Came out to give us an estimate was very reasonable we we're excited to get this done. We had a project set for Dec 4th so we had out door delivered the 3rd. My husband texted him to make sure everything was set and see what time he was coming only to find out that he cannot do our job until after January , if we would have known we would have waited on the door (now we have to store). I just wonder if he was going to tell us he wasn't coming if my husband hadn't texted him.

This company treats you like people, not merely customers. They have a real human touch. They tell you what they're going to do and they do it, promptly, explaining as they go. They consult with you about any changes and provide plenty of video (in this case, work on the roof) so you can see what they're doing, We couldn't be happier with their work or with their people.

The service at the estimate and office was excellent. George gave me a much needed education on slate roofs all of which I checked out. The fact he was so knowledgeable gave me comfort. When I hired them they scheduled the work and arrived and completed everything as scheduled. Not only did they repair the slate roof but they also replaced a flat roof over the porch. I was very happy. I would be remiss not mentioning Mary in the office. She maintained excellent communication throughout the entire process. Anytime I had a question she was able to contact George who called immediately. Everything on the business side went well.

Family Roofing did some work for us last year, and then just came back to deal with another issue. Service was prompt, professional and friendly. They are good at explaining the situation, the options, and they are very clear on costs, which seem reasonable.

Family Home Improvement did a superb job in repairing a portion of my flat metal roof that already had a bitumen layer on top of it. The problem was that water was dripping down the air intake of an installed roof a/c unit which damaged my top floor ceiling. Despite my attempts to coat the roof with aluminum paint and cover any other spots that could be areas of water intrusion, we still had dripping on hard rain days. David came out and talked to me and I shared my own ideas and he recommended a solution. He was straightforward with me and I appreciated that advice. We talked about replacing a gutter as well. The previous roofing estimate that I had received was from a person who immediately wanted to replace the roof. I had been up on the roof several times and knew that there was a less expensive route to attempt. I really appreciated David telling me what he thought was the root of the problem. He told me that it would be a couple of weeks before they would get to the work. I gave the customer service 4.5 out of 5 because I had to call to find out the date after waiting several days to be notified when they would come out to the property. Also, I had to email the day prior to ensure they were coming so that I would be home. Each communication was met with a prompt response. Even when I asked about a new issue that I discovered, it was responded to that day. The work was done well and the crew cleaned up very well. I went up onto the roof a day after the work was done. We had a hard rain a few days later and the result...no leaks! In addition, Family Roofing discovered another problem that I had with the flue for the gas furnace. This was another issue that I was aware of and I had them replace it on the spot. They did an excellent job. I highly recommend Family Home Improvement for roofing work. I would definitely choose them again!
