They replaced our front deck, replaced closet doors and interior polls/shelving, hung bathroom vanities and other shelving, installed ceiling fans (w electrical), and a few other home improvements. Did a great job with attention to detail to ensure the work was done exactly as we requested. Angel was in frequent communication on the work. Work done quickly but not sloppy - done well. Employees were professional and took care not to disturb our house unnecessarily. Angel even pointed out some projects could be easily completed by us (such as a tub hardware replacement) and provided advice on how to do it. He provided an honest assessment of a few other items - replacement was the better option (don't waste money on temporary repairs), but didn't push to do that work himself.

I emailed Wall To Wall letting know I needed Siding on the back and both sides of the house, reframed windows and a new back door. There response was, do you have working drawings for the frame work? or is it a new window framing. Is this work for the rear addition? Looks like you live in a town house that has brick at the front, will you please send us pictures of the areas where the siding is going to be placed. We should be able to prepare an estimate based on that information. My response was, I'm not able to send you pictures, I live in a row house yes the work is for the rear of the house which is the back porch, yes I need new framed windows and I need siding on the back of the house and on both sides of the house in the back. There response was, It would be helpful if you can send us pictures so we know what we be dealing with. I need to have a general idea of what we would be dealing with when we come over for an estimate appointment, I can only have a general idea with some pictures. I understand if you can't provide some pictures for information purposes, unfortunately I cant decide of when to come over for an estimate appointment if I can't prepare myself for it. I did not understand why he needed pictures, I read everything about them on line, I read nothing about sending them pictures of the work I needed done. I could not send them pictures. I didn't email them back because I didn't understand what was going on with them and the pictures when they could have come to the house to me give an estimate.

Response from Wall to Wall Construction, Inc
Dear [member name removed], Thank you for your feedback. In our exchange of emails, one that was not included in your comments, we requested the photos as previously stated to put us in a better position to provide you with the best customer service. Under the EPA rules for RRP, any work which involves the replacement of windows and any work which disturbs 20 sq ft of exterior walls in pre-1978 construction requires compliance with the RRP regulations, which can be costly. The photos would help us prepare for our visit and the establishment of a fair estimate amount in an expeditious manner for you. We are still more than happy to help you with an estimate. Please contact us directly, if you would still like to work with us. Sincerely, Julio Angel Tuesta Noel

Knowing Angel Tuesta and Wall to Wall Construction, Inc. were undoubtedly involved in major projects, I was hesitant about inquiring about replacing my back steps, a relatively small job. However, I sent Angel an email, and true to form, (I have used Wall to Wall Construction before), he answered immediately. He came out, explained what would take place, gave me an estimate, and we scheduled the job within two weeks. The day of the project, Angel and his workman, Ramiero, arrived promptly. Major pieces of lumber were carted carefully through side and back gardens that were in full summer bloom. Tear out was done with equal care. I am always impressed how Angel and his crew can manage construction work with such care -- this time it was on a narrow path through the back lined with tall Casa Blanca lilies -- and not a single lily suffered. Angel listened carefully to my criticisms of the old steps, and redesigned a more comfortable exit level going out the door by slightly raising the little deck. It was July-hot and humid, but the work was unhurried and done with care and precision. After Angel left, Ramiero stayed and cleaned everything up, sanding any rough spots on the railing and even sweeping the walk. A month later, I called Angel to ask if he could reinstall a system of grab bars on top of the hand railing of the back steps. While not aesthetic, I felt they provided a measure of safety as I age. Two hours after I sent the email, Angel was at the door, and 30 minutes later, the bars had been installed. It is this kind of remarkable and outstanding customer service that is, apparently, a hallmark of this company. Recommend without reservation.

