Description of Work: They responded very quickly & gave me a very competitive written estimate immediately after inspecting the work that needed to be done. I went with another company because of additional work they can do at the same time. I will call JHI again.

Description of Work: JHI repaired my concrete front entrance steps. Two of my steps were crumbling due to the recent weather- and to using salt rock which I now know is a big no-no. JHI came to my property to do an assessment very quickly- I think it was the same day. They were very professional and made sure they waited until the weather was warm enough to complete the job. While we waited for the perfect day, JHI made regular calls to stay in touch and let me know which day would work best. I wasn't required to be home when the repairs were made and JHI called me several times to let me know how the repair was going, and to let me know when it was complete- very attentive! I was very satisfied with the results and certainly would refer them to friends and hire them for future work. I also received a $50.00 discount because I found them on Angie's List, bringing my total cost to $800.00.

Description of Work: I provide the name of this company to my daughter because of the good reviews on this site about JHI Contracting. She contacted this company to schedule an estimate for tuck pointing to a stone patio and was called back promptly with an appointment scheduled for approximately one week later on 3/19. On the evening before he/the owner was scheduled to come out for the estimate, he called and stated that he would not be able to come out to do the estimate or the job because he just accepted another large contract. I would have expected that given that he scheduled this estimate, he would have followed through and minimally would have told her that if she wanted to hire his company to do the job that they would not be able to start the job until a future date when the big contract was completed. Instead, he referred her to another person (not list on Angie's List) who quoted a rather high estimate. I am very disappointed with the follow through of this company.
