+ -1 moreHonestly, I will coming back to these guys for any HVAC needs. They have been extremely prompt, responsive, kind, fairly price and -- most importantly -- have fixed the problem, every time. I could not recommend them more highly. You won't be disappointed. Most other competitors will charge a fee just to come out, then almost immediately recommend replacement parts. These guys come out, diagnose the problem honestly (even if that means a less costly solution) and fix the issue. Service like this is a dying practice. Let's support them all we can.

+ -1 moreCalled to inquire about an issue with my central air system. I have separate thermostats for heating and cooling and the cooling thermostat wasn't working. I have a SpacePak system in the house I recently bought. Saini explained that he normally doesn't service systems of this type but he spent a few minutes on the phone explaining a couple troubleshooting steps I could take on my own. I was able to reset the thermostat and get the system working. I really appreciate him taking the time even though there wasn't an opportunity to perform any work.

+ -1 moreWhen we arrived home from dinner last evening, the air conditioner was running but no cool air was flowing. We called Saini to schedule an appointment. Unfortunately, they were already booked for Saturday. However, the technician spent a good bit of time with us -- and it was about 9:30 p.m. -- walking us through some potential causes of the problem. He was extremely helpful and professional. Although we did find another company to repair the unit today, we would absolutely give Saini another call if we have trouble in the future, or if we do need to replace our air conditioner.

+ -1 moreIt was not working optimally. I called them Sat. morning and left a message. They responded within 15 min and there were here within 2 hours to fix it. They're always very responsive and always show up when they say they will. They are extremely knowledgeable about what they're doing. They're also always pleasant. He always tries to repair the system for me instead of pushing a new unit. He's very honest in his assessments and always gives me options.

+ -1 moreConsulted with Sani on phone. Completed checks as suggested. That, combined with internet research on my model of furnace, allowed us to agree that the heater ignition element was the likely problem. Sani had the needed part with him on arrival. New just how to remove and reattach the mounting bracket for the heating element so that it would be in the correct position to ignite the gas. Also checked out issues with outdoor air conditioning unit while on site. A superior service all around. Only caveat is that Capital Hill area is not necessarily serviced 5 days a weeks.
Description of Work: Replace heater ignition element for gas furnace. Cleaned and checked other igniter components.

I was able to get an appointment within 2 days, they were on time, professional, very nice... checked out my A/C system and did what was necessary to get it working again... and gave me very helpful information about its status, what went wrong, and what to expect in the future. The system works great now. I will absolutely call these guys again when the time comes. Its a relief just knowing that should something go wrong again, I know exactly who to call. + -1 moreThese guys were great. They gave me tips on how to improve performance on the unit. They were prompt and through with their work.
Description of Work: The A/C portion of my our gas furnace was not functioning properly and the pipes were frozen solid. I tried to fix the problem myself by turning off the AC and letting the pipes melt and then reinsulating the pipes with new material. Once that did not work, I decided to call Saini A/C because i had call them once before through Angie's List and they (brothers Robert and Aidi, I believe) were able to tell me what the problem was without charging me for their time. When I call about this problem, One of the brothers talked me through a checklist and it was determined that had to come and look at the unit. They arrive on time and remember me from the last time they came out. Apparently, water had drip onto a motherboard and short circuited the whole system. They order a new motherboard. It took several days for the part to come in. It only took them a couple hours to fix the unit and they gave me some tips on how to get maximum performance out of the system. These guys were great and definitely used them again.

The second one had been switched off showed me the swtch-(on the wall that looked like a light switch which controlled it??!?-very odd would have never figured that out) and went on the roof and check the third unit which turned out to be fine.

+ 0 moreMy hot water tank was not working. My first call to schedule an appointment was not returned. My second call four days later was returned. After I explained my problem, Mr. Saini informed me that the business really focused on A/C units and would not be able to take on my job for at least two weeks. It would have been courteous for the company to provide that response much earlier. I was able to secure an appoitnment from another highly rated contractor for the very next day and now have my problem resolved.

+ -1 moreSaini is an outstanding company. My water heater was broken and I expected that I'd have to buy a new one. After Saini inspected it, he suggested fixing it before replacing the whole unit. He called the manufacturer on my behalf and requested replacement parts since the unit was still under warranty. Saini called me every day asking if the replacement parts had arrived and promptly came and did the work once they did. My hot water heater has been working like a charm ever since. He was very friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. I would HIGHLY recommend using him for any of your HVAC needs.

He spent a few minutes with me talking through the problem and determined that I probably just needed a new air filter. My husband went to the store and replaced the filter and that did the trick. Sani called me the next day to follow up. He said I could do a cleaning of the furnace, but recommended I do another service first that his company doesn't provide. I can't tell you how rare and appreciated an honest contractor is. I didn't get to use Sani this time but I will in the future!

Description of Work: I had Saini come over to perform service on my air handler. Since my air handler was not serviceable due to its position in my ceiling and was also not the type of air that Saini works on, they were not able to do anything other than advise me on how to handle a smell that was coming from my air handler, how air handlers work and how to pick the company I should work with.

Description of Work: My A/C was not working after installing a new digital thermostat. I called Saini and they scheduled an appointment for the next day. Mr. Saini came out and inspected the system and reinstalled the thermostat. Two years ago Saini came out for another problem and Mr. Saini checked that work again this time to make sure everything was still running properly. He gave me some good advice about maintenance, too.

+ -1 moreExcellent. Rob and his brother were professional and courteous. They were not only extremely responsive but also respectful to my home (how many contractors wipe their feet before entering).
Description of Work: Routine cleaning and maintenance of A/C and HVAC system for a 1 zone townhouse. Service included checking and topping off freon, inspecting for leaks, cleaning system (not ducts), checking returns for airflow, etc. Also looked at "excessive" condensation problem causing water to overrun basement area. Determined new condensate pump and line was needed. Rob responded within 1 hr. of initial call and was able to squeeze me in for same day service.
