Service Master

We communicated vis SMS to exchange part numbers and show what needed to be fixed. Manni was very professional and courteous, had all the parts in the van and did a great job.

He concluded that the board in the door of the dishwasher was defective. After a week, he called to inform me that he could not find the needed part. I decided that now was the time to get a new dishwasher and told him to quit looking for someone with the right part.

Fantastic! They came and repaired the ice machine within a few hours of us contacting them through Angie's List.

It went fine. Had to come back after part was ordered. Left a bit of a mess after finishing but generally ok.

The work was preformed pretty well, but one of the managers was quite annoying and unprofessional. He kept trying to get me to sign some document declaring that they would not be responsible for any problems related to their work. At first, he said that he thought that their charge would not be covered by insurance, there was some discussion of skipping some particular step. We didn't take that option, but he assumed that we did. But, the worrying thing is that the document was not just related to this particular step. He was pushing hard for me to sign a document releasing them from responsibility for any aspect of their work.

Lucky called before arriving and fixed the issue in no time. He also answered some of my other appliance questions.

Excellent! The technician called shortly before his arrival, as promised. Naturally the cycle worked while he was there, so he gave me some pointers for the future. He was very professional and knowledgeable, and did not charge for the service call. I would definitely use them again.

Unbelievably horrible. These folks are total con artists. I contacted them and wanted to purchase the $145 offer through angie's list for large appliance repair. I wanted to make sure my problem would be covered by that offer. Manni, the owner, told me not to purchase the offer that they would come out and assess the situation and perhaps the repair would be less than $145 offer. He asked me to get the fridge's model number and call him back so he could make sure the repair technician comes to the appointment with the required part. I called him back the next day with the requested information. On the day of the first appointment, the technician had not arrived within the specified window of the appointment, I called and was told he would be on his way. I asked if he had the part with him, I was told he didn't but he didn't think he needed a part (this was before he even saw the problem). He eventually arrived and said that something needed to be snapped back in place. he snapped the part back in place and charged me $145. I asked about the warranty on the repair and we talked at great length about a replacement part because I was pretty certain that parts needed to be replaced to prevent this from recurring. It is very clear from internet research that this is a common problem as the spring and mechanism wears out. Of course, within a couple of weeks, the same thing happened - I haven't been able to use my freezer for 7 weeks. We scheduled an appointment for Service Master to return with the actual part last Monday. They didn't show. We rescheduled for this Friday - and I told Manni I was getting very frustrated and he assured me, promised me, he would be at my house himself at 10 am on Friday - guaranteed. I called him at 10:30, he said he would try to be there by noon at the earliest. I told him that I find this treatment completely unacceptable, I asked for a refund, he told me to write a review on Angie's list and find someone else. He has lost a lot of business. I have a number of good appliances in need of repair that I would like to keep working instead of replacing. This is such horrible customer service, I really doubt the authenticity of the reviews here. I've since contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. It's shocking they can stay in business.

Called in mid-morning when I found fridge temp elevated. Was able to get a service call that afternoon. Rep called 30 minutes out to alert me. Arrived in a timely fashion and was extremely professional. Found a minor problem he thought was the cause and remedied that. Only charged me the service call fee ($50) and explained that if the problem recurs in next ten days, the $50 will be deducted from the repair cost. I could not have asked for faster, more professional service. They will be my go-to guys for any future needs.

No show- twice! I called the company when the tech didn't show on day 1 and they couldn't reach him by phone. I rescheduled for the next day and the technician is a no show again.

Preparing for a week long trip and on last load of laundry at 7:45 on Monday evening. Machine would not pump out the water. Great! Checked AL and found Service Master with extended hours (until 11:00 p.m.!) Called and had an immediate pick up to arrange service for the following day between 2-5 p.m. I was keeping my fingers crossed it could be repaired with a tub full of water and clothes. Sohi called at the front end of the time frame, gave appx. time of arrival, arrived within that time, knew exactly what was the problem, has the part, and repaired the machine within 30 minutes. Excellent service from the initial phone call to the final good by!

He showed up on time. He was very honest, and patient. I had purchased a Big Deal from Angie's List, but the provider let me know that I actually did not need a major repair. I was able to get the deal refunded, and only had to pay for a service charge.

The provider showed up exactly on time; within 5 minutes he diagnosed the problem with the motor/motor assembly. Even though I will still need to replace the unit, I am confident that the problem was correctly assessed in a timely and professional manner. I will use them again in the future for appliance repair.

We purchased a large appliance repair special from Service Master and the technician Lucky was terrific. He came exactly as scheduled, but it turned out we needed the igniter for our broiler replaced. The smaller igniter commonly fails or wears out and I think he had that part in the truck, but the larger igniter is much less commonly replaced so it had to be specially ordered. But Service Master did that for us and came back the next week and installed it (we paid only the extra cost for the part, nothing for the second visit). Lucky was fast, courteous, professional and clearly knows his craft -- great experience all around.

Service Master said a repairman would be at my house between 3:00 and 6:00. So I had to take the day off from work. The repairman called my cell at 3:30 and left a message stating he is trying to find me but my cell went right to voicemail without ringing. I got the message and called him back at 4:00, he said I was too late and I would need to reschedule. I called the office of Service Master in DC and talked with Manny the owner. He said the repairman will not come to my house unless I confirm I am home first. I was never told I had to confirm with the repairman first or he would not come to the house. Now, his timeframe was between 3:00 and 6:00 and I called at 4:00. There is still plenty of time to come out because Manny said he went to another job in my area. Manny could careless that I took a day off from work, I told him I would writing a bad review and he said so what!!! Terrible customer service, I would hate to see if he did the job and there was a problem.

Certain buttons stopped working on LG Electric Oven control panel. Lucky came out to diagnose issue and then ordered part and returned to install it. He was very nice and worked quickly. Very happy with service.
