Work went very well despite intermittent rain showers. Mr. Bandele provided careful supervision and training to his two assistants. Because of a delay at the nursery in picking up the plants (not their fault) the crew arrived later than they had planned, but stayed until the work was finished even though that was well after 6;00 PM. Every one had good work attitudes and clearly wanted to do a good job. I certainly intend to call on Mr. Bandele again for further work.

I think this was a tough job. The work was done quickly, efficiently and neatly, by a guy who clearly wants to do a good job and satisfy the customer.

The owner, Gabriel Bandele, performed emergency service during the winter storms when a large magnolia branch had fallen due to the weight of snow and taken out telephone lines and cables. He returned recently to perform additional work on the magnolia and remove another small tree and stump. Gabriel is an engaging and personable professional who clearly knows his business and has a strong interest in sustainable and environmentally sound practices. I recommend him without reservation.

One of five companies I contacted for this problem. I described the problem and the rep. told me he would call me back and take down my address and other info. I thought this was odd. Why couldn't he take it down just then? It didn't seem like he was on the road or anything. At any rate, he never called back.

Gabrielle responded himself within three hours of my call and completed the job without interfering with any of the undamaged phone and cable TV lines running through the fallen limb. As there is no rear access to my property, he had to remove the debris through my house and did so with extreme care. Finding a parking place for his truck and carting the limbs, branches, and magnolia leaves to his truck through the snow added to the difficulty of the job. I appreciated his attitude and his view that completing the work was a challenge to overcome. Overall, very nicely done.

It as smooth as silk...Gabriel called me back within 5 minutes of my leaving a message...set up a time for the next day, gave me a ball park estimate based on my description of the amount and types of materials that I wanted hauled...Gabriel kept me informed about their arrival time when they ran into unexpected traffic, so I wasn't wondering where they were...after seeing what needed to be done, Gabriel quoted me a price that was at the lower end of what he had estimated...the job was done quickly and neatly...Well done!

Overall, I really liked the fact that this contractor met me for a free estimate very quickly (same day as I called) and scheduled pretty much the same week, the weather got in the way a bit. But he was quick, professional and thorough. I would recommend him to anyone who has tree and landscaping questions, he provides very knowledgeable answers.

Overall, I could not have asked for a better crew. They performed the job beyond my expectations. They were very efficient. They also worked long hours and on weekends in order to get the work done on time. Also, the crew were very skilled in what they do. With respect to payments, all tranactions were done in writing and upfront with no surprises. They were very professional in every aspects. I would hire these guys again in a heart beat if I have to in the future.

I called Gabriel Bandele, the owner of New Life, on the Friday before Labor Day Weekend. He came by on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend and removed the dirt. It went great overall. His responsiveness, price, and willingness to come out quickly are why I recommend him, and would use him again.

On Saturday we had a major yard clean-up. We had a large amount of tree limbs and realized that we needed to have the debris hauled away. My husband spoke with Mr. Bandele on Saturday to see he could fit us in on his schedule Saturday, Mr. Brandele stated that he would not be able to come out on Saturday but would schedule us for Sunday. Mr. Brandele arrived at the time stated, charged on the lower end of his cost estimate, and as his company performs landscaping services, he performed a free assessment of the work needed in our yard. Mr. Brandele was both professional and knowledgeable. When performing the free yard assessment and price estimate, he provided information that would my husband and I would be able use to improve and maintain our yard. I will be calling Mr. Brandele in the spring to address get a formal assessment and price quote so that we can move forward with improving our yard.

This is a continuation of a job that started with hauling unwanted materials from a two car garage that was unusable because of accumulated stuff. The contractor discussed the next phase of clearing up the trees and yard with me and returned a week or so later to do the work. Gabriel Bandele is the business owner and he works along with his crew so have constant supervision. He fully understood what I was looking for in the job and delivered it at a very fair price. The job took two days and occupied the efforts of the owner and two helpers. They arrived in the late morning 10:45 am and worked until past 6:00 PM each day. I was present during most of the time they were here, and I was consulted from time to time as to my precise expectations. The whole project went very smoothly and I found them to be very comfortable to work with.

