Elegance For The Bath

Don't waste your time.

I'm being compltely honest here. Elegance for the Bath has some very high quality products, tile, vanities, etc. and the ability to custom make solid surface countertops with a quick turnaround. That's where my praise ends. Vincent, the owner and "President" didn't listen to my wife and I. He was talking over us when we tried to tell him what styles and designs we liked. After we finally got across to him what he wanted, he threw out a $17,500 "ballpark" estimate before he ever came out to see our house. When he actually did come to the house, a few days later, he was about 15 minutes early but made it seem as though he was waiting forever for me to answer the door. If I hadn't seen him walking down my side alley, I'd never have known he was there, and HE picked the original schedule of NOON that day. After looking at the job, his quote came in at exactly $17,500 which was about $8000 higher than the other 2 estimates we had gotten, even though we were looking at his high-end items, I wante a baseline quote with builder quality items so that I could compare apples with apples, but again he disn't really listen. We decided that we weren't going to go with him doing the actual work but liked the fact he could provide most everything we needed for our guys to do the work, tub, vanity, countertop, toilet, hardware and custom-made sink. We wanted to get the tile at a local tile store because we liked their selections the best but Vincent kep trying to entice us to order tile from him too, and for ease of delivery we were considering it. We went in to his store a few days later to order the items and there was a very incompetent lady working who basically couldn't answer any questions for us, but we ordered the tub anyway since it was a long lead time. Vincent had assured us that he could get the tub for the lowest price and we placed the order, but since the lady doidn't know any other prices, etc. it was kind of a wasted trip. That evening I was looking online for bathrroom hardware and found the tub cheaper and in-stock. So I ordered it online and first thing next morning called Vincent and left a message that we needed to cancel the tub order placed with him the previous day vut that we still wanted to rder everything else from him. HE CALLED ME BACK AND SAID HE DIDN"T WANT MY BUSINESS AND THAT NOBODY COULD GET THE TUB FASTER OR CHEAPER.He was upset I didn't choose him for the job and then canceled the tub. I've never had that happen before, someone refusing to take my money for a project. I'm mortified to this day and do not recommend Elegance for the Bath to anyone. They are rude and unprofessional and do not listen to their customers.

Above ordered with $500 deposit on 1/10/10. To be delivered within 2 weeks. We were to provide installer. Installer scheduled three weeks later. Vanity delivered a week after promised date- Our installer installed vanity. No medicine cabinet delivered. We called numerous times concerning light fixture and medicine cabinet-no response. We had to go to store and were treated in a rude manner. Apparently medicine cabinet was broken by store personnel and would need to be reordered- no apology given. Should arrive within two weeks. Many messages left with Elegance with no response. Nine weeks later, after going into store the cabinet arrived. Store's installer finished on 3/31. We were charged $250 for installation when our original installer would have charged us $100. Elegance owner was rude and non-communicative. Never would we recommend nor deal with these folks again.
