G & G Roofing

G & G roofing did a great job installing a new roof. We knew that we had a problem when there was water damage on our ceiling. George Martin from G &G came out promptly and provided me quotes for two different options: a less expensive patch up job that would last a couple years or a new roof that would last 20 years and cost more up front but save more money in the long term. I appreciated the information to be able to make a decision that fit my budget and needs. In the end, George and his team installed a new roof and got it done in just one day. The communication and professionalism was excellent throughout the process.

I spoke to George and he sent out Sebastian to check out my flat roof. They talked and George determined that my previous roofer had used an inappropriate coating that was causing problems. George sent me his estimate, and I agreed to the work. The team came out a few days later and took care of all the issues and relocated the roof.

I can't say enough about how great G&G Roofing was to work with. I called George on a Friday to see if he could give me an estimate. He came by later that same day and provided a fair estimate. The following Monday he and his crew completed all of the work. George was extremely helpful and honest regarding the condition of my roof and the work that needed to be done. Furthermore, he was easily available at all times during the process to answer questions and explain what needed to be done. I highly recommend G&G Roofing and plan on using them for any and all roof projects I have in the future.

G&G Roofing came to my rescue after other roofers failed to complete the job and/or didn't show up to do the job they said they would. George was very punctual and very communicative when showing up to provide me with an estimate. He was extremely honest and detailed with the information he provided regarding the damage to my roof. Although I may not be a roof expert, he explained in a way I could understand and was very clear. That was appreciated. On the day in which he planned to do the job, he showed up with his crew and wasted no time in completing the task in ample time. He provided me with pictures every step of the way and the final touch. My roof looks great and I could never have made a better decision. If only I would've reached out to George earlier, I would've save a lot of time. I thank George and his crew for raising the bar in professionalism.

George was very responsive, and patient with my various questions and call backs even when it likely didn't seem that I was going to work with him. George answered all of my questions honestly. He seems to only take on work, and to do work in a way that will be done right. When I asked about installing a skylight that opens, he said they haven't found a good one that is free of leaks so they only install skylights that don't open, but I should try another contractor if I'd like that. George was prompt and the quality of work seems great.

It went well. Mis-estimation ofcsize if job led to some delay of completion, but team was very helpful and willing to do some side jobs.

I was experiencing leaking from my roof that was causing water damage in my home. When I called G & G, they responded before any of the other providers and provided a prompt response and reasonable price. Once the service was complete, they provided me with photos of their work. I have not had any other issues since then. The only recommendation I have is that they take credit cards even if they at means they charge an additional fee.

George Martin, of G & G Home Improvements, examined the roof, took photos, and explained in detail the proposed action plan. I was impressed with his wealth of knowledge. He clearly described his approach to the job, as I asked many questions. After comparing G & G's estimate and photos with those from another company, I hired G & G. They were prompt, professional, neat, and courteous. There was a considerable amount of greenery that had crept onto the main roof. George and his crew removed and discarded all of it, prior to making the repairs. My house also has a small, secondary roof. Repairs included both areas. In addition to removing the ivy, here is a summary of the work performed: reheat and reattach loose seams; reseal all flashings around chimney, vents, and skylights; seal glass edges of skylights to prevent water intrusion; coat entire flat roof with premium grade asphalt aluminum roof coating. I received additional photos after all of the work was finished. The original fee was $3,100. George provided a 10% discount because I am an Angie's List member. I highly recommend G & G Home Improvements and would definitely hire this company again.

When I called G&G, George- the owner- answered right away and was able to come by the next day to assess my problem. He was punctual and professional, clearly explained the work he thought needed to be done (reflashing of skylight and chimney, and coating of entire roof), and provided a written quote shortly after leaving. He did not pressure me at all about hiring him. After I saw the quote, I had several questions about the proposed work, and George was always very responsive and reasonable in his responses. When I decided to hire him, he was able to schedule me within a week. After they completed the work, he sent me pictures of the repaired work and told me to call if there were any problems. I can't really tell if the problem is solved as we haven't had a big rain since, but I am confident that if there is a problem, George will come back to fix it. I also don't have a good gauge of what is fair pricing in this market (I only tried one other roofer, and they did not respond) so my rating is based on national averages. But I did appreciate the 10% discount for Angie's List customers. In terms of responsiveness and professionalism, G&G was excellent. This was a relief as the previous roofer who serviced our roof was a scam artist (no longer in business under the name Next Day Roofing).

