I received the appliance, followed the instructions and have had issues with the appliance from day one. In a number of attempts to call Best Buy to ask for help, I keep getting the run-around from customer service. In trying to deal with the Honeywell sales representative (Kaz, Inc.) I can not get any direct answers. The instructions posted on line by Best Buy and those printed in the operating manual are incomplete. Plus due spelling problems with my Best Buy account (mis-spelling) I miss out on coupons and deals and trying to get this corrected is no longer worth my time and energy - dealing with Best Buy Customer Service. My advise is to don't buy anything from Best Buy on line - go to a store. This is a good example of how not to offer customer service.
Description of Work: Provider sold me a Honeywell Cool Moisture Humidifier - on line and shipped it to me at my home address.

I bought no less than 5 cell phones with extended service contracts. I was talked into these contracts by the sales associates in the cell phone dept. One benefit they told me about was the phone would be fixed or exchanged for water damage. They have replaced my son’s phone twice due to water damage no questions asked. Recently I tried to take my phone in due to water damage & was told no it would not be covered. Even after explaining about my son’s phone being covered I was denied service. When I explained this to the manager at first she agreed with me. Then she stepped in the back to talk to the Geek helping me. She returned to tells me it would not be covered. On my way out of the store I stopped by the cell phone area & let the people there know about water damage not being covered. The Best Buy sales associates disagreed with me but I told them management just told me water damage will not be covered. They argued with me I assume because they will continue to sell it that way. When replacing my son’s phone not once but twice but twice they set a precedent & should not change their level of service. This is like a car dealer selling you a car with a maintenance contract & for 2 yrs worth of oil changes but after 2 oil changes they tell you oil changes will not be covered. I’m canceling all my service contracts with Best Buy it totals about $2,000 & will not be shopping there again.

See above. One recommendation: getting a better phone system in which a customer can easily access a real person.
Description of Work: After 3 months of use, a Samsung TV I purchased from Best Buy broke down, with a double picture and a green line at the bottom. I returned it to Best Buy and Geek Squad desk. I was told I was no longer covered by the warranty and that the TV had to be sent to the manufacturer and would be back in two weeks. One thing after the other delayed return. I called several times and was not able to speak to a real human being at Geek Squad. Finally, I went to see them and it took over an hour for them to track the TV and find out when delivery was expected. The service people were courteous, but their communications system is frustratingly out of date, not responsive to customers, and insensitive to their needs. The TV was finally returned about 4 weeks after I had left it with them and it was fixed. There was no charge, but I had requested a new TV, not a repaired one, since it malfunctioned after only three months use (that could only be done under the warranty - 30 days). Best Buy passed the buck to the manufacturer and the Geek Squad service people felt no responsibility or obligation on their part to be responsive to the customer since it was ""out of their hands." At the very least, since I purchased the product there, they could have communicated more with me.

The store had a variety of models. I had not purchased a new home phone in years so it was a big deal for me. The store reps were helpful. Took the phone and set it up; however, one handset would not work no matter what base I put it on. I took that handset back since I had purchased a warranty. It seems I never put a battery in that one. It works fine now.
Description of Work: Purchased a wireless telephone with four handsets and an answering service built in.

It was a good experience and I feel confident about the purchase I had made. They were very helpful and offered us a six-month free of interest with the purchase. I would return to their store and purchase appliances them again. I might also consider other brands.
Description of Work: They sold us and installed a Whirlpool stove and microwave from them.

I AM VERY HAPPY WITH BEST BUY SERVICES. THEY CAME OUT WITH IN 24 HOURS OF CALLING THEM. I USE THEM FOR ALL MY COMPUTER REPAIR SERVICES. THEY ALSO REPAIRED A MODEM IN THE PAST.

WE HAVE ALWAYS LIKED BEST BUY BECAUSE OF THEIR EXCELLENT SERVICE, AND THEY AGAIN MEET OUR EXPECTATIONS THIS TIME. WE WERE IN A HURRY, SINCE WE WERE LEAVING ON A TRIP AND NEEDED THE COMPUTER TO FINISH BOOKING SOME LAST MINUTE THINGS BEFORE WE LEFT. THE BEST BUY EMPLOYEES WHO HELPED US FIND WHAT HARDWARE WE NEEDED WERE VERY HELPFUL AND KNOWLEGEABLE, AND THE GEEK SQUAD AGENT WHO ACTUALLY FIXED THE COMPUTER AND INSTALLED THE NEW COMPONENETS ANSWERED ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS. THE PRICE, SINCE SOME OF THE ITEMS WERE UNDER WARRANTY, AND ON SALE, WAS VERY GOOD. OVERALL, WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH EVERYTHING.
