The experience went very well. It was a small job and many other contractors were un willing to do. However, they worked well with us and were quite helpful.

This is the second time I have used Lofft Services. A few years ago they were referred to me from another Angie's List provider and they came in to finish up a complete first floor renovation that had been botched by a previous contractor. They were reasonably priced and their work was excellent, and most importantly, they were dependable.So when I needed work done on a rental property, I immediately contact them. Lofft Construction provided me with a number of services. They repaired a roof that had been leaking badly and gave me a price well under other estimates. They installed a privacy fence, and also performed a number of handyman services, such as repairing some concrete work, installing some duct work and repairing some plumbing. They did the work quickly with no interference to the tenants. Since I have now used them twice, I feel confident that I can go to them for any future needs, whether it is for my own personal home or my rental property. Their work on my rental property was just as high quality as if it were for my own home. They give excellent service and are reliable and dependable.

The person who I contacted for an estimate at 12:30 called and said he would be late. When he came and looked at what I wanted done in the basement. He told me that I was wasting his time. I specifically said to the person who answered the phone what I wanted done. When the person called to say he was running late I told him that I wanted the a ceiling in my basement, I hid nothing.

Not much to add. The estimate went well. Nice and quick and thorough.

On March 1, I contacted Lofft for a master bathroom remodel, as well as to have ceramic tile placed in our kitchen, and 2 remaining bathrooms. I emailed them photos and measurements of the areas we would remodel, so that they could do an estimate. I did not hear back from them for a week, so I sent out another email. A representative from Lofft telephoned me on March 9, stating that one of the owners of Lofft would be telephoning me for details and to set up an appointment. I never heard from this person. On March 15, the same representative telephoned me and stated that they would not be able to do even an estimate for another 2-3 weeks. Overall a frustrating experience, but the rep who called me on both occasions was pleasant to deal with.

Delightfully surprised at the experience. First experience at renovation dreaded. They were professional, responsive, hard working, pleasant and detailed.

The work was actually performed by a subcontractor. At the contract signing, this was not made clear to me. Throughout the project, there were late arrivals by the workers, communication challenges at times because one the workers did not speak English, and issues between sub and Lofft that at times caused work stoppages. The job took three times as long to complete but the quality of the work was superb. I continue to get compliments on the work performed by the subcontractor.

Did not return my phone call which repeated twice on their voice mail.

Used them to completely gut and remodel the kitchen -- overall a great experience and a very nice finished product and would recommend them again . used them 3 times before and very similar experiences. 1. got the work done on time 2. high quality materials 3. attention to details (joints looks clean, painting is uniform, everything is aligned)4. very clean 5. worked upfront to help design 6. communicates often Overall would use them again and recommend them with no reservations

Alex and his crew did a wonderful job updating my old kitchen. I met with Alex several times to finalize the plans and budget, and choose flooring, cabinets, countertops. I trusted the crew, lead by Manuel, to come and do the renovation while I was out of town for a week. They had the key to my house and free range !! I came home to find the project on schedule and nearly finished. All the work was very professional and well executed. They had to move my appliances to the living-room and had put down some tarp to protect the floors and keep the other areas as clean as possible. When they went to install the new sink, some of the old plumbing did not connect properly. Manuel did a great job rerouting the pipes to make it all fit ! Manuel noticed a small leak while reconnecting my old dishwasher. Since it was an old dishwasher (over 15 years), I decided that it would be better to get a new one. Manuel agreed to remove the old one he had just reinstalled and said he would come back to install the new one for me once I purchased it. Once the floors, cabinets, countertops, sink were installed, Manuel and his crew repainted the kitchen and installed a new over-the-range microwave. They cleaned up and hauled away any debris that was left. Manuel told me to take the next few days to review the kitchen and let them know if anything needed a touch-up. Manuel came back as promised to install the new dishwasher for me and he repainted a few areas that needed minor touch-up. Alex also came by to inspect the work and make sure I was happy with everything. I called Alex a few days later to inform him that some of the cabinet doors did not close properly. After a few scheduling issues, Manuel came by to fix the doors as promised. I highly recommend Alex and Lofft Construction. Manuel and his crew did a wonderful job and I am very happy with the result.

