 + -1 moreWhen looking for a small repair shop, I checked online and found him, Midway Services.He advised me that he had never seen a stuck cord like that but would look into. He also advised me upon dropping the power washer off that if the repair cost was going to be over $75.00, he would call me first to see if I wanted to proceed. I received a call about 10 days later saying the power washer was fixed and ready to be picked up. I arrived and he said that he changed the oil a few times and said that I would have to change is several more times after each time that the gas ran out. I said fine, but I thought to myself, if he was not going to clean out the oil compartment all the way and I was going to have to do it, why was I hiring him. Nonetheless, I agreed. He proceeded to tell me that the cost was $125.00 more then the deposit of $25.00 I had already left on the day I dropped it off. Total cost, $150.00. This is double the original quoted price of $75.00 and not much less then buying a new one at Lowe's. Ugh! I was very frustrated to say the least but I had a working power washer and even though I would have to continue to fixed the oil changing on my own, I was satisfied. The bad news happen after the first use of the power washer. The gas rang out like he advised me to do and then I went to change the oil and refilled the gas and oil and the cord was stuck again. I could not get the power washer to start. Here I am, with the same problem that I dropped the power washer off in the first place at double the cost of the initial quote and now it is not working again. I felt and still feel totally taken advantage of and I would never use Midway Services again.
Description of Work: Cleaned out the oil and gas and released the stuck cord on a power washer.

Description of Work: Serviced a lawnmower which wouldn't run. We had taken it to another place that said it didn't need work. Midway knew right away what was wrong and fixed it while we waited. Friendly staff explained what they were doing and showed us everything they did.

 + -1 moreMidway Services took the trimmer in and let me know that it would be about 1 week for turn around. But in less time than that the trimmer was ready. Owner gave advice on maintenance during season and prior to storage. Things I already do but still good advice and reminders. Trimmer runs fine and much better than after previous servicings.
Description of Work: Needed service on a weed eater WT3100 walk behind trimmer.