Wall to Wall Construction did a fantastic job on our renovation. Their President, Angel, was incredibly responsive, punctual, and flexible -- we chose this company because of the glowing reviews on this site, and the reviews were exactly right. Aside from their extraordinary customer service, they also did great work. Their tile work looks great; their painting was careful; everything they built or installed works well.
Description of Work: Wall to Wall renovated our basement bathroom, painted our kitchen and dining room, and patched some holes in our basement drywall. In the bathroom, they built a new walk-in shower surround and pan out of tile; tiled the floor; replaced the toilet, pedestal sink, ceiling fan (including new vent hose and exterior vent), lights, toilet paper holder, towel rack, and mirror; fixed a broken door; replaced old drywall; and painted. In the kitchen and dining room, they prepped and repaired walls, then painted walls, trim, and closet doors.

We had damage from Superstorm Sandy. Our upstairs bathroom was damaged when the storm exploited a shoddily-installed skylight. It allowed water to destroy an entire wall and most of the ceiling in the bathroom plus part of the ceiling in our master bedroom. Having every opportunity to jack up prices after the storm like most everyone else was doing, Wall to Wall instead gave us a great price for doing the work and their professionalism was awesome (the minute they walked in the door they removed their shoes without prompting...not a big thing, but significant to me). They fixed the ceiling and walls, and later when I was having trouble finding a roofer to fix the skylight for a reasonable price, Angel came and showed me that it wasn't as big a fix as all the roofing companies were claiming. They had an easy opportunity to ask us to pay much more than we did (we were ready to use them for the skylight regardless of price at that point. They were that good). Instead, Wall to Wall fixed the skylight for hundreds (if not a thousand or so) dollars less than the roofers were asking. It's been many months (and many hard rains) and its still doing great. I would (and have) recommend Wall to Wall to anyone who needs work done. We are using them again to do some significant work in our master. I emailed Angel to ask for an estimate and he got back to me within a day, and scheduled a visit for a couple of days later to look at what we wanted to do. In his email he said he would come between 7 and 8:30, and he showed up at 7:05. Finally, I really liked how realistic/ non-BS they were. They were very honest with the pricing and timetable aspects of the job. When we asked for something to be done, they told us the price and time it would take, and they were always dead on. No messing around with giving one price and then having a list of added costs later. Also, when they said something would be done at a certain time, it was done at that time.

We needed a substantial amount of work done on our 1850 house before moving in, and we were very, very glad we chose Wall to Wall. Their estimate wasn't the cheapest we received, but Angel is extremely responsive, his men are all professional and highly competent, and the work is excellent. They finished the large project a full week ahead of schedule -- which at times required people to work late or on the weekends. When we've had follow-up questions/concerns about our HVAC or anything else, Angel addresses them promptly and fully. We plan to hire Wall to Wall/Angel for all our major projects in the future.

The work performed was absolutely what was asked for, and looked a whole lot better than imagined. Once they completed the first day of work, I was only wishing that my funds would have allowed a complete rebuild as opposed to repair. All the work was done so even and meticulously, and I am happy with the money spent. I will be using them again, as well as referring them to family members. Excellent job!

I had gotten an estimate from Angel, the owner of Wall-to-Wall Construction previously. I didn't use him at the time since I needed the work done sooner than he had availability. But, he was professional, thorough, honest and upfront so when I had these new projects, I called him for an estimate and proceeded to have him help me with this new work. This time Angel was able to start the next week, which was great since his initial inspection of the beams involved taking down our ceiling in our dinning room. The price/quality of work was fantastic. But, more important, is the way that Angel conducts his business. He is extraordinaryily responsive--he answers every questions, addresses concerns, and he gets back to you when he says he will. Angel handled the beam work himself and came in at the end to make sure all the painting and drywall work was perfect. We are pleased with the work and would highly recommend using Wall-to-Wall Construction.
Description of Work: Inspected first floor beams in ceiling and floor in our dinning room for structural problems. Removed ceiling, reenforced (sistered with Micro-Lam LVL) two beams, removed and repaired plumbing and electrical lines through the beams. Repaired (drywall, sanding, and paiting) the entire ceiling in the dinning room. Installed a new crawlspace door. Finally, repaired the drywall and repainted our entire upstairs ceiling (we had had insulation put in which required holes every 16 inches).

