Lucky, the tech, was wonderful, courteous and punctual and once the parts were in, repaired the appliances without delay.

They are pretty timely and get the work done very quickly and smoothly. I have used them in the past and will continue to use them in the future.

Don't deal with these people. In my opinion, they are dishonest and liars to boot. I bought a Big Deal for a large appliance repair for $135. I selected the deal because it included up to 2 service calls, and I anticipated that there might need to be two visits, one to diagnose the problem and one to repair it. The problem I was having was with a four year old GE dishwasher. It has a feature called SmartDispense, which allows you to add a quantity of detergent, which is then dispensed in the proper amount for each cycle. The tech did arrive on time, and said that the problem was that the motor which runs the Smart Dispense function was burned out. He siphoned the backed up detergent out of the dispenser, and then said there was no need to repair the dispenser, since they were unreliable, "nobody is buying them anymore," and the manual dispenser worked fine. I explained that we were selling the house and that we had to have all the appliances working, so even if the part was expensive (about $280) we needed to have the repair done. He said there was no need, since "inspectors never look at that", but I insisted I needed the repair done. I confirmed that the Deal would cover the labor for the installation, and he mumbled that it would. He agreed to order the part. I believe he called back after a few days and said the part would take a week to come, and I said fine. After about two weeks, I called toward the end of the week and was told the part would be available the next Monday, and that the tech would come to install on Tuesday. On Monday, the tech called and said he still could not get the part, that they were not making this kind of machine anymore, that there was a backorder. At this point I called GE myself, and confirmed that the part was indeed easily available, that GE makes parts available for all its products for at least 10 years. It was obvious to me at this point that the company just did not want to have to make the second visit that was included in the Deal. I called Angies List and talked to their complaint department, who said he would talk to the company and either have them call me back or he would call back. I heard nothing for another 3 days, and was getting ready to call Angie's list again, but then the phone rang, it was the tech, and miracle of miracles! He suddenly had the part and wanted to come install it right away! He is supposedly on his way over as I am typing this review. From the sullen tone of his voice when he called, I conclude he is not very happy with me after I complained to Angies List, but I really don't care. I don't have a lot of confidence that the job will be done right, but I don't want to pay for another service call from another company. So if you want to deal with a company which does not return calls, which tries to avoid fulfilling the terms of their deals, which apparently lies to you about the availability of parts, and which advises you to lie on your home sale disclosure form about whether your appliances are working, then these are your guys. Otherwise, pick someone else.

Provider showed up as scheduled and evaluated problem with washer, determined a new pump was required. New pump took two weeks to be delivered to provider, so we were without a washing machine for those two weeks, a hardship to be sure. Provider installed pump day after it was delivered to them, machine is working satisfactorily at this time.

They had to order parts for my dishwasher which made the cost go up but it was either order the parts or get a new dishwasher. Everything ended up working out and I really appreciated their promptness.

I bought an Angie's List special for large applicance repair. The tube on my dryer had disconnected from the wall. The repairman was courteous and did a solid job. A few days later, the tube disconnected at the other end, at the dryer. The repairman (sorry, it's been months and I cannot remember his name!) came back and reattached that side free of charge. I asked about having the same service repair the broken broiler drawer on my oven, but the repairman said he would have to check on the parts and would get back to me - unfortunately, he never did so. That's the only negative point to an overall very positive experience.

We had an issue with the dishwasher and were considering if we should repair or buy a new one. The choice naturally boiled down to the cost of repair. This is where the Big Deal came into play. Very happy with our experience overall - scheduled the visit quickly, arrived on time, diagnosed the problem quickly, ordered the new part (at a reasonable price) and fixed dishwasher as soon as it arrived. Competent, polite, punctual and honest - do you need more?

The technician was professional and courteous. The only reason a give it a so-so on the price is that the determination of the dead pump was made within 10 minutes. The 'deal' was for an hour of labor, so I think it was a bit pricey for the actual services performed. A discount on future services would go a long way to make this $$$ palatable.

He came out and advised that it would be cheaper to buy a new dishwasher. He also checked out the washer per my request and made sure it was in order. So, no work was really done- but I was pleased with the service.

They were communicated very well. They followed up extremely fast. They gave information on how to find the parts I needed for the repair, he was very thorough on getting an idea on locating the parts and prices. They were excellent and professional. I will be using them again in the future.

I called to schedule a service appointment for my washing machine and wine fridge. They told me that it would take them at least 10 days to come out. I made the appointment anyway. They said they would be there between 8 AM and 11AM on the day of the appointment. At 11:28AM the technician left a message on my voicemail saying he was on the way. I called back at 11:41AM to see exactly when he would be there because he was late and I had to be at work. The technician nonchalantly tells me that since I did not pickup the phone when he called, he cancelled the appointment and that I would have to call his service desk and re-schedule. These people obviously do not need your business. With all the excellent reviews they have received I guess its time to stop living up to expectations. Not only did I waste an entire morning but the technician took it upon himself to cancel an appointment he didnt even show up for. There is nothing masterful or remotely in the realm of service about Service Master. All the excellent reviews they have received have made them feel untouchable. They will NEVER EARN my business or yours if your time and patience are worth anything to you.

Was able to solve problem without new part.

It was great. He was very helpful, my one bad comment would be about the scheduling. It was a little dicey. They were great. He came out once for the diagnostic and then the second time to fix it.

We called for service on 2/23/15. The technician arrived as scheduled on 2/25. He spent a few minutes examining the door latch, said he would order the part, and left after about 10 minutes. He returned with the part on 2/28, installed it, and checked it out in about 20 minutes. He was knowledgeable, courteous, careful while working on our washer, and willing to answer questions. This work was billed at $385 plus tax (about $385). I looked up the part number of the broken one -- prices on Amazon ranged from $45 to about $80. Centreville to Sterling, VA, is about a 30 minute drive. Even if we paid for two round trips (which is not reasonable since this was not an emergency call) plus labor of a half hour, that comes to $120/hr. That is simply unreasonable.

The service turned out good. There was nothing I disliked. They came out right after I purchased the Deal. The total cost including the $135 Big Deal was about $200. The price was okay.

Everything was good. They said they couldn't fix it. One technician came out. I was happy with the service. I ended up buying a new refrigerator.

Service Master was very professional from the start. They responded very promptly to my inquiry and scheduled the work within a few days. The repair person who came to our home was very knowledgeable, and recommended things that we could do ourselves, such as replacing small parts. He answered all my questions very completely. We followed his recommendations and the dishwasher is functioning much better.

Took apart and put together washing machine. We were told it would cost more to fix it just for the parts. We had so many problems with this washing machine. It was good advice and we decided to purchase a new one.
