Scheduled an appointment for my day off work. An hour after the scheduled time, received a phone call saying they knew I was waiting for someone to come but they would have to "cancel the appointment. An emergency has come up and they could not reschedule." No other explanation was offered. I repeatedly asked about "not rescheduling" and that is all they would say.

We set up an appointment with Lofft for an estimate on work to be performed in our house. Unfortunately, after waiting on them one Saturday morning, we were notified after the two hour window that they could not come. We were told that they didn't have the proper specialist lined up and so wanted to reschedule. Upon asking whether they could come later that day, we were told YES, and that they would call us back to let us know what time. We never received a return phone call. Obviously, this company did not want our business. Two thumbs down for Lofft Construction.

I was attempting to purchase an abandoned, rundown house. I asked Alex to do an estimate on it so that I could figure out how much to offer the seller. The house needed to be completely gutted, because of extensive water damage and mold. I also wanted to build an addition atop the existing roof to improve the awkward floor plan. Alex arrived for our scheduled appointment and did a thorough evaluation of the property. After a week and a few anxious calls to him, I received a very fair estimate of $100,000 for the total job. He seemed very knowledgeable during the walk-through of the house. I would definitely call him again. I did not get to use his services this time because someone out bid me on the house.

Waste of my precious time! We contacted them saying remodeling work was required. The estimator arrived late. We described work and available funding. He briefly looked at bathroom. When we went to look at remodeling work he said he couldn't estimate the work because he needed "an engineer."(?) So he said he'd call later to reschedule. Three days later the firm called to say they weren't interested and that they couldn't do work with my budget. THey didn't do an estimate, so how did they arrive at that???? What a waste - we had that feeling. We have three top-recommended remodelers who found a way to produce the majority of our work. Not Loffts though. What a waste of precious time.

Excellent work. Lofft reviewed our plan in detail, provided suggestions and gave a competitive bid (I got 3 quotes.) Luis and Diego were the primary on site personnel and they are craftsmen providing status, recommendations, and suggestions daily. Task was completed per contract (30 calendar days) and they provided excellent support correcting a few minor items. We are very impressed with their attention to detail. We used Kraftmaid cabinets and required modifications to customize doors for an old pantry, accommodate air conditioner under cabinet venting, add support for Apron Sink, and customize a spice rack Lofft performed these all with ease.

I wanted to repair the damage, but didn't want to rebuild the wall to the garage. Alex recommended me to a structural engineer who was able to design another solution. (3) Crew finished the job in three work days. Two days sooner than expected. Alex was great to work with, very accommodating and helpful. Always answered his calls or returned them quickly. I would hire them again in a second.

Luis and Diego were the main workers on the job with one helper. They were extremely polite and kept me in the loop on the status of the work as it progressed. It took 2 weeks to complete, which was in line with the initial estimate. I think it could have been done faster, but Luis and Diego were not at the job site together 100% of the time--they seemed to have other jobs they were finishing at the same time as mine. They requested that we obtain the Fairfax County permit for the work. No issues were noted in the inspection. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with the finished product. We discovered a chip in the floor tile after they left, but they came back to fix it within three days.

We are very pleased with LOFFT Construction and look forward to rehiring them for additional remodeling work in the future. Alex responded quickly to our initial inquiry. He conducted a walk through and provided an in-depth estimate. The crew reported for work at the scheduled time and were diligent, skilled, polite and consistent. They solved problems as they arose and kept us informed about the progress of their work. It was clear that they took pride in their work and in meeting the expectations of their customers. We found them to be reliable, responsive and professional. Given past bad contracting experiences, we were reluctant to get this work done until we really had to. Hiring LOFFT Construction was a real success story!

They were quick and very efficient and did a beautiful job. They cleaned up all their mess and even followed up with me later. They were great and very caring. The way that they treated me really showed me that they really value their customers.

Andreas from Lofft was very professional from beginning to end. The workmanship was good and solid. They could have done a little better on certain parts of the window frames, but they got the job done on a very tight time-frame and on budget. The house was cleaner when they left than when they came. I'd definitely recommend them and use them again.

Amazing! I was traveling in the South Pacific with limited access to phone/email when my tenant emailed to tell me the AC wasn't working. I emailed Alex and he sent someone the next day (it might even have been the same day). The system was repaired, and my tenants were very happy. They even dealt very easily with getting the keys to the roof from the property management company located a couple blocks away. I've had many experiences when I was in town and called other contractors who have not had availability, or charged extra, because it was a "heat wave". Lofft's service was such a relief for me especially since I travel often.

After the great write-ups here on AL, I'd such high hopes; how unfortunate that my experience is a huge disappointment. I waited in vain for an estimate on several projects I need to have done. Finally, over an hour later (after calling them) I got a call from Alex informing me that that they had 15 other jobs, that my appointment was an inconvenience (a mistake by the office), and that he was (clearly reluctantly) "taking time from his personal life" to come to my home. I obliged him by canceling the appointment. Just say no to this ungracious company or invite the trouble that will inevitably come along with the poor attitude displayed today.

Alex responded promptly with an estimate and the company began the work within a week. The work was completed in one day but sand and prime was done two days later which allowed plaster to dry. The work was done very well!!

