start. He found a wire terminal on the compressor that had burnt completely off. I think I had heard it go poof the afternoon of the 4th. He replaced two wires on the compressor and after that the compressor started right up.
