Alex was a joy to work with. He responded quickly and had excellent follow through. He did such a great job repairing our roof and ceiling that we asked him to look at several other problems in our house and garage. One of our problems was a plumbing problem, and Alex had an excellent plumber come to our house right away to fix the problem. Two of the other problems were unidentified leaks, and Alex found the leaks and fixed them. His crew finished every job to a "good-as-new" state. Alex was frequently at the site, often into the evening, to make sure everything was completed properly. We especially appreciated that Alex had the quality resources and subcontractors to take care of anything we needed. It was wonderful to find someone who could fix the roof AND the interior drywall AND paint AND take care of plumbing problems without having to call four different people. We would definitely hire Alex and Lofft again and recommend them highly.

We were extremely pleased with the work. They finished on-time and were wonderful to work with. If we had questions or concerns, they were professional and addressed them immediately. We will have additional projects in the future and plan to give them a call again.

Luiz, purchased and delivered, fiberglass sheathed door at my specification. Materials were paid for separately from invoice. Luiz then installed the door and door jam also rebuilding the wood framing.

Overall the experience was excellent. Alex Sanguiennti, the project manager, was able to come to my condo for an estimate within a couple of days of my call. On a Friday I called back to accept the estimate. The following Monday he was back with his foreman to go over details. Tuesday, the work began, and by Wednesday it was completed. From initial phone call to completed work in just over a week! I couldn't have asked for any faster response than what I got. The men who performed the work did a great job. I was particularly impressed with how much care they took in protecting surfaces and fixtures, and in what a good job they did in cleaning up.

Alex promptly responded to my message and came to do an estimate. He was able to come the very next day when I called to set up an appointment. They were a little later than planned, however the work was excellent and done much quicker than expected. They were very friendly, professional, and easy to work with. Lofft Construction even gave us a bag of olive oil, mustards, and chutney.

Pretty well. They showed up on time and did the bulk of the work perfectly. There's no sign of the damage that the leak caused in the first place. They also finished a day ahead of schedule and seemed to work very hard. They left everything clean. We did have one small problem: our shower faucet was installed backwards so that the water came out cold when turned to hot (and vice versa). We didn't notice this at first and it did take two visits for them to straighten it out. In the meantime, it wasn't a big deal. But they did show up and did fix it. Overall, we're pretty happy. I'd give them an A- if the grade existed.

The installers did a fantastic job. They removed four layers of vinyl tile. The kitchen is small, approximately 55 sf. They installed 18" square tiles at a 45 degree angle to make the kitchen look bigger. We tightly estimated the amount of tile needed. They were able to scrape together pieces to continue the tile under the appliances that expose the floor and shim up those that do not. Everything is level and looks beautiful. Alex and his team were always on time. They did the job on short notice and at a reasonable price. We will keep them in mind for larger renovations.

Angie's List has a number of reports similar to mine, giving Lofft's Construction an F. I would not hire this company and of course would not recommend it.

I spoke with a member of their staff and explained what I was looking for, but there was no one in the office that could help me at that time. They said they would call me back, but I still haven't received a return phone call and am disappointed with the follow through.

They never showed up for the appointment. They never called before or afterwords to explain. They never responded to my follow up call (phone message) or email! They disappeared it seems from the planet.

The representative, Alex Sanguinetti, said he was interested in doing the work. The company had some other positive reviews on Angie's List. I was interested in using the Lofft. Unfortunately, the representative repeatedly failed to get answers or provide samples as promised. Sometimes he had excuses, and sometimes he did not. In the end I decided he was unreliable and that I did not want to trust him with the job. I went with another company.

When Alex called me the first time, he said he'd be at my house at noon. I was there he was not. He called me a bit later, said he would be there at 1 p.m., I was there he was not, I left at 1:30 p.m. He called at 1:40 pm, to tell me that he was at my house. Why do tradesmen, think it is okay to show up late ?

I called a third time and said that if they didn't want to deal with me they could have given me the courtesy of a "no."

