Description of Work: Service provider missed one appointment, and then when he finally came out he looked at the dishwasher, and offered two possible solutions, but admitted that he wasn't sure which solution would be best and the cost was substantially more than originally planned.

Description of Work: Our washing machine was not draining properly. It was a relatively easy fix in the end, which was good for us. The serviceman was quite a bit later than scheduled, but he called to tell me that early in the day so that I could readjust my schedule.

Description of Work: First, diagnosed problem with frig but couldn't move it out. I had to hire someone to move it before repairs could be done.

Description of Work: They called the day of the appointment and said the "can't clean the garbage disposal" as the deal states even without looking at my unit. I really don't understand why.

Description of Work: Replaced a part for the refrigerator. We were able to schedule the appointment very quickly, and the technician came at the beginning of the time window given. He was very professional, and very responsive to inquiries after the service was performed. We will definitely call them again.

Description of Work: Service Master responded to our Angie's List Big Deal purchase the very next day and were able to come out within the week to look at our garage refrigerator. The Big Deal we purchased was to fix a large appliance. The technician arrived within the two hour window that I booked and looked at the refrigerator. He indicated that it needed a new relay and that the compressor was failing as well but he'd see if he could fix it. He said he'd come back with the part the next day (He had a relay in his truck but it wasn't the correct model.) The next day he returned with the correct relay and installed it but the compressor still wasn't working so he deemed the refrigerator unfixable and that we would need to purchase a new one. He charged us a nominal service fee ($49) to cover the diagnostic service call and asked that we request a refund from Angie's List since they could not honor the Big Deal. Although they were unable to fix our refrigerator, Service Master was very nice to work with and handled the situation professionally and timely.

Description of Work: The provider diagnosed and repaired my refrigerator within the two trips offered through the $135 coupon. The part (air diffuser) costs $94 which was the same price I came up with through my research. The technician explained the problem in simple terms, explored my "what if" scenarios and 24 hours later my fridge stopped freezing food. I'm grateful to Manny and Lucky.

Description of Work: They showed up on time, as scheduled. However, they did not perform the 135.00 Angie's List Big Deal repair because the parts would cost more than a new machine, so they recommended no repair. I paid 49.95 for the service call and the evaluation.

Description of Work: Service technician arrived as scheduled and inspected the appliance but said that the part needed to repair my washer was not available due to the age of the machine, so he charged $49.95 for the diagnostic service call rather than use the $135.00 Big Deal Large Appliance Repair coupon that I had bought from Angie's List. After that, I found that I could easily locate the needed part from several sources on the Internet. I'll look for a different repair service to get the job done.

Description of Work: Frost was building in our GE Freezer side of our refrigerator. The technician showed us that one of the lower drawers in the freezer was off the track and was preventing the door to close properly. I was expecting to hear that the gasket was old and needed to be replaced or that the refrigerator should be replaced. The technician checked the entire freezer and was at our home for one hour just to be sure that there were no other problems. $50 well spent!