We had some water damage in our basement and Wall to Wall came in to repair the damage done by the mitigation company. As part of the repair we decided to replace the basement carpet with tile. This was not an easy job because of the slope of the floor. They did a great job with the tile and the rest of the job was also done very well.

We had a very positive experience with this company!! We were told the work would take about 5-6 days. They kept to their word in the length of the job and we were able to move my mother in law back in to her home at the time we planned. I felt this company did a great job professionally, but were very accommodating in our personal situation. Kudos to Angel and his company for keeping the human element in their business!!
Description of Work: My 90 year old mother-in-law is recently widowed and required plastering work and interior painting of her living room, dining room and first floor bedroom. She lives in a single family home in Washington, D.C. We live in southeastern Pennsylvania. I was able to contact the company and speak personally with the manager who stopped by to do an estimate and communicated with me over the phone and via email to discuss the nature of the work, time involved and payment situation. We had gotten several other estimates and theirs was very fair and reasonable and fit my mother-in-law's budget. Because of her age, health and the nature of the work to be done(re-plastering and sanding of the walls and painting of the walls, we decided to have my mother in law stay with us. Her next door neighbors were the liaison between us and the contractor when she stayed with us.

I started out just wanting to change the look of my floors and soundproof at the same time. I had several strong proposals from flooring specialists but after much research on my own about sound proofing, I decided I would feel more confident about the project going with a general contractor. Angel was recommended by a close friend and proved to be just who I needed. He is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, reassuring, and generally all-round more than competent. He was incredibly patient with my lack of certainty about technique, materials, and process. Angel is incredibly responsive to any and all questions. Communication cannot be underestimated generally but especially during a process for which one has no expertise, as was my case. I could go on and on, but the bottom line this was more complex than an average flooring project. The floors look great and the soundproofing effective. Nothing but positives for Wall to Wall.
Description of Work: I had about 1000 sq. ft of brazilian cherry floors removed, part of a subfloor removed (and replaced), soundproofing insulation put in, soundproofing underlayment installed, new white oak planks put down and finished in place.

Wall to Wall Construction is an exemplary construction company. This is the second time we have worked with them in the past year for a major home remodeling project and it could not have gone any better. We had Angel, the president of the company, come out to give an estimate and once we decided we had saved enough money for the deck we immediately called him to start the work. With days of calling Wall to Wall, his crew was on the scene. Wall to Wall construction did an amazing job. Our backyard was riddled with old tree trunks that the previous owner had left behind and our retaining wall was covered in ivy and had many areas that were not structurally sound. Once Angel's team reviewed the situation they pulled out the tree trunks that were in the way of the deck footers and set about making the holes for the footers. In addition, his crew pulled off all the ivy that was running over our retaining wall and fixed the edges of the retaining wall to be more structurally sound. These additional items were not even included in our original cost estimate. This team really does go above and beyond the call of duty. After the deck footers were poured, Angel's team literally had the deck's frame up in a single day. Throughout the process Angel would keep us up to date and let us know how things were progressing with the inspections. Once the deck was complete, Angel's crew started working on converting the window into a door to the deck. First they removed the outside stucco and created a door frame, then they worked on pouring a new concrete sill for the door. Finally. his team removed the old window and replaced it with a new door. This entire process was taking place at the start of the winter season and Angel's team was extremely careful in making sure our home was not exposed to the elements for even a minute longer than was needed. Once the door was installed his team installed trim, caulked the door and restucco-ed the outside of the home to make everything look perfect. They even repainted the kitchen walls around the new trim. In less than two weeks we went from having a kitchen with no exterior access to having a brand new deck and a new door to our backyard. My husband and I have been consistently impressed with Wall to Wall Construction - they are reliable, honest and incredibly hard working. If you ever have a remodeling job I would recommend Wall to Wall Construction without hesitation.
Description of Work: Took an existing window in our kitchen and replaced the window with a door. Added a deck off the kitchen, poured a new cement sill for the door, poured cement for the deck footers and secured the braces for the deck into the outside of the home.

