The Gutter Guys

After 2 years of wating for contractors to repair and replace our gutters and at least 4 no shows by other companies, we were delighted with the service we received from The Gutter Guys. The estimator came right on time, spent time evaluating our issues and discussing the options with me, and proposed a well-thought plan. The technicians arrived exactly as scheduled and completed the work well before our due date. No trash or debris was left behind and they guys were pleasant and professional. Very very happy with the result!!!!

It was very professional. They told us roof repair needed before install gutters. They were very grateful because we did not know about bad roof. Saved a huge repair on roof down the road!

Their guards helped but didn't fully solve the problem given the amount of rain that often falls in this area. We had them removed and went with a product that allows for more rain water to enter the gutter.

The guys rang the bell to let me know they had arrived and went over what they were going to do and let me know when they were done. They were very professional.

I met with estimator, Agreed on the price and start date. Installers actually came a week early and I was not home. Completed the installation. Job site was left clean, one minor area that needed correction. They came back and made the repair. No payments were made until I was 100% satisfied .

Excellent from start to finish. I am including in this rating, the initial gentleman who came to give his estimate and explained with care why I should move to seamless, covered gutters as opposed to the screened gutters. Estimate given on May 24, 2013 and work completed on June 19, 2013.

Salesman was through in his explanation. Work was done while we were away. We returned to complete job and all debris cleaned up.

The group of 3 workers were on time - polite, did job - no nonsense. Price reasonable. Explained all work before and after job.

Technician came & gave us estimate, very professional. Gutters were cleaned approx 3 wks later. The gutters were cleaned w/ no mess left behind.

Personnel did excellent work. Were careful not to cause any damage to siding or shrubs. Can hardly wait for rain to see it work! Guys very polite.

During their visit on approximately 6/18, They told me that the gutters were dirty on the grids. They provided a new brush and even cleaned them for us. That afternoon we received a very hard rain. The gutters did not hold the water and we placed several buckets out to try and stop the water from going in to the deck. I called again on 6/20 and they could not get a tech out until 6/27. On 6/27 they fixed a leak on a new section that they installed in March due to damage from a tree. When it came to the discussion on the front porch, the tech wanted to know if I wanted another downspout installed. I told him that I hired The Gutter Guys to be the experts in this area and if he was not the expert then we needed someone out to determine why the system was not working. They did set up another appointment 7/5 but I was loosing my patience and explored removing the guards and using a different product. I also want to note that the product that gutter guys put on the house was not installed as stated in their brochure. They clearly stated that the gutters guards would be installed with stainless steel screws. The screws that are on the house are not stainless steel screws. After researching other companies to either stay with plain uncovered gutters or another gutter guard product, I decided to go with leaf filter which is a stainless steel mess grid and so far the product is working great.

Called the establishment to schedule an estimate. The person who answered my call was very helpful and professional. Took all my information and told me that they would call me back with an estimate. Didn't hear from them for three days so I called back, actually had to call back two more times before I finally got a hold of someone. Again, the person on the other line was very helpful, professional and apologetic. Apparently, they are very busy. But she promised that they would get me an estimate within the next few days. That was 6 days ago. No estimate, no phone call. Now I consider myself a fairly patient consumer, and am understanding of circumstances that arise. However, it is beyond my understanding how this establishment cannot make a simple phone call to at least apologize for the delay and give me a update on when an estimate can be expected. Had they made that simple phone call, I would not be writing this review. I called Ocean Waves yesterday, they sent someone out the same day, emailed me a very reasonable estimate and am scheduled for a gutter cleaning next week. Who knows, these gutter guys might do awesome work, but if you need someone to actually come and clean your gutters in any reasonable amount of time, I'd recommend Ocean Waves
