In retrospect, I really hate it because it just basically shuts off the A/C entirely during certain peak hours of the day. They claimed it will save money on the monthly electric bill and it's not clear to me that it does that. It doesn't look like my bills are any better, it's just that it's hotter during the daytime. Last year, we wasted $100 for a visit because we thought the air conditioner wasn't working and really it was just that stupid thing from Pepco that shut it off for a period of time. So it's not working when that is happening and then when Pepco decides it's energy efficient enough to allow it to turn back on, then it turns back on. They don't charge you anything. In fact, with this particular thing, the first time, they give you $100 credit on your electric bill. That's the other incentive for installing it. You get a one-time credit and then in addition, it's supposed to be energy-saving but I don't see that. It's outside, so you're not even necessarily home. They just come and they put it on. So I didn't interact with them when they installed it. I regret getting it.
Description of Work: We got one of those things that is supposed to regulate the temperature for cost saving that Pepco offered and installed.

Pepco consistently under-performs and refuses to step up to the plate and take responsibility for their continued lack of planning. Any large company has a disaster recovery plan in place that covers large scale disasters. I think Pepco's disaster recovery plan goes something like this. Step One - Bury head in sand and see if problem resolves itselfStep two - Give long fix times as estimates so when we do resolve issues under that time we look goodStep three - Blame the tree cover and refuse to make the necessary infrastructure upgrades that are the real issue to save moneyStep four - After everything is up and running, pull out the same old speech about how Pepco is making improvements and that we may need to raise rates to make these improvementsStep five - Continue to make large campaign contributions to local politicians so that they don't force Pepco to improve its serviceStep six - Repeat as necessary I marked that I would use Pepco again in the future, only because Pepco is my only choice.
