+ -1 moreThey are excellent, but I don’t think they are taking in new customers. They are great. They have only been to our house once but my neighbors use them too. It’s a family business; so anyone who comes into your house is representing their father. They are very conscientious and if they can’t come, they’ll tell you that they can’t come. They don’t promise that they are going to be there and then they don’t come. When they do come, they’ll tell you exactly what’s wrong and it can be something very small. They don’t take advantage. I think, as a woman alone, I am very conscious about contractors because they all take advantage of me. This is why I mentioned this aspect to others, because it is important that they are honest with me. They came within a reasonable amount of time, but they were very busy. They didn’t promise me that they were going to be there right away; they said that they’ll get to me when they can, which was shorter than I thought. When the technician came, he was very thorough and he could have taken me for an arm and a leg for one of the problems, but he didn’t.
Description of Work: I used Elvin Schrock & Sons, Inc. for plumbing about 6 weeks ago. I had a couple of minor problems at one time.

Description of Work: I contacted the company to do an estimate, they called about 2 weeks later, said they were very busy, but they would have one of their guys stop by and give me an estimate. After another month, no one had shown, they called again, apologized, but said they were too busy and for me to contact someone else if I could.

+ -1 moreThey were wonderful. They were by FAR the cheapest of the three estimates we received. In fact, price was half of our highest estimate. My only complaint, which is minor, is that it took a while to get them to come back for the second phase of their project. They were very busy.
Description of Work: Mr Schrock and his crew completed all plumbing in a basement bathroom and kitchen. This included a bathtub/sink/toilet in the bathroom and a sink/dishwasher in the kitchen.

The service individual was completely professional, and fixed an additional situation that was the original cause of the leak. I was completely satisfied and pleased with the work done, as I have been for work done by this company previously. They are the plumbers that I rely on for my plumbing work.

Description of Work: Our previous plumber was unavailable to resolve an ongoing problem between our upstairs and downstairs toilets. When the upstairs toilet was flushed, air bubbles came up through the downstaris toilet. The problem had worsened over the last year to the point where the downstairs toilet was more like a bidette than a john. Through a friend at work (who'd specifically chosen Schrock & Sons over a competitor because of quality and price,) I called them. Within 4 business days, they called me back to arrange a day and time that fit my schedule. Their rate is $85 for the 1st hour and $40 for each subsequent hour. What did I get for my $254.35? Joel Schrock unseated both toilets, crawled our attic space to locate the toilet vent to the roof, reseated both toilets, troubleshot the system to a lack of venting, offered to run a tap off the downstairs bathroom sink vent through our foundation to the outside, performed same, and yes -- he cleaned up after himself. Four hours after he showed up the problem was solved and I was happy to have found a new plumber. Not only did this guy explain everything he was doing, he refused to wear his shoes in our house. It's one thing to fix someone's problem for pay; it's unique to find someone who cares this much about professionalism.
