I was very pleased with the guy during the initial visit. I walked him through my house describing the remodeling work that I wanted done (new dishwater installation, new bathtub, and a number of smaller electrical jobs). He asked great questions and provided suggestions on ways to improve the project, some of which I agreed to. Then I never heard from him again. No quote, no call, nothing. I called his office three times over the next 6 weeks leaving messages with his secretary (who gave me no indication there was some extraordinary issue at play) and got zero response, not even a courtesy explaination that he would simply not be able to do the job. Apparently this is a reoccuring thing with this company.

I called Associates Contracting because I needed a leak fixed on a tankless water heater. They said that they do work on tankless heaters and arranged to have someone come out to my house to give an estimate four days later. The contractor did come to assess the work, although he was noticeably late. I then waited for them to call with the estimate. After a week, I called them and was told that someone would call me back with the estimate. A week later, I called again and was again told that someone would call me back. A week later I called again and when I explained the history, she said she'd get the information for me. When I called her an hour later, she had the estimate but no other information (like whether it was worth it to fix the leak vs. get a new water heater). Finally, I was able to talk to a plumber, although apparently not the contractor who went to my house. He explained the situation, and I agreed to the work. In fact, I also agreed to pay for a cleaning, so I agreed to work costing $565 (including paying for the estimate visit, which had now happened almost a month ago). He said he would text me after he ordered the part so that we could schedule the work. That was five weeks ago. Nothing. Needless to say, I found someone else to do the work, who did it for more than $100 LESS than the estimate I was (finally) given by Associates.

Water heater failed on a Thursday, They came out the same day and did the estimate. Accepted estimate on Friday and they did the work on Saturday. Pleased with the quick response. Installation went well and cleanup inside was good, outside a little messy. Hole through wall for new gas line was rough and they had to patch a large hole. Had a small water leak later on Saturday and they came back on Sunday to fix. No problems since. Would use again.

They did a good job. It turned out very well. The price was fair, I didn't check around with anybody else.
