+ -1 moreWe had obtained a total of four quotes from HVAC companies. The first was from Horizon, they quoted $12,000 for a Lennox system. Next was a quote for a Carrier two-stage Infinity heat pump, 16 SEER, with Infinity variable speed air handling unit, 15 KW electric heat package, and touch screen Infinity control, for $9,480. Third was a Luxaire Acclimate 16 SEER heat pump, matching air handler, and communicating control for $6,000. The last quote was the one we accepted, from Strong Heating & Cooling - we liked the American Standard/Trane product and the price was competitive. Mr. Karasek was also recommended to us by a friend.
Description of Work: We needed to replace a 13-year-old Carrier split system heat pump which had a leaking coil. Strong Heating & Cooling installed a 3-ton American Standard 15 SEER heat pump with a variable speed air handler, Honeywell digital thermostat, and a staged 15 KW electric heat kit for $6,450. We feel it is an excellent heat pump and system at a very good price. Installation went smoothly; the new system is quiet; and we are enjoying the comfortable temperature in our home!
