 + -1 moreThey came out the day I called to provide an estimate and returned to do the work a day or two later. The quality of the work was excellent and the final cost was in line with the estimate. We added requests while they were in the home and they took care of those without any problem.
Description of Work: He moved two electrical outlets in preparation for kitchen remodeling work, added a third outlet, rewired the kitchen to fix a problem of one circuit overloading, repaired the breaker box, and mapped all of the circuit breakers to simplify future work. I plan to have additional work done by Chieffo and have used them in the past. They do good work and were very prompt.

Description of Work: We had our water meter inside our home changed. When water tech was there he got slight shock when he touched the pipe. He felt there was something grounding to the pipe. We called Chieffo right away hoping they could come out and find out what was wrong. Left all of our info with person answering the phones; never got a call back.

 + -1 moreI was very pleased with the work. Jerry, the main serviceman, answered all my questions and let me make suggestions about the installation. He was careful to identify all circuits when he was done and write the id on the new breakers. He was very skilled and clever pulling new wires from outside. He also grounded the service to my copper pipes, which had not previously been done properly. The outdoor receptacles work great and I feel much safer now both inside the house and outside swiming in the pool. I have circuits left for adding power to outside buildings or other future projects as needed. The Chieffo crew worked carefully and cleaned up everything perfectly. The county inspecter came and approved their work.
Description of Work: I have used Chieffo before to do copalum repairs on the aluminum wiring in our ca. 1965 house as they are one of the only area companies that can do the high pressure bonding of copper to aluminum to make switches and receptacles safe. So when I needed some new outdoor outlets for my swimming pool pump I called them. They told me that my original 100 amp service panel was full and that pushmatic parts were no longer available. They urged me to upgrade to a new 200 amp panel so I would have space for extras and possible future additions. They showed me a standard higher price for this and then gave me a discounted price and threw in the 220 and 110 outdoor outlets. They had to move my outdoor electric meter which was not in a position up to current code, and the job was very involved, taking up to 6 people over 3 days

 + -1 moreTwo electricians (a prof. and an apprentice) were sent. The room in question had recently been gutted, and the old wiring was intact. I wanted an estimate for replacing the two existing light switches, two outlet boxes, one light fixture, and to put the room on its own breaker. They were pleasant guys, but I was pretty shocked by the $1300 estimate. I thought it would be much less, and friends later told me that they have a reputation for being pricey. I cannot comment on the quality of their work since I did not accept the estimate.
Description of Work: Chieffo performed an estimate for rewiring of a room that is about 12 x 12 feet. They arrived, looked at the room, spoke with me about my needs, and created the estimate.

 + -1 moreI was responding to findings of a certified home inspector. The house is being sold. I called Chieffo on Monday and they were able to schedule a technician to come out the next day,
Description of Work: Inspected a non grounded outlet in the kitchen and found that the ground had been disconnected at the box. Also repaired 3 improperly installed 3 prong outlets in the bedroom that were not in fact grounded. (this is a 50+ year old house) Installed proper outlets.
