I bought the coupon on the Angie's list website with a credit card. Sylca called me within 24 hours of buying the coupon for their services to set up an appointment to see what I wanted to have done and to schedule a day of service. The owner came to my house two days later to see what I wanted to have done. He told me the price of the dirt and mulch (which were not included with the coupon). He came back with his crew within the week to do the work. He was extremely professional, and the owner personally worked a few extra hours (even as it got dark) to finish pulling weeds and stumps from the last bed. I would certainly recommend Sylca and use them again. Very prompt. Very professional. Very thorough.

I purchased the Angie's deal for the landscaper for a day. Carlos from Sylca immediately called me within 10 minutes of purchasing the deal and came to my house an hour later to look at my property and the work that need to be completed. He gave me an estimate to dig out an old flower bed, install several new bushes, reshape the bed and lay new mulch. I was told all of this could be done using the Angie's deal. Carlos and his team came to my house promptly on the day I was given and had all of the work was completed within a few hours. I am very happy with the work and was so pleased with my experience that I hired Sylca to do my lawn mowing as well. I highly recommend Carlos and his team at Sylca for any landscaping needs. Everyone was very friendly and professional.

Work was postponed for a week, due to weather, but they were right on time on the agreed day, the next week. Carlos and his crew worked very hard, and were very knowledgeable and thorough throughout the whole process. He described everything they were going to do, and I was very happy with the results, and the area was cleaned up very well I hope to use his company in the future and highly recommend him.

Although we had some difficulties with returning communication, the problem was on both sides. I did not know that I needed to check my Angies List inbox daily, so I was late in communicating back, and then there were a few times I did not hear from them.I am also in the middle of medical treatment, which also lengthened my response times. That said, we are very pleased with the work that was done and will certainly continue to use the company. Juan is very professional, knows his field and is very willing to work the client, including his professional suggestions. His work team is also tops, doing an outstanding job.

Went very well, communication could have been a bit more prompt, but I understand this is a busy season for landscaping. Overall work was high quality, would definitely use Sylca, Inc again in the future.

They came two days early, called first which was fine. Delivered and spread 2 cu yds of very nice mulch on two corner beads and three tree beds. Fast, efficient, professional and they cleaned up very well. Would use them again or recommend to others.

I think they are too busy and don't make time to communicate with their customers. They do good work but communication is bad.

The price was good and they did a good job. The job done was good. The quality seems good so far but time will really tell. The first time he could not come but when we settled for an actual day he was very punctual. He also seemed professional though I did not meet him in person.

I contacted Carlos on 4/21 for an estimate for some Landscaping set up an appointment for 4/24 at 4 he finally showed up around 5pm and said he was sorry but he didn't have my phone # so he couldn't call to let me know he was going to be late. We discussed what i wanted to have done and he said he would get back with me the following week because he needed to get to Ronnies to get prices fro plants that was ok. The following week came around and he never called to give me a price i contacted him around 5/14 and he said he would get back with me in a couple of hours that he had the prices but didn't have them in his truck that was 5/14 it is 5/28 and Carlos has never called. I would not use him for anything to me he is very unreliable...

Showed up on time and worked hard to finish up the area I needed cleared. The team went the extra mile to get the job done rather than quit when the number of hours I paid for were up. Will do business with them again.

Qe set up appointments twice never showed up or call. How this company keeps this rating is beyond me. If u use this company Nd get lucky that he showed up. Lucky u

The service was disappointing, although I guess that I should not have expected much for $99 . The contractor visited the property unannounced (on a weekend) to review the project. Follow-up communication was poor.... I arrived home from work one day to find the work completed..... despite a promise to notify me in advance. Only a portion of the agreed upon service area was aerated. I cannot find any grass seed in the lawn so I am doubtful that much, if any, overseeding was performed. Like many other recent Big Deal purchases, I will need to rent equipment or hire another contractor to finish the job.

