The job was well done. The Stanley employees came on time and got right to work. They were done within 45 mins. Our carpets looked beautiful. We have used this company a number of times and are consistently amazed at how great the results are.

They paid attention to detail and did a good job.

Stanley was very easy to contact and scheduled cleaning at a convenient time for my family. The two employees that came to clean the carpet were very professional, courteous and explained the process and almost took it as a challenge to get certain high traffic area spots up. The process was relatively quick and they explained what we would have to do after the cleaning. They also gave some pointers on what types of cleaners to use and not use for smaller stains. I was very happy.

The two men arrived on time, a little early even, and I showed them my areas to be cleaned. The man told me that my sofa was too large (a sectional) and I told him that on the booking website there is no category for sectional, only "sofa" -- he said, that is the second time someone has told me that today. To note: this is a known problem with the website, that SS has since agreed with me and they say it is being fixed. So, he says, we'll to clean that it will be north of $150+ (I can't recall the exact quote, original price was $84) and I said, no -- that is too much, I'll pass. He said, well let me see what I can think of to make you want to do it -- he says, how about you also get the carpets and sofa Protected and we'll do the whole sofa -- you'll still save money. So I agreed. Then I asked him about the $50 surcharge for the portable unit (which MAY be required if there is no access to water or above the second floor) he said to me, we have to charge you this no matter what b/c it is on the third floor -- despite the fact that the website only says the charge will be assessed onsite if it is used or not -- I quietly agreed (not going to argue with the guy in house) but made note that it was not used -- I had tubes running up and down my stairs. I called the 800 number to discuss and the national rep agreed and said they would take the $50 off of the bill. Then I get two more calls from the local office saying that they can only gift me a gift cert -- and that the $50 was assessed b/c of the "discount" they gave me to clean my sofa. He said well, I have to put the portable on my truck, which takes it out of service for the day, so I have to charge you for it -- when all along the website says if it is not used it will be refunded. So these guys are pushing the gift cert option and I said, well to be honest, this has been too much of a hassle, and quite honestly shady, so I am not going to use your service again -- to which the owner said, well why are we even talking here if you aren't going to come back to us -- at which point I said I was about to log on to Angie's list and write a report. He then agreed to refund me my $50 and I gave him the advice that if there is a error in the online quoting system, when adjustments on site have to be made, don't try to be cute and tack on new services to cover costs -- honestly I would have felt better if I paid full price for the sofa and wasn't scammed into getting deodorizing and a $50 surcharge for something they didn't use. In the end, the price difference was only actually $20. The worst part is that we still have two stains on the carpet -- we just moved in and have no idea what the origin of the stain is! Oh well...we'll hide them with the ottoman! I would not use SS again.

Several significant stains were made by contractors while putting in a new HVAC system. Since I did not know what caused the stains (i.e. dirt/fluid/lubricant). I was uncertain if they would come up. I expressed this concern to the technicians and they did a quick patch test to see if they could reasonably clean the rugs. Once it looked as if the stains would come up they made short work of it and did a fantastic job. The cost of the cleaning was a bit expensive but it absolutely was cheaper then buying a new rug. :)

I would say that they usually get all the stains out. They have good customer service and their prices are good. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

For the most part everything went great. The gentlemen that came were very polite and professional. Although I almost canceled the appointment based on my conversation with the scheduler. I was trying to fit something in early in the morning but had to work around the pick-up and drop-off schedule of my daughter's pre-school. The woman I spoke to was very unsympathetic almost to the point of being rude. I almost called back to cancel and am glad I didn't because the experience I had after was great.

Reserving a time was easy - called on a Friday, they came out Monday. Some hassles on Monday - they were originally scheduled to come between noon and 4, they called around 9, said they'd had a cancellation and asked if they could come earlier, between 10:30 and noon. They finally called again around 12:30 and said they'd had another cancellation and would be arriving between 2:30 and 3:30 (tell me how that works!). When they arrived, they were very efficient and thorough, and our carpets are beautifully clean (far, far better job than Sears did a couple of years ago). Carpets do take a while to dry with steam cleaning, just a fact of life, and I wouldn't recommend doing steam cleaning in the middle of a humid summer spell, unless you have central air to dry the carpets. In the winter, no problem, we just walked around the house in our slippers for the evening and next morning.

I was able to schedule, then reschedule the service very quickly. The workers arrived at the end of the 3 hour time window and the work took another 2 hours. The job was somewhat challenging since they use their truck which was parked in the alley behind my building and they had to go up the fire escape. I was told to make sure there would be parking available for truck, but it was not made clear that the parking needed to be as close as possible to the building so they could connect their equipment from the truck up the stairs and into the house. The workers were polite, professional and cleaned up after themselves. I decided to add on some rugs when they arrived and they quickly gave me a quote. Payment by credit card was convenient.

They were great! They even came back out to re-clean an area that had gotten dirty due to another company that had come out to do work for us. I did pay them to re-clean this area.

They normally bring a portable machine because I am on the seventh floor, but it doesn t get the carpets as clean as I would like. Therefore, they actually brought a hose all the way up through the loading dock to my house. They stuck to the original quote and did an amazing job.

Well, I will say that Stanley Steemer will have all kinds of bargains for you when you get to your house. Most of the time their suggestions make sense though and they only cost a few bucks more, so I usually go for them. I've been totally satisfied with them and have all good stuff to say about them. I think they're great actually.

I think they did a good job of getting all of the stains up in the high traffic areas. They wore coverings over their shoes and took the time to make sure they did the job right. The only thing I thought could have been better is the time it took for the carpet to dry.

I had some old stains and they had already promised me that not all of them would come out. But they did a very good job because they look much better now. They did a good job, their price was reasonable and they arrived on time.

They have a special stain treatment that they provide. I have used them in the past for carpet cleaning. They show up on time and do a good job. Their prices are reasonable for the quality of work that they do.

My experience couldn't have been better. We picked up a new couch this morning and wanted to get the fabric protected. I called them this morning around 10:00. The woman who answered was very helpful in answering my questions and immediately checked with their dispatcher. They said they could have someone at my house between 1:00 and 5:00 TODAY. What service! The service team arrived around 3:15. They were knowledgeable and thorough. They explained to me the products to use and what to do after they leave. They also explained how to treat stains in the future (1/2 vinegar & 1/2 water to work with the fabric protector, not against it.) I just couldn't believe the same day service. The service team explained that is a key part of their business since you never know when spills and stains will occur -- which fits our lives perfectly. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I had requested that they come as early as possible. The crew (Dave and Darnell) called first, arrived a little ahead of the scheduled time (as I'd requested). They were very polite. Because of the ground-in carpet stains and the dirt and doghair in the car, the job was worse than average. They were very thorough and did an excellent job.

The guys were on time, speedy, and did a great job. The carpets turned out amazing.