We found the company through a Groupon. The initial consultation went pretty well, and we made it clear we wanted granite countertops and a mid-range level of cabinets. We signed the initial contract, then ended up expanding the project to take out a window and install sliding glass doors, which led to needing new siding. We also expanded the project by adding the installation of skylights. The work crews were fantastic and very skilled. It was a pleasure to have the team of Erick and Gaston at the house, and I learned a lot from watching them work. They tore open the walls and ceiling, installed the new skylights, door and window, put in a lovely new tile floor, and installed the cabinets. Enrique did a great job with the dry wall both where we closed in a door and around the skylight well - the final product looked like it came out of a magazine. Antonio the electrician came in at the end and got all of the electrical stuff working. Luis was the project manager and made a point to check in frequently and make sure things were going smoothly every day. My only complaint with the whole process had to do with the contract: it said there was an allowance for cabinets, countertops and a tile floor. It ended up that the amount allocated did not even cover the cost of the cabinets despite the fact that in the initial consultation it was clearly stated that we wanted granite countertops and the mid-level cabinets. When it came down to it, we bought the tile and the granite elsewhere, along with the skylights, light fixtures and sink, disposal and faucet,. I would hire them again because I was impressed with the quality of their crew and the crew's workmanship, though I was very disappointed in the fact that the quote was so far under actual expenses.

Miguel did a great job prepping all of the surfaces (they needed a lot of prep work) and painting. He worked full days, communicated a work schedule, and cleaned up after all work. He even went out of his way to charm our dog and even more importantly, keep the gates closed. We definitely recommend Miguel and Lofft, and we're trying to think of different ways to use them again.

Generally excellent. One piece of the wall broke (by accident) the glass surface of the stove top. So they paid to replace it with no questions asked. Responsive to very detailed requests, easily able to add bits and pieces to the job and get good quotes to be clear on additional costs. Generally clean, efficient, timely with work. Very reasonable price.

They do an excellent job. We are very happy with their job. I would use them in the future.

We were very, very pleased with them. They did a super job. We were really, really pleased with the architect that they brought in. We were really pleased with the day to day management of the work. There was a manager who came by every day and checked on the workers who were doing the construction. All the workers were Hispanic and the manager was Hispanic also, but the workers couldn’t speak English. He came by and interacted with us. The work that was done was excellent and the management of the work being done was also excellent. It’s one of the reasons that I’m still happy with Angie’s List and what I keep telling people about Angie’s List is that, I would not hire anybody in this area if they are not on Angie’s List. One of the other reasons why we chose to use them was that the person who was in charge of the management lives about a mile from my mother and I knew that he probably would not do a bad job because he’s in the neighborhood. He works where he lives and shows good quality. I thought that my mother just wanted a sunroom, but she turned out to have a major extension of her house. We would use them again in the future if need be.

Lofft Construction had a fair price, and did good quality work. I initially hired them to do kitchen, and added two more components because I was pleased with their work.

We selected Lofft from a total of four contractors that we interviewed. We met with Alex on a couple of occasions to review the work that we wanted done and hi came back with a proposal within a day or two of our first meeting. His proposal was not the lowest cost, but he clearly understood what we wanted done, was very knowledgeable in the field, and gave us his personal assurance that the projects would be completed in time for our hard deadline (we needed to move in the house 4 weeks from the project?s start date). Once we agreed on the scope of work and the charges, Alex and his team got to work right away, doing preliminary demolition, while permits were being furnished and architectural drawings were turned into construction blueprints. Alex was personally involved throughout the project and offered a number of alternatives to help us stay within budget when our selections for materials and finishes were putting us above our project budget. I found Alex very responsive to our needs and when the plan had to be inverted or change to keep the project?s momentum, he was there to make things happen. The Lofft crew assigned to our project was primarily Eric, Gaston, and Enrique. While some work was sub-contracted, these folks were on the job day in and day out. Eric acted as crew chief and was always very professional, erring on the side of caution and consulting with me whenever there were doubts about the project or when the inevitable surprises of a construction project arose (BTW if you are thinking tile work?Eric is the guy want at your house as he is truly outstaning on this). Eric, Gaston, and Enrique worked well together and were very professional about their work (they obviously have pride in what they do!) As the hard deadline was approaching, the crew worked tirelessly to have all work completed (very minor things were not completed by the time we moved in). They were also extra careful and protected finished surfaces from damage while they were still working on other sub-projects. I give this crew and A+ and highly recommend them if you decide to chose Lofft for your project. As with many construction projects, one of the sub-contractors mis-understood what was required and placed a rather ugly bathroom vent right in the middle of the side of the roof that faces the street. I contacted Alex about this error and he had it remediated within a day of me telling him (the vent was moved to the back side of the house and the roof was repaired). Once the work was completed, we conducted a detailed walkthrough with Alex and created a ?punch? list with minor items that required fixing (mostly paint touch-ups, a few dents in the walls, or popped drywall nails) prior to us getting invoiced for the final 10% of the project. Alex and his crew went above and beyond in my opinion and have earned my respect. We didn?t have much interaction with the office staff, but Martha was very pleasant and was on top of things such as materials delivery and other logistics. I have no hesitation in recommending Lofft (and the crew that work on our projects in particular) to anyone that is embarking on projects similar to the ones we contracted them to do. I also offered Alex to serve as a reference for his work - which is not something I usually do.

