Washington streetIndianapolis, IN 46209-1265Proprietor Marianne “Missy” Phillips of Just Vinyl and her assistant Kirk cleaned the vinyl panel windows in our sunroom in Lewes, De. I can’t recommend them highly enough – and here’s why. When we bought our Lewes beach house 2 yrs ago, it had a lovely sunroom with vinyl windows. The windows look black from the outside (to keep sunrays out) but are clear from the inside. Since this was our first experience with this type of window, we had no idea how tricky they are to keep clean and if done incorrectly (using ammonia or papertowels), you would actually damage the windows. In talking to others, we also learned that it would probably take “novices” (such as ourselves) at least a day to clean an average size room and just hope that you were doing it correctly. After much investigation, we learned about Just Vinyl – not only did they clean this type of window, but they came highly recommended. In talking to Missy on the phone, she was very friendly and indicated that since that isn’t our permanent home, and thus not there all the time, they would accommodate themselves to our schedule – weekends would not be a problem – even on a Sunday, if necessary. Talk about being completely customer-focused. They came out beforehand and phoned me their estimate. Feeling it was a fair figure, we made a date for a Saturday and she gave us an approximate arrival time. On the day of servicing, she called and said they could come 15 min. earlier – would that be a problem – absolutely not. Both Missy and Kirk described everything they would do before they started. They also gave us “novices” a lesson on these types of windows, which was much appreciated. Their cleaning includes: removing all vinyl panel windows from their frames, take outside for washing with the manufacturers recommended product, followed by a PGT preservative application. All frame systems are then cleaned, followed by a silicone spray application for ease of operation. They also check all operational hardware and if necessary, replace anything that needs replacement. Because this is our beach house, we look forward to spending our limited weekends at the beach vs cleaning windows. Missy told us we did not have to stay while they cleaned – just lock entry into the rest of the house and when they were done, they’d leave by the outside door, locking it behind them. She also said if we weren’t satisfied with their work, they would return our money. Since we weren’t there, I don’t know how long it took them (Missy had estimated 3-3½ hrs) but when we walked into our sunroom, we were literally amazed at how great the windows looked. Having nothing to compare those types of windows with, we had no idea how dirty they were – it was almost like being in a brand new room. And, not only was everything crystal clear, but they had also neatly put back all the furniture they had had to move to the center of the room while cleaning. We thought their pricing was very fair although we didn’t really realize how much they would be doing until they came and gave us their “tutorial”. Upon completion, we came to the only conclusion we could – they gave us their time and expertise, we gave them our money and we feel we got a real bargain. And, last but not least, Just Vinyl also gives a 10% discount for veterans, police and fire fighters – how American is that!
