Cabinets To Go

Description of Work: Cabinets. We ordered cabinets via a $3100 deposit. We were shorted on funding by a lender for our entire project and therefore had to cancel the order. We received the refund for the deposit quickly without any problems. Once funding is available will will go back.

Description of Work: Designed layout and ordered cabinets

Description of Work: Well-made "RTA" (ready to assemble) cabinets, all wood with solid thick plywood backs, adjustable shelves, soft-close drawers. Saw their product on a kitchen remodeling show ("I Hate My Kitchen") and had to slowly view parts of the show frame-by-frame to find their name--I guess they didn't pay for "promotional consideration" like some remodeling product manufacturers do. Their Denver showroom has well-assembled sample kitchens (unlike what you see at the big-box home improvement stores, where the construction of the displays are often shockingly sloppy). A limited number of options (maybe 8 or so models & finishes of cabinets). I love the look of my Buckingham Rope cabinets, which are proving to be really easy to put together. The doors come attached to the face frames, so you basically line up some innovative cam connectors and turn a screw one revolution to tighten the joints to create the cabinet box and attach the face frames.One of my cabinets has a rather splotchy finish, but store manager Josh gave me a number for their national customer service and assures me that the panel will either be replaced or I'll get some finish to rub on (to even out the lighter spots). That's yet to be seen (I'm waiting to open all of the other boxes, in case any other problems arise), but overall I am so far happy with my purchase. The cost is well over $1500 less than any other options I've researched. One warning: make sure they use a shipper who will deliver the boxes to your home and not just park a palatte of boxes in your driveway or parking lot--they claim that some of their shippers offer such "white glove" service for an additional charge, but the company that delivered my shipment left me having to hire local laborers to haul the boxes to my second floor condo unit and that was unexpected and annoying.