This is the second time I used Lofft services, and I will use it and recommend it in the future. Alex was great, really easy to talk to, very professional and the overall quality / price was excellent. They did the job within the time estimated and they even adapted to last minutes changes and additions to the initial scope. They took special care to details and they were always very responsive to my concerns. All in all, I am very pleased with the quality of work, the level of accommodation to my requests, the care taken to be neat, and the finish work.

The job went extremely well. Alex's team was prompt, professional, and hardworking. They finished the job within the estimated time. The bottom line is, I'm extremely pleased with the results and the quality of work is excellent. As previously stated, this is my third tirme hiring Alex to perform work on my house - I trust his work product. He stands by his word and will make things right. I look forward to working with him in the future as I continue to improve my historic row house.

The service was good. The job got done and it was what I wanted. There was a little quibbling with prices and things; but it looks nice. I will not use them again.

The bathroom is in a one-bedroom (one bath) condominium. So we had to move out for the project. The estimate was three weeks. It took much longer. However, there were several issues that arose once the project got underway. The contractor had to work within the limited hours set by the building and they couldn't bring in a dumpster. So hauling away the trash was a a major challenge. During demolition, they discovered there was no structural support on an outside wall! Just some concrete blocks and plaster standing between the bathroom and a five-story plunge to the ground. So they had to figure out a way to install structural beams and that had to be approved by the condo. Another issue: shut-off valves had to be installed (more negotiations with the condo). There were no other major problems. A condo corridor wall (abutting the bathroom) was damaged during the demolition, but the wall had moisture trapped inside and had been poorly repaired at some point. So we worked out that issue with the condominium. A welcome surprise -- a few more inches of space was discovered during demolition and incorporated in the closet layout. We worked out the contract in detail before the project began. That was tremendously helpful because it set the stage for a great working relationship. The expectations were clear on both sides. There were no hidden costs and everything was by the book (or code). A few positives that I can't stress enough: all of the workers were courteous, did their best to stay within the "construction" area, and showed up when promised. Alex was extremely accessible. He knows how to pick up the phone, as well as email. When there were questions or issues that had to be discussed, it was easy to reach him. There was never the drama of a disappearing contractor. Another intangible plus -- his team excelled at creative problem-solving. We really wanted an apron-front on the tub that would match the cabinets; Erick figured out a way to do the installation that not only saved the design plans but enhanced it. Another last-minute add was to install speakers in the bathroom. The way they wired the speakers - and the entire bathroom - was incredible. They pulled wires through the entire apartment and closed up everything seamlessly. The contractors took care to do quality work. We did not find careless errors. The only disappointment was the radiant heat flooring. They system installed does not warm the floors as expected. We're told that it's the type of system. If you plan to install under floor heating, you should do a lot of homework and would recommend you check out someone's bathroom that is pleased with the results. Not sure how to upload pictures on this website. If you want to see the before and after shots, check with Lofft Construction. We are willing to be contacted as a reference. We would definitely use them again and plan to do so on our next renovation project.

Overall, I was impressed with Lofft Construction Inc.'s image from start to finish. All-in-all they did a terrific job!. The painting was accurate and done with good quality strokes and alignment. The painting was complete. Every window, door, even drain spout was remembered.

Everything Lofft has done has failed, including their rework. The roof continues to leak and they complained that they don't normally do roofing work. The heated tile floor has failed through two repairs and they have also complained that they don't normally do heated tiles (they did when they were bidding). They are very slow to return for repairs and we're cutting our losses at this point.

Lofft did an excellent job. They began work promptly, and provided suggestions to simplify the job and improve the final result. They completed the initial work in less than 4 days, and once all materials arrived completed the remainder in 2 days. Workmanship has been of high quality, with no follow-on problems in the plumbing or electrical work.