I sent an e-mail with phone numbers to set up an appointment for an estimate. I also had called and left a voice message. Instead of calling me as requested, Alex Sanguinetti e-mailed me asking when would be a good time to come over. I e-mailed again asking him to call me as there were 2 days in which I could schedule something. He's never called as requested to schedule an appointment or even confirm options I had provided. At this point, I'm not interested in getting an estimate. If a contractor can't call as requested just for an estimate, then I have little confidence in their work or follow-through with the customer.

Called and spoke with receptionist. Left name and number for a call back to set an appointment to get an estimate. Never received call back.

I called and left several messages to have someone contact me about getting an estimate on several tile jobs. Calls were not returned.

Work was not performed. I called and was told someone would get back to me. No one did. I called again and asked if the job was too small. I was assured someone would call me back. No one did. I will not call them when I DO have a big enough job and will not recommend them for others. How long does a one-minute call take.

I called Lofft Construction Inc. on a Tuesday to schedule an appointment for an estimate on installing countertops and opening up my galley style kitchen. They said somebody would get back to me in the next 30 minutes. I did not hear back from then until the following day around 7pm. I set up a Saturday appointment with Louise. He showed up on time but barely took any countertop measurements or asked much about the work I wanted done. In total the appointment took 5 minutes. Louise told me that Alex would e-mail me with the estimate details. I have yet to hear back from them (It has almost been two weeks) and I have even called and inquired about the estimate. I will not use them to do work in my house. If they can not come through with an estimate, how will it be when it is time to do the actually work.

As general contractor, Alex brought in different tradesmen to do the jobs. He obtained quotes from different tradesmen for each task based on our requirements, and selected them carefully based on his own experience and on price. Once he brought them in, he managed the job from beginning to end, sequencing the tasks in order to minimize delays. Alex ran into several problems caused by previous contractors (failure to obtain proper permits, poorly executed work which had to be redone) and resolved all problems without inconveniencing me. Alex was very responsive and took responsibility for his subcontractors' work. He always ensured that the quality of their work was acceptable to me, and where necessary ensured that the subcontractors made modifications or re-work requested by me, without charging extra. When he went on vacation, he left me his foreman's phone number as well as his e-mail address in case I had any problems. A problem came up, and his foreman responded right away.

Alex and his workers are absolutely first rate. Perhaps the best in the business. Alex supervised the work and continuously checked with my wife and me if we were satisfied with the progress. Last minute changes we made were no problem. Alex got two estimates for unexpected HVAC work (wise move on his part). Readily accepted coupon on Angie's List. Finished work on time as promised. I was very pleased. I sent an e-mail after 10:00 p.m. on a Saturday night, received a reply e-mail Sunday morning and the work was performed Tuesday. The company actually offered to come on Monday, but I was unavailable until Tuesday.

I was very disappointed in Loft's responsiveness and punctuality. I called to set up an appointment for an estimate. Loft called back, we set up a meeting for the next day. Loft gave me a two hour window and by the second hour they were a no call no show. I called and after three hours of waiting someone showed. The guys were friendly, we discussed the work I was hiring for. They said I would receive an estimate in one to two business days. Its a week later, again no phone call and no price quote. Not a good first impression when your looking for dependable reliable contractors to work on your home. Sounds to me like a company that may leave you hanging with a half finished project.

Jeph recommended a discount floor tile Internet sales center from which I purchased and had delivered the Pergo floor tile. Jeph was available for frequent consultation. This consultation allowed for my input in the design process. Jeph tailored the construction to allow for painting. Through his skillful use of time management and customer service I was able to reconstruct my finished basement better than it was before and at a reasonable price.

They are extremely fair and professional with high standards for their work. They will do small and large jobs and are very receptive to doing jobs with small or large scope of work.

Overall it went really well, and very smoothly. We presented Lofft with our plan to completely renovate our 1952 kitchen, replacing everything and removing part of the wall dividing the kitchen and dining room. The owner Alex was so accommodating and put us at ease immediately about the project (our first of this scale), and our contract included a pleasantly short time frame for completion. The owner Alex has high quality control and standards, and is very accommodating and flexible with clients, and definitely personable. We felt very comfortable with his team of workers, who are polite, professional, and conscientious (they put up with our barking Sheltie too).
