Urban Brokers and specifically Mark is a terrific broker. They found our DC condo for us when we were living in Florida. We had Mark take our friend to see it and they suggested we fly up to see it ourselves. We took their (mostly Mark’s) word on the awesomeness of the place and put in an offer site unseen! They were terrific through the whole process. We went right to Urban Brokers when we were ready to upgrade to a larger home. He’s extremely knowledgeable about the market and we’d use him every time if he hadn’t found us our forever home this time around. Urban Brokers also connected us with mortgage lenders, appraisers, staging, photographers, inspectors, pest control and more. They know buying and selling homes and are the reason I laugh when someone says their doing it themselves to save the fees. The professionals at Urban Brokers made it worth every penny.

Mark Meyerdirk was the ultimate professional in helping us to find a new condo. We had worked with Mark in 2008 to purchase a condo the first time that we relocated to Washington DC. He helped us find a great unit which turned out to be an excellent investment. In fact, the day I met with him to discuss selling and purchasing a new home, he immediately took me to see a house that I ended up buying. Also, Mark marketed the house I was selling so well that I had two offers well above asking price in less than 48 hours. Because of Mark and his team's efforts, my house sold in four days for much much more than I expected. Not only is Mark and his team excellent at what they do, they are great people. We give Mark Meyerdirk and the team at Urban Brokers our highest recommendation. He was extremely attentive and responsive, trustworthy, smart, and overall a great human being! We were first-time homeowners and his responsiveness and warmth made the home-buying process less overwhelming and even enjoyable (at times). We saw the home shortly after moving to Washington DC and were not sure if we should move on it. Mark assisted us and our son in finding a condo in Washington, DC. We could not have found a better realtor (found him right here, on Angie's List!)n online. Although we were buying a one-bedroom condo, Mark could not have treated us better if we had been spending millions on a large home. I have been working with Mark and Urban Brokers LLC. since 2005. At that time I bought a condo. He helped me decide on a fair price to offer the seller which was accepted. A few years later he sold my house. First he spent alot of time showing me comps, and we looked at how long other properties had been on the market, and if prices had been reduced. He took his time and was patient. He sold my house for a good price in a difficult market. A few years later I sold my condo, still in a weak market. Although there were other condos for sale in my building, he was able to sell it quickly again for a good price. Gloria works with him, and they are a great team. They always call me back. They make selling and buying easy for me. Mark has gone beyond my expectations of a realtor. If there is a problem he will take care of it and has given me excellent advice. I know through experience that he is trustworthy and he knows the DC area market. I really can't say enough positive things about my dealings with him.

Working with Mark as my buying agent was a great experience, from start to finish. He's really friendly and easy to work with, but more importantly, I don't think I've ever met a realtor who is so diligent and responsive. Even though he's high-profile and does brisk business in some very high-end homes (my 200k house was A LOT less than what he usually deals with) he's also quite easy-going and modest, which was very refreshing. Whenever I called or texted him, he'd respond shortly thereafter. If ever I had a question about a property, financing, etc., that needed to be conveyed to the selling agent or someone else, he was on it lightning fast. This friendliness and hard work is something I thought couldn't be found in DC. I was really surprised.

Mark Meyerdirk and his team did their homework on the market, staged the house very carefully, and prepared beautiful brochures and ads. He suggested that I leave town for the opening weekend . Thursday they tucked me in a taxi, as I flew to the Charleston Spoleto Festival and they prepared for the brokers' open house that day. Three days later I had three offers that had bid the price up $55,000 over asking. The next day we signed. No contingencies and no problems at any stage.Urban Brokers is a small business and initially I had wondered whether I should go with a big firm. Mine were both quite "upscale" houses but Urban Brokers knows the Washington DC market and was able to deliver results that I don't think even the biggest firms could have matched. In addition, the service was very personal and strictly first class. They were completely respectful of my personal needs and wishes, e.g. my insistence on a two month lease back contract on my house.

He told us exactly what to expect when we listed, what the pitfalls were, how to best negotiate the contract, provided advice when and where necessary, and did it all with quick professional service. I credit him for helping us get what turned out to be the perfect home for us. He saw through our first-time purchasers list of unrealistic wishlist (a fixer-upper where we novices could do all of the work ourselves) and guided us to purchase a home that ultimately met all of our real wishes. We were so lucky to have found Brian and hope to have an opportunity to use him again.

Very personal care and first rate job. The house sold fast because the sale was very carefully planned, timed, and staged. I then found and closed on my replacement condo within one month. I never could have done this without the help of Urban Brokers. I considered using one of the bigger firms but I am so happy that I went with Urban Brokers. They know the market.