This is our second time using Carlos and his team and we remain quite pleased with his work. On his first assignment he installed a new front walk and front porch overlay, widening the porch in the process. After the work was concluded it became evident that a row of hedges along the walk obscured the view of the beautiful stonework from the street, so we had him come back and remove the hedges and install a low stone edge/border to the outside edge of the walk. He did all this stonework himself, while his crew worked on the other tasks. They created a nice bed for flowers alongside the walk where the hedges had been, which we will enjoy planting. He had three men with him who dug a trench for the French drain, replacing the sod so it is barely visible that any work was done. The three of them dug up a tree stump and leveled the site, creating a circular flower bed. They measured carefully to ensure the bed was a perfect circle and arranged the sod they had dug up to define it. They trimmed many bushes, hollies, hydrangeas, rhododendrons, butterfly bushes, etc. and raked beneath them. They removed all the hedge and bush trimmings in their truck, and left everything in pristine condition. They did all this work in about six hours. It was about a three-week wait to get on Carlos' schedule for the work. He called a time or two before he came to review the work we wanted so he could purchase stone and other materials to have on hand for the day of the work. We had purchased two of the "big deal" coupons for $279 for landscape clean-up, and the additional stone work was an up charge, which we expected. We are very glad to have found Carlos' firm. He also has a grass cutting operation, which we may consider using, if we tire of doing it ourselves, and snow removal in the winter. He and his team are professional and do beautiful work, and it is nice not to have to worry about a quality job getting done.

Though we were a little concerned by the one review that said Carlos never came out to do the work, nor contacted the customer, all the other reviews were glowing. We made arrangements to have him come out for an estimate on a variety of outside work, starting with the core aeration and overseeding he is offering on Angie's list. As we waited for him to arrive last thursday evening, we received a text from him saying he could not make it, and asked us to reschedule. We both spoke with him and chose 9am this (monday) morning, from his list of available dates/times. 9am - No Carlos. At 9:15am my wife called him and asked if he was still coming. He didn't offer any apology, just said he was tied up and was still coming. By 10am, no word, and no response to a call or to a text we sent him. It's now 1pm, and no word back from Carlos. We're bummed, both because we liked what we read about his work from other subscribers, and because we wasted time on multiple occasions waiting or trying to contact him.

Everything went well I was a little scare during demo time but the results were beautiful. I will definitely use them again and again.

Spoke with José and set appointment up for last week. Supposed to come at 7 o'clock and never called never show. This may be a great company but I would not call them because they won't call you back, or show up for the appointment. Just call back and let the home owner know your not coming.

Carlos and his team laid a new front sidewalk and overlaid our old front porch with stone. He contacted me timely after I purchased the deal, and arrived on time for our appointment to review the work. He is very professional and knowledgeable. He showed us photos of his completed projects and offered his ideas for our project, which we accepted. He has excellent design skills and ideas. We chose the stone we wanted and he worked up a very reasonable quote, which we accepted on the spot. He gave us a date to start the work, which was less than 2 weeks from his initial visit. He and his team arrived on time to begin the work. They removed plantings carefully and protected them for replanting when the work was finished. The team ran a very clean and organized work site, asking us for our opinion along the way. The finished project is absolutely beautiful, and makes a huge difference in the appearance of our home. His team meticulously cleaned up, even trimming our hedges and power washing the driveway. We will absolutely use him again, probably over the summer. He has very high standards and closely supervises the work to ensure the customer is happy. You will not be disappointed if you engage him for work.

Carlos and his team were great! My husband and I had a child over the summer and we unfortunately neglected our weeds / front gardening for a while. The team were on time, professional and made the front of my house look great again! Thanks!

The owner of this company is very hands on, and always comes to the job to inspect the work. Very caring.

Sylca met all my expectations and more. The clearing, cleaning and hauling work was was well done and set the scene for the next phase of some yard renovations plans I want to address in the coming spring and summer. The business owner, Carlos, was knowledgable, courteous and a pleasure to work with.
