Description of Work: On Thanksgiving Day our kitchen sink backed up- our usual plumber was not working because of the holiday so I turned to Angie. Stevens answered immediately and Patrick showed up within the hour and got right to work snaking the drain. He was able, after considerable time and effort, to partially clear the drain so we were able to use it. The next morning Julio appeared and finished the job. Julio also fixed 2 leaking faucets while he was here and Stevens did not bill us for his time since we had paid overtime for Patrick's trip the nite before. They were neat,prompt, pleasant and capable. |Stevens is an old established company and my experience demonstrated why they are still in business after nearly a century!

Description of Work: They were very responsive and pleasant, but took alot of time to figure out how to repair a shower that had frozen because they were not familiar with the German maker and could not find the parts. I had to order the missing part directly from the manufacturer.

Description of Work: Alex showed up early for a 9am appointment to fix a leaking toilet. He worked efficiently and quickly (which is nice when you're paying by the half-hour). He was friendly and professional. I was extremely pleased with the service, the technician and the results. I would definitely recommend these guys for your plumbing needs.

Description of Work: Stopped the water flow of a washing machine. I was given Stevens' name by my condo manager whom i called in desperation since my washing machine was spewing water and it wouldn't stop. When i called I spoke to Richard Nashwinter, the owner. There were no service people available so he said he'd come himself and was at my condo within 10-15 minutes. He clearly was an expert and was able to stop the water in a few minutes. He wouldn't accept any money for his time, expertise and critically needed help. Stevens Company and Richard Nashwinter definitely are on the top of my list. I will never use another plumber and i recommend Stevens highly to all my friends and colleagues.

Description of Work: My hot water heater wasn't staying lit. I called them and they explained that I could likely fix the problem myself by cleaning the burner. Since I am not very handy, I said that I would like to pay for them to come show me how to do it. The plumber came and showed me how to use a brush to clean it and that I need to keep the area clean of dust, etc. There was also a piece missing (some guard to keep out dust) so they ordered that and returned at no charge to pop it in place. That extra touch was really nice. Now I am going to use them at work where I need more plumbing work done.

Description of Work: Had a clog in my kitchen sink. Tried to snake it myself but it was too far down. Stevens worked with the building superintendent to get in the apartment, made the repair, cleaned up and left. Even credited me for the $15 off Angie's List coupon.