I sent an e-mail to Mr. Bandelle describing what I wanted hauled away. By telephone he gave me an estimate of the size of the dumpster that might be needed and a price, with the proviso that it might be more or less depending on his actually seeing what had to be taken away. He also told me that for hauling he requires payment in cash, not by check or credit card. I also told him that I was interested in some landscaping work and he said that we could discuss that when he did the hauling. We set a date and time for the work one week off. He arrived promptly with a helper and the helper loaded the dumpster while Mr. Bamdelle and I walked my property and he took noted and exchanged ideas with me. He then told me he would get back to me i a few days with a price for the landscaping. I paid him for the job( $275) which was considerably less that his original estimate. A few days later he called me with a price for the landscaping which was less that my gueesimate. I agreed for him to begin that work the next week. That has not yet taken place. I was very favorably impressed with Mr. Bandelle personally and with the way he approached my project. I fully expect that he will perform very well. Thus far I am very pleased to have found him.

They work quickly and in an efficient manner. He was very careful to explain exactly what they were going to do and made sure I understood. I was extremely pleased that the work only took three days to complete. While their hours seemed a bit strange (after lunch until dark), they gave full time to get the work done.

Gabriel responded promptly to the first call and made at least two visits to the property to analyze it before giving the estimate. He was always polite and professional, but also fun to talk to. The project took longer than expected because of heavy rains, but he always kept us apprised of his schedule. He wanted to know what our long-term vision was for the property and gave advice accordingly. He was always willing to answer questions about plants or trees (he is an arborist), and it is clear that he cares deeply about them. A couple of times that he was in the neighborhood he stopped by to check and water the newly planted trees. He gave detailed instructions on watering and mowing. He is a real pleasure to work with. I have already recommended him to neighbors who are also very pleased with his work.

This is the second time that I've used New Life Contracting and both times I've had a great experience. Gabriel was quick with his estimate, had a contract out to me to sign in a few days, and then we scheduled the work. Those early May torrential rains set us back a week, but as soon as the weather cleared, Gabriel picked up the materials (sod, topsoil, etc), got to work with two other workers, and completed the job in one day.

Considering that we had about two weeks of pretty much straight rain, other foibles with a separate company that was supposed to install a tree (separate report coming for that place), and issue with parking in front of our house, Gabriel was very patient and was able to work on the first day that was dry enough. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of plants and we would defer to him for all opinions.

The landscaper answered my calls in a timely manner. He was prompt in his appointments and worked very hard to meet the stated deadline. The plants are doing fine. I appreciated working with him. I have already referred him to someone.

Gabriele was extremely responsive and told me several things other services did not, especially with regards to weather, planting etc. I am definitely going to use him in the fall.

We have a small plot of land in front of our DC row house. After renovating the front entryway, our small plot was filled with bits of construction debris. This debris, in tandem with already poor soil quality (nothing planted in it would grow), led us to remove about 1.5 feet of the poor quality soil and replace it with high quality topsoil and leaf grow. We found Gabriel's ad on-line, and after I checked his stats on Angie's List, I gave him a call. Besides the excellent job he did in performing the work to our specifications, what I especially liked about Gabriel and his company was his professionalism and his above-and-beyond attitude. With respect to the former, he returned my calls promptly, provided an estimate the same day of my inquiry, sent the contract via e-mail a few days before the scheduled work date, and on the day of the work, called a few hours before his arrival to update me on when he would be coming by. As for his above-and-beyond job performance, Gabriel dug out more soil than I had asked, as he wanted to ensure that whatever we planted would have enough root space to grow properly. He also worked extremely fast (the whole job took no more than 3 hours) and he left the job site neat and tidy. We will be calling on Gabriel once again when we decide how we want to landscape the area.

Gabriel responded quickly from the beginning inquiry. Came out and walked and discussed at length what our goals were and then what he could offer, as well as other possibilities. Always polite, respectful, and never pushed but stayed in touch until we decided. Started the work exactly when he said, but weather kept interrupting the schedule. He always let us know exactly what the status was when delayed and why, and when he'd be able to continue. He did a lot more than was on the contract. He was a delight to work with, and he will be back in warmer weather to steam clean and re-stain the deck and front porch as well.

Everything went pretty smoothly and the price was fair. He charged $550 per load.
