Service Master

When I called the office to make the appointment and I said I would use the coupon (WAIVED SERVICE CALL (VALUE $49.95) with any repair AND $40 off any complete repair with parts. Excludes built in fridge.) listed on Angie's list to repair the garbage disposal. The guy took less than 20 minutes to fix the disposal without any parts need to be replaced, and he said the minimum charge for them to get out is $135. I think this should have been communicated clearly before making the appointment. Is the 20 minutes labor worth $135? I don't think it is fair by any means. Even if they charge minimum one hour no matter it is 5 minutes or 1 hour, the one hour rate of $135 is sky high. There should be a minimum charge of 30 minutes to begin with. Is it fair to pay for 1 hour labor even it only takes 5 minutes?

See the above. They were unprofessional, unresponsive, incompetent and frankly I feel that I spent the money for nothing. Problem is no better than it was, $335 later.

I feel like there was a miscommunication between the vendors. I thought they were going to work on 2 appliances, but they only worked on one. I thought they were going to fix one and diagnose the second one. The guy that did come out was knowledgeable. When I called with my concerns, they did come out and fix it.

Technician showed up on time and diagnosed the problem quickly. did not have parts on truck so had to order them. Said it would take 1 week for them to arrive so he said "just to be safe" let's schedule in about 2 weeks. He agreed to my being the first call that day but said it might take a while to get from parts distributor so he might not arrive until 9:30 or 10 am. When he had not arrived by 10:30 am, I called & left a message. He called back at 10:45 am, said they did not have all the parts but he had ordered a new one and it would be in the next day. I asked him when he knew this because I had been waiting for him, and he got mad, suggested canceling the order and said my money would be refunded. As of today - 10 days later - my money has not been refunded.

Lucky was great! He came the day after I called them and arrived on time. They were very prepared and knowledgeable. They gave me options on what could be done, and kept me informed. I found them to be extremely professional!

It was fine. They've scheduled it right away. The cost overall was ridiculous. They wanted $135 for 5 minutes worth of work. I was a little bit annoyed with it actually because it literally took the guys five minutes to swap the part. I had to pay for the part and then the service itself is 135 bucks. I was literally paying thousands of dollars per hour. I had to pay for the parts. The deal was that they would do one replacement and would look at one other thing. I ended up paying the part on the stove, they replaced that as part of $150 and looked at the oven. They said it'll cost $135 for us to come and do the replacement and then this part is this much more. I really ended up paying another $300 out of pocket in addition to the $150. Overall, it was not a good deal at all. They fixed what I asked them to fix. They really should be charging based on the amount of effort not a flat rate. I don;t think I'll ever use Service Master again. I had to call back to get a hold of them to get the scheduling in the next part coming in because I had to order it. They really weren't proactive on that.

The work went fine. Dishwasher is in a galley kitchen that had close quarters, but the repairman pulled the unit out carefully upon his initial visit, assessed the problem, and informed that he would have to order the part and come back. We were okay with that. he returned the dishwasher to its nest under the counter and returned in a few days -- accommodating our schedule -- to complete the repair. While the cost of the two visits was covered by the Angie's List quote, the cost of the part was extra. All in all, a great experience.

They replaced a solonoid (electronic switch) and tested the compressor.

Had to make a couple visits, but it all worked out.

Lucky was the technician that I communicated and came by. He is very knowledgeable and explained what went wrong well. Apparently LG washers have a high defect rate when it comes to their drain pump assemblies. He was able to complete the work in under the estimated time and cost. Honest and professional! I will definitely be using this company and requesting for Lucky in the future.

Lucky, the technician, was very professional and he arrived on time. All of the Angie's List deals (consultation visit applied to repair and major appliance repair) were honored. I plan to use Service Master again.

We both agreed, that with what I had already spent for the diagnosis and what it would most likely cost to fix and with the age of my dryer, it would make more sense for me to buy a new dryer. I was grateful for his honesty. He also gave me his opnion on the brand of my machine and how long they typically last. I felt he was being honest and fair. I would definitely call them again and referred them to a neighbor.

He came on time , identified the problem nod had the part with him. Back up in under an hour.

Needed to go back for parts, but trip was included in the deal price. Dryer has been fine since. Knew what he was doing.

Disappointing, I'm now on Angie's List searching for a washer repair person for a squeaky belt

Came out to diagnose an issue with our dryer. We had him order the part and were told it would be available by mid-week this week. I received a call today stating he needed to reschedule our 4:30p appointment and was already home done working for the day. I feel it is unprofessional that he did not call earlier in the day to give me an opportunity to take off from work at meet him at noon. He was really rude to me on the phone when I brought up that issue stating he did not care if I left a poor review for him on Angie's List.

The service technician arrived within the timeframe and was very pleasant. I appreciated the phone call within 20 minutes before his arrival to ensure that someone was home. The service technician inspected the washing machine and shared that the replacement parts would be difficult to find for this 30 year old machine. I was not surprised and knew that it was time for a new washing machine. He offered suggestions for my next steps and I was pleased with the advice.

FANTASTIC! I'm always hesitant with appliance repair people, but I feel like I struck gold with Service Master! I purchased an Angie's coupon on Thursday and Service Master was almost immediately in contact with me. We scheduled an appointment for Tuesday. The technician called 30 min. before he arrived, as promised. He was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. The technician explained what he was doing and the maintenance I should be performing on my appliances to extend their lives. The repairs were made to my appliances and everything's working great. I will keep Service Master's number handy for the next time I need appliance repair.

They showed up in the time frame provided, the tech was nice, showed me everything he was doing and explained why the issue occured, etc. Very informative and knowledgable. Will use them again in the future.

I talked to them Wednesday to address the problem I was having.They came out on Thursday to look at the problem, and figure out what part i needed. I then talked to them Friday to follow up about the parts they had ordered to fix my washing machine. They were supposed to come today and fix it, but when I called they told me they still had not received the parts. I expected the company to come today with the part and be ready to fix my washing machine.

We had a problem with our LG dryer making a huge amount of noise. We found Service Master through Angie's List and hired them. The technician was prompt and professional. The price was exactly as advertised ($135 plus parts) and we were satisfied with their service. The only complaint (and the reason for the B for quality) was that we were required to move the dryer out of the laundry room before the technician arrived. It is a stacked W/D and is rather difficult to move.

We were getting ready to broil a steak and the flame never came on in the oven. Prior to that we also had a problem with the oven itself, for heating. The next morning, I called and Lucky came out 3 hours later. We've used this company before and found them reliable, pleasant, and able to take care of problems quickly. Lucky diagnosed that the igniter for the broiler wasn't working and that the other igniter used in roasting, etc. was on its last legs. We had both replaced as he had the parts on the truck. Lucky said this would give us another 2 to 3 years for this range. We're very pleased with the outcome.

It went well. They called my the next day and then came out to home the following day, repaired my washing machine and all was set.

The service technician was responsive and polite. He seemed very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose and repair quickly and efficiently. I was extremely pleased and would use them again.

Problem resolved itself shortly after scheduling. Service Master employees scheduled without problem and were nice about the cancellation.
