Dun-rite Appliance Repair

I called my home warranty service for a leaking dishwasher repair and they dispatched the repair to Dun-Rite. I was told that I would receive a call from them the next day. I did not receive a call, so I called Jimaine the next day and he said that his scheduler makes appointments in the evening. I proceeded to tell him the issue that the door is leaking from the bottom and that I already did the gasket repair and that did not fix it. He seemed to be a confused about what else it could be if not he gasket. Then he told me his scheduler would call me that night. Again, I did not receive a call. I called him the next morning and he stated that my warranty company did not attach my phone number to the service order and to text him my number. So I texted it to him after I gave it to him the day before. He then called me back and told me to call the warranty company and have them add it to the service contract. I called the warranty company and they stated that they already had my phone number on the contract and that they have had complaints about this vendor before. My warranty company then switched me to a new vendor because of his failing to commit to an appointment. I would not recommend Dun-Rite to anyone. The only 5 star reviews that he has are for not actually doing any work, nothing for any actual work. you have been warned if you decide to use this company.

Jermaine with DUN-RITE has been completely unreliable. He came out through my warranty company to repair my washer & ice maker. He claimed he needed 2 people to fix the washer, but told the warranty company it was missing parts. They sent out Sears Appliance when I complained and one person fixed it in less than 10 minutes. On the ice maker, DUN_RITE made a simple repair but it still wasn’t working. The warranty company sent him out again to replace the ice maker this time. He came out and looked at it again and said the entire refrigerator would need to be replaced and he would let the warranty company know. Instead, he tells the warranty company he doesn’t know what’s wrong and send another contractor out. Now I have to have another appointment because Jermaine is either lying or incompetent. I’ve tried to contact DUN-RITE several times but he won’t return my calls or respond to text messages. BEWARE of this appliance repair company.

They advised me to unplug it and let it thaw out and restart and it has worked fine since. Also, they cut me a deal on the service call.

Great. Jimaine is knowledgeable, personable, prompt, and honest. After diagnosing the problem, he advised that the repair would be too expensive to be worthwhile but also clarified that we could continue to use the appliance, probably for some years. Saved us on a repair bill AND purchase of a new washer. Fee for the house call was reasonable and disclosed in advance. We will call him when we need a repair.

He called right back, set a day and time. Was a no show, no call!
