Certain buttons stopped working on LG Electric Oven control panel. Lucky came out to diagnose issue and then ordered part and returned to install it. He was very nice and worked quickly. Very happy with service.

ch Service Master tech was called as a "second opinion" (using an Angie's List deal) after GE tech assessed problem to be with dispenser motor and gave an expensive quote for part and labor in addition to the obligatory "convenience fee" for the initial service call. The Service Master tech did a more extensive test, showed me that the dispenser motor was in fact not at fault, and then said he would be back with the control board that he believed was at fault. In fact, he returned a day or two later with another -- low cost -- switch which he thought might solve the problem. No charge for that visit, then later called me to say that -- after discussion at his office and inconclusive consultation with GE -- they were not confident that the dispenser board was absolutely be the solution and, because GE required non-refundable payment in advance for the part, they recommended against going ahead with the service and refunded the Angie's List deal fee. I was disappointed that the problem could not be resolve, but VERY impressed by their integrity through the process.

I purchased a deal through Angies List for $145 for Service Master to fix a large appliance. Our clothes washing machine is getting louder and louder when it goes through the final spin cycle. The technician started up the machine and had it go into the final spin cycle and then he said to me that it would cost more to fix the washing machine than it would to get a new one. Since Service Master doesn't sell washing machines, I dont think he had any incentive to steer me towards not fixing my existing machine. He said that the bearing were worn down and that the labor charges alone would cost more than a new machine. The technician charged me $49 for a service visit and then told me how to get Angies List to refund the $145 for the deal I purchased. One short phone call to Angie's List and the $145 was refunded. I'm quite happy with the honesty. I will use this company again in the future.

The technician was friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. He recommended a course of action and did the work very quickly and professionally. He gave me advice on our washer and dryer and made recommendations for new appliances (when we want to buy them).
Description of Work: The Service Master technician arrived as scheduled. After checking out the washing machine, he determined we needed a new motor and had a replacement part in his van. He quickly installed the new motor and even answered my questions about the best washing machine brands (when we buy replacement machines).

The initial visit in September was fine. About three weeks ago, my fridge stopped cooling again. I called ServiceMaster. When they came out to repair it, the guy (who my stepdad said was the same guy who came the first time) said that it was the same problem as before. He replaced the parts he had installed in September. I called ServiceMaster and was told they only offer a 90 day warranty on parts, so there was nothing they could do. They didn't offer me a discount on service or anything. This was a huge inconvenience and I wound up having to throw out a lot of food because the fridge had to be off for 24 hours after the repair.
Description of Work: I bought a package deal for them to inspect and repair my refrigerator, dishwasher, and garbage disposal. My freezer wasn't freezing anything. He was able to fix that. The only additional charge was for parts.

Our Technician fixed the refrigerator in September. Customer called us again on February 23 with refrigerator not cooling again. After looking at the refrigerator technician diagnosed that defrost timer has failed on refrigerator but our warranty is only for 90 days which is clearly stated on the invoice. It was $80 part and we charged customer $115 the second time for labor instead of $135. So we gave $20 discount to customer already.

Was easy to schedule service over the phone. We had purchased the boot kit ourselves. They were able to quote us the rate to replace over the phone. They arrived during our scheduled three hour window. The repair took about 45 minutes. Repairman was professional. Very satisfied with the work performed.

The control unit had been replaced a year earlier by a M&M, the repair service that performs local warranty service for Frigidaire. That earlier experience was a disaster--it took about 3 months and multiple visits from the first service call to the date that the range was functional, but the range started failing again a few weeks after installation of the new control unit . Through the whole process, it was difficult to schedule appointments at convenient times. I would spend long periods on hold with their telephone representatives and did not receive return phone calls when promised. On two occasions, the technician showed up with the wrong parts. Finally, M&M's cost for factory parts was 70-100% higher than other reputable suppliers. (I should note that M&M also performed low complexity repairs related to a safety recall.) Service Master diagnosed the need for a new control unit quickly. Their charge for a new unit was reasonable (about $150 less than M&M), though I was able save a few more dollars by purchasing the part from Amazon. Service Master installed the new control unit within two days after I had it in hand. They showed up for appointments on time, installed the new part without fuss, and I finally have a fully functional range. The lesson: Don't assume that the repair company that does factory authorized service is going to be the most competent. If your appliance is out of warranty, use the service that has the best reputation.

Called Saturday and scheduled an appointment for the next day, Sunday. They said they would be here between 11 and 2. At 3pm, I called, since nobody had arrived. He said my appointment was for Monday. That is not what we discussed on the phone though. I looked at a number of providers but only called the companies who could come out on Sunday, so obviously wouldn't schedule it for Monday.

This was the most terrifying experience I've ever had with a repair man. The technician came into the house and began to look at the dishwasher. He broke the molding under the dishwasher and then claimed that he couldn't do anything because the molding was in the way. When I asked who would pay for the damage he caused to my molding, he began to yell at me, while I was holding my 11 month old son in my arms. When I asked him to stop yelling at me, he yelled that he wasn't, then said F**K you B***H, you're trash you f**king b***h. He then stormed out of my house, slamming every door on his way out and then to top it off, he kicked a package that was sitting on my stoop down the stairs, and then kicked it a second time across my front yard. Another man walking down the street saw this and asked me if I was ok. When I called Service Master to complain, they didn't seem all that concerned. The complete lack of professionalism, and even common decency, the wanton destruction to my home, and lack of concern by both the technician and the company was unacceptable.
Description of Work: They were supposed to fix a broken panel on the bottom of the dishwasher.

In my initial and subsequent communications with provider I wrote that the dryer was disassembled and the new motor needed to be wired in. Tech looked arrived and said he could not wire the motor and could not put the dryer back together. A wasted week waiting on this provider to fix my dryer. Poor communications. Poor service.
Description of Work: Missed first appointment. Showed-up for second appointment and refused to repair dryer.

You send us a request to install a motor in your dryer which you already has purchased, you never told us that you took apart the whole dryer with every thing unattached. when the technician arrived at your property he found out that you tried to fix the dryer by yourself. Whole dryer was taken apart screw by screw with control board, drum and motor. We gave you free service call and told you to call the manufacture. I've used Service Master several times for large appliance repair and have always found our technician, Lucky, to be honest and reliable. On his first visit, he said he needed to replace the temperature sensor in the freezer compartment. He ordered the part and came out the next day, a Saturday, and put it in. However, this didn't solve the problem. I spoke with him and he said it would be necessary to replace the control board. He had been trying to save us money and he said replacing the temperature sensor often worked. The control board was ordered and he was back the next day to install it. Everything is working perfectly.
Description of Work: The freezer in our KitchenAid refrigerator was frosting up and turning everything in it to stone. Lucky came out to diagnosis the problem and after two tries it was fixed.

On the first visit he determined what was wrong with our microwave. It did not heat and the turn table would not turn. Then parts were ordered. He called and set up an appointment to do the repairs. It took about a week. He came in the window specified. The repairs took about a half hour. He seemed very knowledgeable. He had to take the microwave out of the wall and take it apart and then put it all back together. Works great!
Description of Work: Replaced new door switch, magnetron, and diad for our Dacor microwave.

It was okay. I have no complaints. It has worked since. The service person fixed it in 35-40 minutes. I didn't pay him extra. They didn't tell me exactly what had happened. The refrigerator is only about 5 years old.
