+ -1 moreI hired Schmidt's Electric on 10/03/2023 for a renovation project in Charles County, MD. Erik Scmidt sent me a quote for $6960 and asked for 50% down, which I paid. The contract stated that he would finish the work by October 13, 2023. Up until November 27, 2023, I was still trying to get Schmidt's Electric to honor their contract with me. Schmidt Electric did not finish the work that I paid for and the little work that was done caused the county to shut down my project due to his tampering with a panel without a permit. Schmidt Electric did NOT pull permits to do the work despite my paying for it and the owner being a master electrician, knowing better. Due to his extremely poor work and poorer work ethic, he cost me over $15,000 in overruns to include hiring a new electrician. I have repeatedly asked for a refund to only be met with belligerence. I will be pursuing this matter in court but, in the meantime, save yourself money, time, and heartache by NEVER using this company. If I could give zero stars, I would!
Description of Work: Pull permits, install new panel, recess lightning, and switches. This was a renovation project and hiring him was the worse mistake!

After explaining my problem with a circuit breaker, he suggested that I follow certain steps which quickly resolved the issue without his coming to my home and saved me the expense of labor and parts. I am very impressed with his willingness to serve and his integrity!
Description of Work: He gave advice on determining which device in the room may have cause the tripping of the circuit breaker and not the breaker itself. As to the future plans, I will be contacting Schmidt Electrical again based this interaction!
