That Granite Place

That Granite Place was hired to install Quartz countertops in a home I owned by the general contractor, Garrison Homes. The countertops were installed incorrectly (on an angle) as well as cut incorrectly. Despite countless emails and phone calls, they refused to do the repair since they were paid in full. The operations manager, Mark Widen, said his hands are tied and that they wont honor the repair or warranty. I wouldn't EVER deal with this company again nor would I recommend them to my worst enemy!!!

arrived on time, answered all my questions, provided ideas and was very professional in what he did.

It went very well, the staff in the office were friendly and helpful (sorry, service was over a year ago and I'm poor at remembering names). They were especially patient with my wife and me, showing and reshowing slabs of granite as we tried to select from the many colors and types available over several visits. Installers were professional and helpful when removing the old tops and installing the new granite. We even experienced one minor hiccup in the original template cutting that they corrected perfectly on site. The B rating for cost is only because we didn't shop around much, we had heard good things about "That Granite Place" and wanted to use them so I can't state how they matched up to others.

A technician came and made a template of all surfaces. Later a crew of technicians installed the new counter tops and put in the cook top and sinks ready for hook up. This crew worked very well with our carpenter, plumber etc. Did a very good job at a nice price.

Sales person was great. Prices were not so great. Compared top other granite places they where double the price. Ancient art stone and best granite were half the price. Went with best granite only because they could install within 2 weeks. Ancient art stone was 5 weeks before they can scribe.

Went very well. Everyone showed up on time except for one service tech.

The showroom offers many samples of different stone and slabs of granite are on display outside. We roamed the yard looking at granite without feeling pressured but knowing that someone was nearby if we had questions. We made our selection on a Saturday, and the estimate was e-mailed to us on Monday. We signed the agreement on Feb. 10 and the countertops were installed by Feb 28. I cannot praise the installers, Josh and Chris enough. These two young men obviously new what they were doing and took the glitches that came their way in stride. The glitches were not caused by them but in the existing kitchen. They were professional at all times but yet friendly enough that it was a pleasure having them work in our home. They were true partners and it showed in their teamwork, as they consulted with each other and new exactly what each had to do. I was also grateful that they treated my home and possessions like their own. For these reasons and many more, I have given That Granite Place an overall rating of, A, and would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

The guys were good and they were fine but the finished product wasn't that great. I probably would use them again.
