Service Master

We have a 12 year old gas washer dryer unit, and the clothes have been getting stuck around the drum. It took some time to identify the make and model of the appliance since it was so old, but he was able to successfully locate and replace the seal. It now works great.

The technician took a few minutes, but relatively quickly diagnosed that it was a problem with the transmission of the washing machine, which would need to be replaced. He said given the cost of the part (around $200) and the age of the machine, he'd recommend replacing the washing machine rather than fixing it. He said that if they ordered the part it would have to be an official manufacturer part, and would be very expensive, but that if I wanted to order a cheaper one online, he could come back and install it for me. Since this all went so quickly (without any repair), I asked him to look at my ice maker, which had also recently broke. He was happy to do so. He said that the motor was blown out, and I'd have to order a new ice maker. Again, he said if they order it it would be really expensive, but that if I found a cheap one online, he could come back and install it. So, all of this is probably true, which is why I gave them a decent review, but my question is: why the h*** can they only get official, overpriced parts? It seems to me that a good service provider would be able to order cheaper parts off the internet themselves and just install them for me. Me having to deal with overpriced parts or try to figure it out myself basically eliminates the convenience of having a repairman take care of it.

The technician was competent and polite. Quickly fixed the problem. I have no problem with the service. It is their business practice that I don't like. They charged me $75 for part that I later found out could be had for $8 on the Internet. Watch out for a low price because they will screew you on the parts.

They fixed it and it works fine. They were prompt and I had no problems. It was minor thing with my oven and they fixed it. I Have not had any problems.

I used this company about 1.5 years ago from the December 2014 visit. Overall they were nice and fixed the issue, but it was the SAME issue from before. So my suggestion for this company is to buy their parts from someplace else. Quality of the replacement parts lasted just over a year (past the 1 year warranty period) and I had to pay for the same job again because I was out of warranty. I will not be using them again because I no longer own said washer/dryer combo.

It went fine. Although, it was hard to diagnose the problem, since all of the burners were working properly at the time.

The job was done in about 7 days time from the original visit. The repairmen were punctual and knowledgeable. Three separate appointments was slightly inconvenient but understandable for what seems to be a small business.

Great! They did exactly what we we needed, ordered he parts quickly and came back to do the repair as soon as the parts were available.

I contacted this provider after my washing machine overflowed and flooded my laundry room on a Sunday afternoon. They answered the phone immediately, and I initially scheduled service within a day. I had to call back and reschedule, unfortunately, and I was still able to get an appointment very quickly. They offered flexible scheduling and were very responsive. I was a little ambivalent about getting my machine repaired, since it was 10 years old I was not sure it was worth it. The technician came and quickly diagnosed the problem, and it was less than $100 for the call, parts and the repair. I would definitely use Servicemaster again based on their responsiveness, quick turnaround time, and pricing (although I did not comparison shop this repair).

I would use this company again for any small appliance repair or plumbing job. Very responsive, clear communication and very punctual.

Arrived early (called and checked if arriving early was okay - so it was great), quick look and he let me know I was looking at a lot of replacement parts for my issue. I had a strange pink slime over everything that kept coming back. Gave me options but was frank in the assessment that since he couldn't be sure what the case of the slime was (we think it was a faulty blade and pump) and the cost of repair was pretty high that I might want to consider purchasing a new one. I did. I got this on an Angie's list deal. So the value wasn't good but that wasn't anyone's fault but my own. I should have just called them outright because it probably would have been a little less (but not much since there's a minimum)

Servicemaster came out to look at my washing machine, which had not been agitating or spinning the clothes. I got a little nervous about the schedule, because I had a meeting to go to shortly after the end of the window, but the technician showed up within the window, and I made my meeting with no problem. It took him about 5 minutes to diagnose the problem, determine that it would take significant amounts of time and money to fix (more than the machine was worth), and recommend that I buy a new washing machine.

He fixed the problem. He came promptly and was very professional.

It went fine. The service was professional and go the job done. I'm irked at the GE company for making parts that are expensive to replace.

He showed up on time. We talked with him about the problem the stove was experiencing. He was both knoweledgalbe and polite. He disassembled part of the stove and tested the control circuit board, finding it partially not working. The following day, at the cost of the replacement control board, he came back with a new board and installed it. The stove works fine, now. He also gave us important information on our other appliances, He was very, very knowledgeable and explained thing in detail. I definitely trust his recommendations.. with We were very happy with Service Master.

Asked to contact via email and they kept calling my cellphone. They ended up never arriving eventhough I had someone at the home. I called them after there arrival time. They said they didn't arrive due to me not answering when I told them I had to have communication via email. I called and they found someone else they could send later that day.
