Thanks to Rosewell found the machines we needed. She worked with us patiently, was very courteous, and got us a good price. She also set up a delivery date that worked for us. Donny and John handled the delivery efficiently and with good humor. They took the time to answer our questions, and gave us some good tips on how to protect the machines. Great delivery people.

We just bought our new Speed Queen Washer & Dryer from Millman's Appliances in Lewes, DE. Millman's was great to deal with; we went in on the Saturday before Christmas and they got it ordered lickity split! We got it delivered today and the delivery guys, BJ & Easy were just fabulous. They removed our old appliances and set up the new ones. They were professional, polite and cleaned up when they were done. I will definitely use them again when we update our kitchen as they have a wonderful selection of high end appliances. I was like a kid in a candy store.

From the first time I stepped into the showroom to delivery everyone was amazing and very helpful. All questions were answered and the deliver went so well, it just was a great experience! OUTSTANDING customer service! Polite knowledgeable and professional staff! Wide verity off appliances offered. Clean show room even with the renovations takeing place for the new displays they maintained a clean sanitary welcoming show room! ALL Staff was fallowing COVID 19 protocols Reguardless how ridiculous they are. I would definitely recommend stopping in for any of you appliance needs!!!

Installed on time. Refrigerator fit into space among cabinets but had plastic on top which blocked cabinets above. Refrigerator also stuck out beyond cabinets. Now understand there is a "counter depth" fridge. Paid @ $500 to have cabinets adjusted so they were useful again.

We need a new washing machine when our old one died. We were on our way to Loews but decided to stop at Millman's Appliance to see what they had. We were pleasantly surprised when they were less than our local big box store. We saved enough that we also purchased a dishwasher at the same time. They went out of their way to get us what we wanted and were very very courteous and efficient even though they were very busy at the time. I would recommend this company to my friends without hesitation.

It was important that the unit be delivered quickly because the apartment was occupied and the temps were above 100F. The AC had to be ordered but arrived on time and was installed immediately. I get all my appliances at Millman's. My primary residence is in the DC area so all my interactions with them is over the phone. I have used them since the late 90s. They have been reliable for me.

They did nothing on that service call but look at the range. No tools came out and no testing was done. They told us a new a new heating coil was needed and they would have to order one. We were charged $100 up front for the visit. Two weeks later, we had not received any word from them. However, we received a bill in the mail for the cost of the part. My husband went to the store to find out what was going on. They could not find the part we had been charged for. Obviously my husband did not pay that invoice. The employees were rude and not helpful. My husband decided we were no longer going to do business with them. It is a shame. We had been doing business with them for over 20 years (that was before the business changed hands).

The washer and dryer were delivered as agreed upon but the stack kit was not the correct one so it had to be stacked with a piece of cardboard. That was not a problem because they said the correct one was in another location and would be delivered within a short period of time. I waited for a call but none came so I called to determine the status. I also told them that I had not received one of the manuals. The response was that I could find it on line if I needed it. they also knew nothing about the stack kit and said they would look into it. Again I waited but no follow up. I called again and again no one knew anything about it(I had already paid for everything). I asked for the manager who found out that the stack kit had been sold to another person so it would have to be ordered. I waited again and called back a couple of weeks later. It had come in but they hadn't called. We set up a time for delivery and the saga ended. I never did receive a copy of the missing manual. My family had used this company for years and the service is not what it used to be. That makes me sad because I do think it is important to buy local.
Description of Work: Replacement of washer and dryer. Haul away of old washer. The washer and dryer work well, but the experience was less than satisfying.

After the repairs were completed, during the returning of the appliance to its original location the appliance exhaust was damaged due to negligence of the installation people, The damage was not noticed until after I had paid the installation people the balance of their cash payment of $150 and they left the property. I contacted one of the installers and informed him of what happened and he said they would contact me to set a time to come back. A few minutes later, the other installer called me and harshly informed me that it wasn't their fault and etc. but, said they would call the following morning to set a return time. There was no phone call the following day from the installers, I tried to contact them the following day without success. I had to acquire another appliance repair company to move the appliance so I could do the necessary repairs, which cost the property owner another $80.
Description of Work: A temporary relocation of an appliance was needed to do related repairs in the appliance area. The office employee at Millman's suggested to the property owner that he acquire Millman's Installation people to do the necessary movement of the appliance and that the installers did this type work on their own time. The property owner hired me to coordinate the moving with Millman's appliance installers.

