BALLPEEN CONSTRUCTION

The workers were polite and neat. Most all of the work was completed quickly, once they got here, and done well. The front door is not set in the jamb correctly (sticks out at one corner) and tho it did at first, will not lock now (Interior framing was never finished.) They started building a closet in my entry way, but it has not been finished. They were supposed to install shutters to outside of house, but never came back. During the course of the work, there was a problem with the new door that I had ordered, which took over two weeks to come in. Ryan picked up the door, but when we looked it opened the wrong way and I took it back to Lowe's and we had to wait for a new one. I called them when it came in, and they scheduled a time to come, but never showed or called. (This had happened once before when they were working on the pool room). They finally did come, and install the door and finished the siding. They did not want to drywall up to the door, which left a large space, so I agreed and said I would get woodwork to finish it off - it ended up having to be custom made. When they were finished that day (and I didn't know they were finished) Chuck called on the phone to tell me Ryan was waiting outside for a check. I said I didn't know the amount and Chuck YELLED at me and told me I was always trying to argue how much I owed. I had already paid $8900 for the siding work and $1800 for the pool room work - each time immediately as soon as they were finished. I went out, and (crying) told Ryan and gave him the check for $1800 - without a receipt. Chuck was also supposed to give me the name of a Gutter installer - after asking him and Ryan 5 times I never got the name. Ryan left telling me to let him know when the special order doors for the entry closet and the woodwork for around the door was in and they would come back. I had to wait to special order the doors till Ryan measured and checked what I wanted so I could be sure to order them correctly. I called Chuck when the materials were here, and told him about the front door, and he gave me a day they would come. I said I wanted to be home, so I took off work that day. Nobody came. I called Chuck - he never called back. I called Ryan and he said he wasn't told to be here that day but he would check and call me back. He also never called back. I called Chuck once more - have never heard from them. I originally heard of this company because they were the installer for windows I had gotten from Home Depot. They did a good job - quick and neat, so I asked them for a bid to do the siding. The pool room wasn't something we had planned on. We found the damage during the time they were working on the siding and again, asked if they could do the repairs. After one time when they didn't show up when Chuck said, and him not returning several phone calls, I called Home Depot to see if they had another phone number and was told they were no longer using Ballpeen