Went very well, over all. We're quite satisfied and would use them again.
Description of Work: We have an existing roof deck. The way the deck was attached to the roof/house was not satisfactory, per several engineers we had out. Wall to Wall modified it according to an engineer's diagram and did a great job coming up with creative solutions in order to follow the engineer's plan while keeping material/labor costs down. More than anything else, they are punctual, honest and very straight forward.

This was a difficult situation for us as we learned that we needed a new layer of 5/8" drywall over the ceilings of the rental apartment in our home in order to bring the fire rating up to current code. In addition, since we were jacking up floor joists and had to remove the granite counter top in the apartment kitchen, we decided to go ahead and install new floors over the 112-year-old pine planks that were pretty beaten up. And we made a decision to bring the apartment's water heater up from the basement, which required a new utility closet. For good measure, we added an area for coats. In our search for a drywall contractor, we found Wall to Wall on Angie's list. The owner, Angel Tuesta Tuesta, arrived to inspect the site a couple of weeks later, right on time. He told us he would need at least two weeks notice, which also proved exactly right. He sent us a detailed estimate that we found reasonable enough. His contract also was detailed, including several payment dates to coincide with various phases of the job. It turned out Angel is a consummate professional and businessman. His replies to questions are always prompt and detailed. In fact, having received e-mail from him at 10:30 at night, I suspect that Angel works pretty much 24/7. He really insists that everything be done exactly according to agreement. (So make sure you know what your agreement states.) The job unfolded exactly as promised. I framed out the closet to save a bit on the price and Angel was fine with that. The only problem I had was with one worker who did not seem to know what he was doing when it came to hanging drywall in the closet. Angel quickly had it corrected. Otherwise, his workers were extremely professional about fixing various irregularities in the ceiling. The new ceiling looks pristine. Likewise, Angel was extremely helpful and accommodating when it came to laying new floors. We decided to purchase them ourselves from Lumber Liquidators. They were delivered and stacked in the apartment. Angel's people worked around the wood until his floor specialists arrived and executed an absolutely immaculate job of installing the new floors and shoe mouldings. Then his drywall crew returned, covered all the floors with resign paper, and finished sanding and painting the new drywall. We plan to finish painting the walls ourselves before installing the new tenant. Angel says we can call him any time and he will return to collect the resign paper from the floors.
Description of Work: Applied 5/8" drywall to ceilings of rental apartment, installed new wood floors, installed electrical and drywall to new utility closet.

Wall to Wall was very professional, always on time, and super efficient. And the quality of their work is superior and I'm sure it meets the highest standards in the industry. Angel, the owner, was in touch with my about every detail from the beginning to the end and was always available by phone or email for any questions or concerns that I had. The work being done was always explained thoroughly before they began and they always asked if I had any questions. I was made aware of certain issues that came about while the work was being done and Angel and his team always made sure we understood what caused the unforseen issues and gave us the best possibilities to proceed in fixing them. Not only do we now have a custom made laundry closet on the 2nd floor, we have a main water shut off valve that is working properly thanks to Wall to Wall. I cannot put into words how efficient the entire team is in getting the work completed. And the color of the laundry closet is an EXACT match to the red color in the room! Amazing work! And the cost was the most reasonable too! Wall to Wall is one of the most honest and reasonably priced contractors I've ever come across and they will give you the truth about the work you're asking to be done, they won't just say yes to simply receive your business. I will gladly be using them for more work we want done in this house!!!
Description of Work: Wall to Wall resealed our roof (flat roof) and front exterior door jam, inspected the main floor joists (provided a full report with estimate for repairs), snaked an outdoor gutter drain, and relocated our washer and dryer from the kitchen to the 2nd floor and built a custom closet for it in the new location.