The Appliances we chose were top rated name brands. The agravation of waiting 4 1/2 hrs for a "you will be our first delivery" was not worth it. Overall it was a lousey experience and Millmans staff should have just spoken the truth and said someone screwed up and we apoligize for the incovience and the extra cost of your plumber. But they didn't!
Description of Work: Purchased 3 appliance items. Asked for a scheduled delivery to coordinate with a plumber for first thing on a Thursday morning.Called salesman to confirm delivery. Went" in person "to service desk and asked to have our delivery set up for the very first delivery. Okay. Hire plumber at $109/hr.( that was refered by salesman) for first thing to do hook ups & installations and be there for appliance delivery. Thursday morning, plumber arrives 15 mins early and begins his work. 2 hrs later, Millimans delivery still not there. We are now into plumber for $218. We call Millimans and ask where is the truck. We thought we were the very first delivery??!! They don't have an answer. They have no idea where the truck is??!! Come on! Plumber says he better leave so as not to charge us for sitting around and doing nothing until the truck decides to arrive...at $109/hr. And oh by the way....most truck drivers have cell phones and some now have GPS tracking on them..so Millmans knows exactly where their trucks are!! We called Millimans 2 more times and got the exact same answer. We don't know where the truck is and we don't know when your delivery will arrive. At 12:15 we get a call the truck will be there within the hour. Truck arrives 1:30pm with our appliances. Delivery guys were nice and did their job. Plumber couldn't return until 3:30 pm and was there another 3 hrs at $109/hr. EXTREMELY disappointed by the LACK of customer service of Millmans appliances. We would NEVER shop there again.

Description of Work: Dishwasher, washer and dryer repair. We have used Millman's for years. So please understand that this is my honest review of their service department and note that my review is of the SERVICE department (not sales) and I have used them 3 times in the last year . First, you have to leave a deposit of $100 on your credit card to schedule a service call. This is the only company in the area that I know of that does this and it makes me uncomfortable, and no I have never been a late or no pay - this is their policy. Second, the service staff that has been dispatched for my service calls have been extremely unpersonable, unprofessional and rude. Did they do the job? Yes but I felt icky after having such unfriendly people in my home and will NEVER use the service department and have since found a wonderful appliance repair company, RB appliance.

Washing machine was delivered with scratches and dents on three out of 4 panels. Called store while delivery men were still here and was told they would send out three new panels. I wanted new machine. They didn't have another one and offered a smaller capacity machine but supposedly a better brand. I refused. I wanted same name brand for no more money and wanted it that day. MY father was without machine for a week already and the store saleswoman knew this from sales call I made week before. It was obvious that she sold me a floor model because when I originally called she said they didn't have the machine I wanted. When she realized I was not making the purchase, she put me on hold for 5 minutes came back on and had "found" a machine for me. It was a nightmare dealing with the sales woman and I demanded the owner call me but he refused! I will never shop at this store!! Happily, 4 months and counting and machine is working well!

The price for our unit was comparable to larger stores but we wanted to use a local business. The refrigerator was delivered early in the delivery window, which was appreciated. The workers removed the old fridge and installed the new one, and were courteous and professional, taking time to make sure nothing was damaged while moving the appliances around. So far the fridge works great and we are satisfied with the service.

Washer functioned properly with slight knock, repairman diagnosed old belt and replaced it. Customer requested copy of invoice at service but was refused. DId a load of laundry later and machine no longer spun. Company refused to repair at their cost. Invited customer to purchase new washer. Washer had always worked fine before service. Customer went to company office and got a copy of invoice. All work was supposed to be signed off and approved by customer. Never happened. Company took payment up front and repairman then damaged washer. Customer will litigate. Stay away from this company- they were bought out and no longer provide honest service.

Description of Work: Wow, what a business...Millman's is courteous, and truly cares about their customers. I don't typically take the time to rate anything, but I do like to give credit where it's due. The saleswoman, Rose, was extremely knowledgeable, she helped me to design my entire kitchen, and also gave me contact information for other LOCAL businesses for my contracting needs. I always thought that good service was dead, but even when it came down to the delivery, I was called when my appliances came in, and promptly put on the schedule according to my schedule, although they don't deliver on Saturdays, they put an effort into delivering my appliances when I was available. The delivery staff was professional, and they were able to show me how to use all of my appliances. Thank you, Millman's.

Very well. The woman who helped me pick out the appliances knew the inventory very well. She went out of her way to find the best match for my needs, as well as a variety of rebates. Millman's matched or beat the prices at the big box stores. When the oven door handle was damaged during installation, they immediately ordered a new part and installed it. Overall, a great experience.

Description of Work: We purchased a beverage refrigerator from them because they had the best price for the model we wanted. They had to order the fridge but had a good estimate of the delivery time from the vendor. They also installed the fridge for us which included taking it up two flights of stairs.

Except for the refrigerator, which was back-ordered and took two months to install, the other appliances were installed on time. The oven was a lemon from the beginning, and the company sent out repair technicians twice to replace a key component of the control panel. Finally, when the oven started to turn itself on (yes, I'm serious), the company intervened on my behalf and arranged for the manufacturer to buy back the oven at the original cost. The company then allowed me to select another model from their showroom and it was installed within weeks. My appliances work perfectly now.

Millman's Appliances came out the day after I contacted them and found a problem with a part and fixed it. But it still wasn't cleaning properly. So, they came back again and ordered a different, but considerably more expensive, part. When they came to install the more expensive part, they found the problem. Our dishwasher was not installed correctly by the previous owners. The main water line hose was bent. This problem would have never been found unless you were replacing the dishwasher. I was concerned that I would be charged for three service calls, but was only charged for one, since they said "we should have found the problem on the first visit." I will recommend them again and again. And I will buy any future appliances from them no matter the cost. Their service was excellent.
Description of Work: Dishwasher leaked under the sink and did not clean.