Work was started and completed on time.

We couldn't be happier with the service we received from G&G. George was honest, direct, on-time, available to do the work immediately, and always available to answer questions. He identified the leaks on the roof responsible for the ceiling and wall damage and repaired them, inspected the rest of the roof for other points where water might be seeping in and repaird those, and resealed the entire roof. He also installed new flashing around our skylights, vent pipe and roof access hatch. We've had a few heavy rains since and no sign of water leaking.

I was completely pleased with the contractor's work. Believe it or not, he actually arrived a little bit early for the Monday appointment I had made the previous Thursday. His clothes and white van were impeccably clean (unusual I would assume for a roofer). Within minutes he had climbed a 30-foot ladder and was on the roof assessing possible sources of leaks. He concluded that the roof itself was sound but ivy growing into the side of the roof needed to be removed and an ancient chimney needed to be sealed by a handyman as the whole roof did not need to be replaced, which is his specialty. He took photos of the roof and explained clearly what needed to be done, using the pictures to point out possible trouble spots on the roof that a less-skilled repair person could take care of. His conclusion was reassuring and inspired confidence in his expertise. He didn't charge a penny for his work, which took close to an hour, including a fair amount of time time spent patiently answering all my questions. Had the roof needed to be replaced, I would not have hesitated to hire him to do the job.

Very well. George was professional, responsive, easy to get a hold of via text message or call, and extremely punctual (beat me back to my house twice, even, when I was running about 5-10 minutes late!). He was able to quickly identify the likely cause of the leak, which the previous roofer had come back four times without being able to successfully fix. The first meeting for him to check out the roof and give me an estimate was fast--I think we spent longer talking then it took for him to run a ladder up on the roof and look around (that part took at most 10 minutes). We were able to get the repair scheduled very quickly, and they were able to complete the work in less than a day, and I didn't have to be there. I just left the gate to the yard unlocked, and various instructions on how to secure and leave things, and all had been followed when I got home that night, so I found them very trustworthy.

The work crew arrived promptly, and the work was done efficiently and on time. G&G has responded immediately to other queries about different jobs we needed done in the future, and always came to assess our needs, even when the scope of work was outside of their specialty.

They are very good, and i am satisfied.

George was great! I called and left a message about a couple of loose shingles and he called me back within 20 minutes. He came out the next day to look at it and saw that there was some drooping in the middle of the roof (which I had just noticed as well). I was at work so he called to explain what he thought was going on and give me an estimate of how much he thought it would cost to fix it. He also said he could do the work that day. Once he got the shingles off the drooping part he noticed it was larger area that needed to be fixed than he originally thought so called me immediately to let me know that would actually be more than his estimate and sent me photos of what was going on and wanted my approval to proceed. I mean it sucks when you have problems that are actually bigger problems than you originally thought, but it was great that they were able to tackle it and get it done all in one day. They even cleaned our gutters for us while they were up there. They did all of this without us being home and therefore I couldn't pay them until later. George stopped by the next day to pick up a check and talked me through everything again, and also gave me some advice about our siding and chimney. Definitely a good guy, and I would use again but hope that's the end of our roof problems.

George the owner came out and gave me a thorough assessment of the work needed. Despite the fact that his workload was full and he could not take on the job, he gave me a better understanding of the scope and cost of the work needed. He also recommended 3 other contractors who might currently have the time for the job.

George, as well as his work team were on time, very friendly and did a thorough clean up upon completion.

He did an estimate. Came back the next day to do the repair. When it rained we called a small leak again. He came back right away and repaired at no charge.

George came by to assess the situation and provide an estimate. He discovered that there was some impacted dirt within the cutter. He cleared it out at no charge and suggested that we see if that takes care of the problem. I appreciated his responsiveness, honesty, and generosity.

It went very well. The men showed up on time and worked all day long.

I had a great experience with G&G Roofing. George was very responsive, answered all my questions, and he and his team did a great job. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a roofer.

George was very informative about the issues on our roof and was very diligent during the inspection process. He was able to do the job to correct the issues right away for a fair price.

Great--George said it wasn't leaking; just condensation from the a/c. He was very prompt and honest and didn't charge for coming out to take a look.