The new airconditioning unit was installed -- with the heat pump outdoors -- along with a digital thermostat and new or replacement ductwork as needed. The new unit is certainly more powerful than the previous aged unit. It appears more efficient, and I believe my electrical bill has reduced. The digital thermostat takes a little getting used to as it is more sophisticated and allows a variety of programming. Installation of everything went smoothly considering the large metal pieces of equipment being toted up and down several flights of stairs. Everything was tested and explained. Clean-up (including vacuuming beneath all vents in all the rooms) was good. The new unit fan is strong and soon after installation, we were concerned by a whine that could be detected. The owner of Wall to Wall Construction, Angel Tuesta, came out quickly to explain the power of the new unit. He also went up into the attic, made an adjustment to a return, and the sound problem was fixed. He also listened to our concern that the air flow seemed too strong in one of the bedrooms and recommended adding a second ceiling vent, which took care the problem. I feel this company goes the extra mile to make certain the customer is as satisfied as possible. I am happy with the unit -- both for its airconditioning and heating capabilities. I am even more impressed with Angel Tuesta's follow-up and professionalism. Unrelated to the installation of the RUUD unit, Angel dispatched Carlos back to check on the placement of pipes dispersing carbon monoxide that he noticed during checkup of the heat pump. All was well, but it was the additional concern and followup service that impressed me.
Description of Work: I had a unit for airconditioning and heating installed for the second floor of my older home. The existing unit was elderly, and had been failing for some time. Wall to Wall Construction submitted a bid to replace the Carrier air handler in the attic to cool and heat the upstairs. I chose them out of four other companies because of the thoroughness of explanation and competitiveness of price. Carlos and crew installed a 14.5 RUUD, air handler with 2 1/2 ton indoor coil, and an outdoor heat pump, plus a digital thermostat. The workmen had to go up a ladder into the attic and work through a constricted small square opening. They also worked with great care over my wall to wall cream colored carpet (upstairs), oriental runners (on the stairs), and polished oak floors on the first floor. Everything was covered and protected. Carlos explained everything that would take place, including vents, returns, and ductwork. The units were installed, a new vent installed in one of the bedrooms, and all was done efficiently in a day.

The greenhouse/storage room is attached to my house and is important for storage and for access to the yard. The roof was shoddy and down to ripped black tarpaper lying about in strips. Wall to Wall delivered the roofing materials neatly through a garden of plants, and Rick arrived bright and early. He was something of a character -- energetic despite being a bit older, agile, athletic and totally unmindful of the blistering heat. He worked steadily, barely taking time for a sandwich and a drink of water. It was hot work, from what I could tell, and involved wielding a blow torch for some of the gluing and water proofing. Everything was done professionally, including total clean-up. Angel Tuesta, W-2-W owner, checked in promptly to ensure I was completely satisfied, which I was and continue to be.
Description of Work: In July, a storm damaged and blew off the roof of a sunroom/greenhouse/storage area connected to my house. I contacted Wall to Wall Construction, and Angel Tuesta responded promptly. He submitted a written estimate and within a short time, he dispatched Rick to re-roof the greenhouse. Rick came on time, had all the right materials, tore off the remaining pieces, water proofed, and put on a new roof. He worked steadily despite sizzling August heat. He was good natured, humorous, and efficient. He cleaned up and bagged all the old roofing material, and was done by sunset. My new greenhouse roof is great, and I couldn't be more pleased.

Overall, a very unfortunate, disappointing experience. The price I was quoted by Wall to Wall was literally more than three times the highest estimate I'd received (and I had six different contractors come for quotes). And follow-up was a total dud -- as opposed to other companies that gave detailed quotes within days of coming to see the job, Wall to Wall got back to me three weeks later and falsely claimed to have sent me the quote earlier. Lame. DO NOT USE.
Description of Work: Basement remodeling job; brick wall exposure; attic insulation.

Due to our busy work schedule, we have been telling all our clients to expect their estimates in 12-15 days. We did make sure that you had this information and still wanted a quote from us. We will be more than happy to resend the estimate to another email address. Sincerely, Julio Angel Tuesta Noel President Wall To Wall Construction, Inc.
