John was great, he provided quality work in a timely and professional manner at a reasonable price. We had a long list of assorted odd jobs that spanned the entire range from carpentry to electrical work to plumbing. He handled each job quickly, efficiently and he cleaned up after himself too. We enjoyed having him in our home and will definitely have him back!

I was very impressed with this company from start to finish. We had kitchen cabinets fall off the wall in the middle of the night.The property is 10 years old and was built by Ryan Homes in Delaware.There was nothing stored on top of the cabinets, and a very light load inside them.Some of the cabinets were dangling.John came out the same day we called and took down the dangling cabinets. We asked him to check the other cabinets that were still hanging and he reinforced them.John showed us that the cabinets that fell had been originally installed improperly and offered to speak to whomever on our behalf, as he stated the builder should be liable for not installing them properly, no matter how long it had been. Some of the cabinets that fell could be reinstalled, and one was broken, and had to be replaced.I did contact Ryan homes and they said there was nothing they could do.Americas Choice Home Improvement offerd to pick up a replacement cabinet for us and try to match the stain, or suggested that they or we, contact the original cabinet maker and order a replacement, which is what we ended up doing.John came back out and installed the replacement cabinet and hung the others that fell. Elissa is remarkable, easy to talk to , and was always available. Very trustworthy company.

He didn't charge me to go out and do what he did. They are a wonderful company and I would definitely recommend them. They were remarkable. They went out the same day that I called them. They were very helpful.

A plus for quality , timeliness ,courtesy and professionalism. Entire process from first phone call to end of job went like clockwork. Will definitely use again sice I have more roofing issues which have to wait for spring

The overall transaction was fantastic. We have a custom fireplace that required a custom made cap. They were able to show us different types we could order, and we went with the best quality that was made for us and installed within a week. We could not be happier with our service.

They were very through, checking the chimney cap down to the ground, inside and out. Checked the walls and ceiling in the attic and on all floors. They could not find any chimney leaks or places where it could leak, and did not try to sell my mother something she did not need. Very honest. He did however go around and close and lock my mother's windows. How kind. Then they refused to take any money even though they had driven down from Lewes.

I cannot recommend them highly enough: the right solution at the right price and delightful to work with!

A pleasure to work with. The job was delayed a day because of rain. The following day John arrived early and worked until after sunset to complete the job before the rain returned the following day. The job was perfect. John also took the time to explain what he was doing and answer any question I had. They also took the time to make a follow-up call the next day to make sure I was satisfied with the work. The charge for the job was significantly less than competing bids. I would recommend America's Choice to anyone and intend to use them again in the future.

On Time.Not cheap but Efficient..would use again .

I absolutely LOVE my new kitchen and bathroom; the outdoor steps and new railing are works of art and I can now use the basement steps without fear of them breaking. Thanks to John and Elisaa too for their hard work, advice and friendship!

America's Choice was prompt, reasonably priced, and did great work. They went above and beyond -- even ordering a replacement remote for the fan I bought which came with a broken remote. They can do just about anything, and if they can't, they have contacts to refer you too. I will definitely call them again.

He charged be $60 but he normally charges $125 for the first hour. That was the second time that he did work for me. The great thing about him is that he is very responsive. He gets back to me right away. When I called him the first time, he came out the same day. I would absolutely use him in the future. They're just lovely people.

John did an excellent job. Price was excellent and he pays attention to detail but works fast. It is difficult to find good contractors in Sussex county but John is top notch. We will not use anyone except John in the future.

Everything went as planned and on time.

If there was ever an issue or question, the contractor or his wife would always take the time to speak with me either in person or via telephone. I Highly Recommend This Company.

I?ve worked for a custom home builder in the Rehoboth area previously and am familiar with other contractors in the area but wasn?t sure who to use when we started renovations on our cottage in Dewey Beach. We started with just wanting the floors replaced, then decided to get new cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom and paint the entire interior. John came up with an amazing solution when we couldn?t put a pocket door in the bathroom and put one on the exterior of the door on a sliding rod that?s molded that looks fabulous! He put a new tile floor in the bathroom and engineered hardwood in the rest of the home. He also replaced all of the interior and exterior lighting. John and Elissa totally went above and beyond when their usual cabinet person couldn?t come up with a solution to our small bathroom space and kitchen space and spent hours finding someone to come up with custom cabinetry in the kitchen and bathroom that looks amazing. The countertop guys they recommended got us the most beautiful marble for the bathroom and granite for the kitchen that looks so fantastic! There were items on the punch list that needed fixing and they were right on top if everything. I?ve had work done on my full time house in Wilmington that was a total nightmare and had to stay on top of the contractors the entire time. John and Elissa totally got the job done without me ever having to even ask for status updates. It?s scary having work done on your place when you don?t live there full time and don?t know the progress of what?s going on but they kept us informed and just did a fantastic job. They are totally responsive and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done to their client?s satisfaction. I can?t recommend them enough and will continue to use them in the future. Thank you John and Elissa for the easiest home renovation we have ever experienced. You truly have made it our dream cottage at the beach!!!!

Called for an appointment; set it up. Then it was changed to a different time, but that was okay. John came out and was here about two hours. We got an estimate from them that was not detailed. It stated the work to be performed but didn't price out each item. Overall, we thought it was too high for what we wanted done. This was not for a masonry fireplace but a ""prefab" one. We did not call them and they never called to see why we didn't accept the bid. Pictures were sent of the fireplaces but they were not of any work their company performed; they were just stock pictures of what was available. It would have been nice to see something that they did or their subs did.

John was perfect - on time - pleasant, gave detailed description of work to be done - neat - professional - would recommend him to anyone.

John is very professional and his wife calls to check on how well the work was done. They offer a nice personal touch and seem to care about quality, which is unusual these days.

I had thought that the back porch wall could just be re-nailed and but John could see that it was not installed properly originally so he and took the pieces down, had to trim one with a saw and replaced them properly. The front porch ceiling had fallen down and been replaced three times and was always a little loose and John was again unhappy with the way it was originally fastened so he placed a few more anchors and screws in places where they can't be seen and now I am sure it won't fall down again. And he installed a security spotlight which works perfectly. He even got out his shop vac to get rid of an old wasp nest behind the trim. I was very pleased with the quality of his work and his desire to do it right the first time so you have no more problems with that issue. I am fairly new to the area and am a female living alone. You know how difficult it can be to find someone that you can trust to do a good job for a fair price. John works on your house like he would work on his own, doing it right the first time. He's very personable and easy to work with. I felt the price was very fair for all that I had done. I feel very confidant in recommending him to friends and neighbors and I am talking to him about future projects. Highly recommended.
