Service Master

Everything went smoothly...that is until I tried my first load of laundry. I scheduled for a technician from Service Master to come out to the house to do a complete diagnostic check on our Kenmore Elite 5t front load washer and REPLACE the boot seal (which we provided). The technician arrived during the scheduled time and was very polite. He quickly was able to replace the boot seal and then continued to give our washer a full diagnostic check. Upon completion (told job took less than 30min) I was informed that the seal was replaced and the washer was running perfectly and no issues were noted. It wasn't until after he left that the issues started. I went to do my first load of laundry and all these NEW error codes were flashing causing my wash cycle to stop...leaving my washer locked, clothes half washed and sitting in water. The error codes that flash are F21 and F27. These are all new problems and WERE NOT happening before the technician came to replace our seal. I called Service Master back on 1/14/2016 and politely explained my issue and asked if they could please send the technician back out to fix the issue. The gentleman that answered the phone was not only rude and abrupt but refused to send someone out unless we paid them for a 2nd job. This made me very angry considering my washer was NOT having this problems until the Service Master technician worked on it. I'm hoping it's a very easy fix (perhaps the technician put something back in the wrong place or something accidentally got shifted during the work) and thought it was only appropriate that they come out (free of charge) to resolve the issue they obviously created. NOT HAPPY!

Aside from a minor scheduling snafu, the actual service went well and was done within an hour.

I couldn't have been more pleased with the service. The agent was professional in appearance and demeanor. Immediately went to work, knew exactly what to do, and tackled and solved the problem. He was knowledgeable and provided all kinds of advice about my dishwasher and other dishwashers and what to look for, if I ever wanted to purchase a new dishwasher. He was efficient, but did not rush me when I had questions and he just stayed with me until I was satisfied. I have had other service providers who were really on the clock, I believe, because they are paid by the number of home visits they can check off their list, so they aren't patient with explaining the problem and how to prevent it in the future. This service agent also recommended that I use those little liquid packets, particularly given my problem with my tankless water heater, plus he said the packets work better than the crystals/powder. I've since switched to the packets and he was 100 percent correct. My dishes and the inside of the dishwasher are much cleaner. He also taught me how to clean the inside of my dishwasher using white wine vinegar. He showed me how to do it using a demonstration cycle. He was simply excellent. He must have a Ph.D. or something, that's how great and smart he was. He could tell you anything about any appliance, such as what brand is made by what manufacturer, which brands are best to buy for what appliance (e.g., stove, dishwasher, fridge), and which manufacturer is getting out of the business. He not only knew how to service appliances, but he knew the industry!

They came out and repaired my garbage disposal.

It was good. They had to come back and forth a couple of times. But, they were good. There was an additional cost. It was $100 or something. They didn't come with the parts and they had to come back the next day. It took them a while to get back to me.

The technician came on time for both visits (assessment and repair), performed the requested repair and was done in about an hour on each visit. Very professional.

The technician diagnosed the problem/issue right away and offered two choices of repair. He was honest and upfront about the pros/cons. He was also extremely quick - in and out in 30 minutes.

Diagnosis with Angieslist coupon was: $135.00 Additional Parts & Labor were: $240.14. Here's my message to Service Master when I bought the coupon: "Item is GE Profile fridge model PDS20SCPARSS. Freezer works, fridge only cools to 66deg. Motor runs." Luckily the technician had the necessary parts on his truck, and fixed it during that visit. Far cheaper than buying a new fridge!

They returned my call promptly. They called to remind me of the appointment. They showed up when they said they would. The repairman immediately saw what the problem was, explained how it had happened, and presto! the dishwasher was working again. He also provided helpful advice about what detergents are best. They are GREAT.

Very easy to work with . The technician they sent was prompt, knowledgeable and polite. They were easy to schedule, fixed the icemaker quickly and it works perfectly.

Both vists were timely. professional. The technicial throughly knew about the services needing to be preformed.

I wasn't happy with that because the appliance had to be replaced. They did service and it didn't work and they said that it's just too old. It was much more than what we thought we should be spending on an old refrigerator like that. I don't think I would use them again. I think I'd go with somebody local. They came out when they said they would so they were definitely prompt. He took his time and he explained everything to us. He was very nice. The refrigerator wasn't nice.

My elderly parents dish washer had stopped working and they needed to know if a repair would be simple or whether to buy a replacement. While I was not present, I understand they were pleased with the service provided and decided to purchase a new dishwasher.

The serviceman was very helpful and quickly assessed the problem. He identified that he could not repair the problem -- a coolant leak -- as it was a warranty issue with Whirlpool. We had purchased a Big Deal for a refrigerator repair for $135. He counseled us to call Angie's List for a refund and merely charged us $49 for a repair visit and assessment. Angie's List quickly refunded the Big Deal, so all is well. Now, if Whirlpool could only make better products.

Determined issue Monday and was back Wednesday to replace part

I purchased a deal Appliance-2375958-1 for $135. When I made the appointment, I gave them the make, model and serial number of my dishwasher and the information about my Angie's list "deal." Tech came and was here for less than 20 minutes and I showed him the deal certificate. He did not have the part and had to return. He did not come back for 10 days and when he did, I was not at home, but my husband was, My husband and his nurse said tech was here for less than 1 hour. He billed us for $280.51 in parts. Based on his pricing, I checked with Sears and his parts were over-priced. Perhaps I saved on the l labor but overpaid on the parts and had to wait too long for the tech to return.

The freezer was working but the refrigerator was not. I called service master and they were on site in about three hours. They fixed the problem in about 15 minutes. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and knowledgeable.

Excellent, knew what was wrong right away. Had a replacement board within a week. Repair took 10 minutes..

Very well overall, as the tech's analysis of the washer's likely need for a )costly, hard to find) pump replacement pushed us to replaced the Clinton era dinosaur. After tinkering with the things we thought might be causing the problem and reading tech manuals, we considered the $135 well spent to have a pro give our washer its last rites. Sure we could have fixed it for about half the cost of a new washer, but the risk of future breakdowns and the enticing efficiency of new models helped us make the choice. The tech was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt.

Service Master repaired a dishwasher that I thought I would have to replace. The gentleman was efficient and very polite. He explained the nature of the problem, showed me the parts that needed replacing before doing any work. The parts were extra, but Service Master was up front about that, and the prices parts seemed reasonable to me. The dishwasher works like new. The water drains properly and the dishes get clean.