FROM THE MOMENT ALEX CAME TO MY HOME, ON TIME, HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO. HE TOOK COMPLETE CONTROL OF WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, AND HOW TO MAKE IT HAPPEN AND QUICKLY AND AS PROFESSIONALLY AS POSSIBLE. THOUGH THERE WAS A BIT OF A MIX UP ON THE FLOOR MATERIAL SELECTION, IT WAS IMMEDIATELY RECTIFIED. HE IS A TRUE PROFESSIONAL. HE HAS A FANTASTIC EYE AND WONDERFUL SENSE OF HOW TO COMPLETE JOB WHILE WORKING WITH ONES SCHEDULE. AND HIS CREW IS PROMPT, NEAT, FRIENDLY AND EXCELLENT. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, AND ALWAYS WORKED WITH ME TO MAKE SURE I WAS HAPPY. AS ALEX SAID, THEY ARE WORKING FOR ME, AND WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT I WAS HAPPY EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.

Alex was very responsive to my calls and was professional and informative in scoping the work and describing the tasks. Work crew was punctual and kept me informed as to progress. They were easy to work with and did a good cleanup each day. This was important because they were working in several rooms in the house and we wanted to minimize disruptions to the household. The crew was attentive and assisted me in making decisions by providing detailed explanations of any options or decisions we had to make. The finish work is noteworthy; there is no evidence of the numerous holes in my ceilings and walls required to accomplish this work. They started this work early and finished early. We highly recommended Lofft and we are considering them for further, larger projects.

Alex Sanguinetti, the Project Manager, missed our initial appointment, but he gave us a discount on the work because of that. The work began on time and proceeded pretty much according to schedule because they had another job after ours. They missed some spots on the painting, and we could tell in some areas that they only applied one coat of paint, however, these areas were not extensive, and we were able to complete the painting on these areas with little difficulty. One of the electrical outlets was damaged during the work, but they brought in an electrician to replace it. The electrical work was very satisfactory. The repair to the drywall was excellent. It was so smooth, it looked seamless. Lofft Construction offered carpeting that was decent and reasonably priced. Our only serious issue with their work was that they painted over our electrical outlets, requiring us to replace several of them.

We have used Alex and the gang before for tiling work for our kitchen. He was very prompt in responding to our new job. The gang was very professional. They worked with our schedule to get the work done. They were flexible in changes we wanted - we added re-tiling of the second job while they were working on the first one. The work was done within the time estimated and at the price quoted. We would use Lofft for a third time if sometime comes up.

I had three estimates for the effort. The estimate from Lofft was three times the other two estimates. I had the work done by another company at one third of the cost and was very satisfied.

The project manager gave of very thorough assessment of what work needed to be done, suggesting improvements to preserve the character of original home features. In so doing he went out of his way to locate and install a replacement bathroom tile from another home built in 1940 which was being renovated. Estimates for work were very reasonable. The project manager also inspected each phase of the work and sought feedback regarding customer satisfaction. The quality of the decorating and repairs was excellent. The work was completed in a timely manner. The one difficulty experienced was that as the company was extremely busy with multiple projects in the early summer season, the work crew did not always come as scheduled, and took longer to complete the job than originally planned, sometimes staying into the evening and weekend hours. We would use this contractor for multiple household needs in the future. Excellent quality work and reasonable!

They arrived on time, very honest, free estimate, did great work, and I am using them again for multiple jobs. I highly recommend them for any repair.

Called twice to request estimates, once for siding repair and once for the repair work and deck reconstruction. He called back to say he would come by and do estimates, but he never did.

After emailing the company, it took them about 2 weeks to respond. When they did they came out promptly. The work was scheduled for the following week, 2 days. First day to install the new drywall piece and let it dry. The second day, smooth out the edges of the new drywall piece. What actually happened was they came around 8 AM and did it all in one day. I was told they would be finished by 10:30 am and the supervisor would be in touch with me. It took until 12:30 pm to finish the job because of the drying time between sandings, what normally would take the 2 days. Once completed, I waited for the supervisor to call back which occurred around 3 PM.

Ridiculous. The representative did not show up on the day he was supposed to come for an estimate (although I took the morning off work to wait for him). He was easy to reach and apologized, and came the next day (a Saturday); then he said another person would come on Tuesday to take an actual measurement and turn in an estimate "next Friday" by email. The email never came! I called, and he said they were busy but the estimate would come Tuesday. No estimate. Called again and was told it would come "by Thursday." Again, nothing. This negligence and lack of responsiveness has held up our decision making process by 2-3 weeks. We never have seen a single estimate. Obviously we've ruled them out as completely unreliable.

We were very disappointed in Lofft Construction's responsiveness. We called them three times: we spoke to Alex once and left messages with the front office twice. We have a number of projects that we need done at our home, and we hoped to give all the projects to the same construction company. Despite a promise from Alex and assurances from the ladies in the office, even after three calls stretched over more than a week no one would call us back to even schedule a visit to give us estimates. We had seen Lofft on Angie's List, so we were quite disappointed that it appears that they no longer have time to even consider new work or new customers. We will be looking for other companies on Angie's List who are more interested in new business.

I called and emailed the company after seeing all the good reviews. After calling them several times I scheduled a time for an estimate. They never showed up or bothered to call to say they couldn't come. In fact, I have yet to hear from them.
