 + -1 moreWe were impressed with Tim and his teenage son from the very first day that they started the job. Tim's very conscientious and thoughtful about his work, his client's property, and keeping his customer informed of the progress. He called in advance if weather or another conflicting job kept him from working on our job on a particular day. He was organized, respectful and polite, arrived on time, and made a daily effort of ensuring that they had everything they needed to use for that day's task on the truck. His son was super polite and friendly, and worked side-by-side with his father each day. Tim truly understands POOLS. Our pool had been neglected by previous owners and was in dire shape. The first process was ordering the liner. He measured the new liner perfectly and gave us ample styles to select from. He tackled the clean up of the old pool bottom on Day 1 using a bobcat and wheel barrows to extract years of debris. Then the next days that followed, he had the task of reinforcing the rusty sidewalls with aluminum flashing, striking symmetrical lines to form the base and sidewalls in preparation for foam and vermiculite. I cannot say enough about how METICULOUS Tim is about his work! He then installed a new bottom drain and an additional return to the pool which were add-ons, as well as burying some old piping from the pump to the pool. He worried that the thick liner that we ordered would not lay perfectly due to the chilly weather we were facing in November. But we were blessed the day that the liner was installed as the weather was mild and sunny. Much to Tim's surprise, the liner went in perfectly ! The pool looks brand new! We are now in anticipation of enjoying our and quot;newand quot; old pool this coming summer season...and we have Tim to thank for going the extra mile for us! We found Tim to be a personable, trustworthy, highly skilled and professional tradesman.... and we would DEFINITELY refer Pools N Paper without hesitation to EVERYONE!
Description of Work: This was the best experience with a contractor EVER! After researching the competition and obtaining several estimates to have our 40+yr old in-ground pool restored with a new liner and foundation work, we chose Pools N Paper for the job. We live in lower New Castle County, but this company from Milford went the distance for us! This was a MAJOR repair job that, initially, we feared might not happen due to budget, condition of the pool, and fast approaching winter weather. We were under a February 2014 deadline imposed by our homeowners insurance company to either fill it in or repair it . At first glance, Tim Plump (the owner of Pools N Paper) was inclined to think that the pool could not be fixed, but then after a 2nd visit to re-examine it again, he decided to take on the challenge. He did an amazingly, beautiful job! He worked with our budget and time constraints, and completed the job on schedule. So very accommodating and professional! It was refreshing to witness Tim's "HANDS ON" approach and not delegating the job to subordinates.
