Description of Work: Came in right after we found a water leak from refrigerator down through floor to wall, bookcase, and ceiling and floor below. Dried everything out and ensured no further damage. Prompt, professional, and reasonably priced.

Description of Work: Dryer belt broke and needed to find repair person ASAP. Service Master answered phones late in the evening, so selected them for appointment the following day. The service person called ahead as promised and quickly diagnosed and fixed the belt. Technician was friendly and professional and showed me how the belt was attached.

Description of Work: Technician was prompt, courteous, and came out on ad Sunday! By the time he assessed the situation, he determined that he could fix my washing machine/dryer by doing a very simple step and was in and out and gone within 15 minutes. Therefore, he didn't charge me which was amazingly courteous.

Description of Work: An extremely helpful company. Turned out they could not repair my European made dishwasher so the gentleman went to the trouble of finding a number for someone who could. Very much appreciated since another repair company has been dolinquent for nearly a month which is what caused me to look elsewhere.

Description of Work: Needed (hopefully) small fixes for washing machine and dish washer. They gave me a quick appointment. Showed up promptly, and fixed the problems. Quick and easy.

Description of Work: The only complaint I have is the pricing which seems to vary by the tech doing the work. My first call was for a problem with my refrigerator which was not cooling properly. My service call was scheduled for sat Aug 24. the tech called me 30 mins before he was to arrive, just as the person scheduling the appointment told me. The tech arrived on time, introduced himself as Lucky Singh and proceeded to check out the refrigerator. It took him about 15 to 20 mins to diagnose the problem, which was a build up of ice on the evaporator coils. he told me to defrost the fridge for 24 hours and turn it back on. That should fix the problem and if it did not he would come out again at no charge to see what was going on. he told me that since he really did no repairs , all I owed him was $39.95 for the service call. Sure enough, 24 hours later the fridge was working just fine. i was thrilled with the service and the honesty of Lucky and resolved to use Service master in case i needed some other appliance fixed. I recommended Service Master to 3 of my neighbors. Two weeks later i had a problem with my dishwasher. I called Service master and scheduled an appointment.The tech called 30 mins before he showed up, so far so good. It was not Lucky but another gentleman who did not give his name, just Service master tech. I explained to the tech that the diswasher was making grinding noises and that I had pulled some pieces of glass from the bottom of the dishwasher which reduced the noise about 80% but that i suspected that some debri had gotten past and was hitting the blade. the tech agreed that was probably the case and proceeded to take the parts out so that he could get to the blade. A total of 9 screws and two parts had to be removed, far less than what Lucky removed to get to the evaporator coils in my fridge. Sure enough there were two pieces of small debri near the blade , which the tech picked up with his fingers and handed to me. he then put the parts back together. When i asked how much I owed him he told me $180. I was shocked and told him that the service call was only $39.95 and that he did not perform any real repairs other than open up the diswasher , which he would have to do anyway to diagnose the problem and give me an estimate for the repair if any needed to be done. he told me that the normal charge for what he did was $180 but he could give me a $40 discount and all I owed was $140.Rather than continue arguing with him, I paid the $140. the service was good but I feel that I was overcharged on the work that was performed on the dishwasher, and am requesting ANGIES LIST to intervene and have Service master relook at what they charged. if they stand by their charge, then I would advise other members to make sure that you only get Lucky Singh to come out and if you cant get Lucky, make sure that you agree with the tech what he will do as part of the service call and what he will charge you for. The whole purpose of the service call is to have the tech tell you what you will pay if you elect to get the repairs done. the service call is to compensate him for the time to diagnose the problem and estimate what the repairs will cost.
