DC Handyman

The company was non responsive after giving 3 dates, I was never contacted. The company does not follow through.

They came on time and finished early. They did a good job.

I had an appointment scheduled for 05/17 at 5:00 pm, they never showed up or called. Very unprofessional

GREAT. I have DC Handyman (Jose) saved as a contact on my phone. The two-man teams that Jose sends out does really good work and don't waste any time getting through a to-do list. Also, each time we've called we needed the work completed in a timely manner and were able to get on the schedule within a few days. Very satisfied with the price and the quality of the work. I will continue to go to DC Handyman for our small house projects/repairs.

Arrived promptly, very courteous, two guys which I wasn't expecting but all the better. Assessed the overall situation and got to work. Worked efficiently and neatly on the projects. Hit a snafu with the sink upstairs. They broke the drain in the sink. They did the right thing and went to Home Depot, purchased another one, and installed it at no charge. However, they lose a couple points since it was a different color chrome (original was satin nickel) and it drains significantly slower than the old one. So slow that if I leave it running while brushing my teeth the basin will start to fill. (Probably shouldn't be wasting water like that anyway I guess?) Anywho, they ran out of time for one project (the drain took up a lot of time) which I was only okay with because two of them showed up instead of one which I wasn't expecting (coupon said 1) nor did I pay for.

They don't speak English well so its hard to communicate with them. My husband paid them more money. I didn't have a problem with their price. I would look elsewhere.

It was fine. It worked out fine. He did a great job, everything...highest marks. He did a variety of things. There was two of them. He did extra, at a reasonable additional cost. I was surely pleased with his work. I believe he came the next day. They did about an extra hour. He was going to do it for less than I thought was within the contract so I gave him a little extra. I really was thoroughly pleased and I would certainly use them again. I think I gave him $50. I think he said something like $20 or $30 but I was already going to give him a tip anyway. It was $165, I think I gave him $50 more for extra work because I was going to give it to him for a tip anyway. Plus, he made the effort to come from the city. He came out of DC out into the suburbs late in the day. It really was an excellent response. It was $165 for 4 hours.

This is the 2nd time that I purchased a Deal with DC handyman, and again I was not disappointed. Giovanni arrived when scheduled and immediately went to work. I had several projects, all of them small but still quite a few. I had grouped each project before he arrived, So I was able to point out each project and prioritize them. I felt that it all should be completed within the 3 hour time frame. But of course that depends on the handyman. Giovanni completed all the task with time to sweep up the area. GREAT JOB! This is a pretty solid team under Mr. Henriquez, Thanks Again DC handyman !

They did an excellent job. They were prompt and efficient. I would use them again without hesitation.

Overall, service met expectations. One of the plumbing repairs did not hold after a couple of days and I will need to hire a plumber to resolve the issue. This problem precludes me from providing a higher rating for this contractor.

Jose and Alex were amazing. Honestly, I've used four different handymen in the past few months, and I found this company to be the best with regard to quality, availability, work ethic and bang for buck. Upon arrival, they quickly realized what I was looking for and got straight to work. I'll be using them again without a doubt.

I feel sorry for this company. Punctuality-F Had to call the owner a few times on the scheduled day just for someone to show up Professionalism-F When the 2 guys showed up with the list I provided they said it was a lot of work. They did not bring the correct tools to cut the backsplash I told them I purchased. Everything from the hose faucet to the kitchen faucet replacement was "a lot of work" I accepted one of them offering to come on a Saturday for 6-7 hours and have the other take care of the other items on the list, just give me a price since I only paid for 6 hours. No price or time was given (which is really strange I wasn't trying to talk them down in price I just wanted a price) I offered to pay extra just give me a quote and apply the time already bought against it. They said it wasn't worth it. The items I wanted done was given a week in advance: glass backsplash installed, outside faucet replaced, kitchen faucets replaced, 2 shelves installed and 2 drywall patches. I asked if they will have time to complete the tasks, the owner never answered.

Jose was punctual, professional and methodical in his approach to work. He was forth coming with advice and suggestions. he came prepared with necessary tools and drop cloth and cleaned up all debris. I would definitely hire him again for additional work.

Very pleased with their service, quality, and professionalism. They went above and beyond - not just fulfilling the ordered task but ensuring no leak would ruin the fixed drywall.

I purchased a 6 hour handyman deal to repair the ceiling in our front bedroom (we had a leak and needed a small portion of popcorn ceiling smoothed out to match the rest of the ceiling) and paint the entire room. The two gentlemen that Jose sent out did a great job. They were running about 15 minutes behind, but Jose texted me to let me know about the delay in advance. I really appreciated the fact that I only had to supply the paint and no other materials. Will definitely use DC Handyman again for other odd jobs around the house.

Provider came at time agreed upon. Drywall was repaired and painted. Both workers were diligent and went over their work to make sure it was too my liking. I would definitely use this company again.

Purchased a big deal through Angie's list for $199 for 6hrs of work with 1 person or 3hrs of work with 2. Scheduling an appt was easy and two workers came out to tackle our to-do list. They were extremely skilled and quickly got through everything we needed. Very satisfied with the workmanship and cost.

Prompt and professional service. The ceiling drywall was patched quickly and they even changed a fluorescent lightbulb for me.

I cannot speak of his services because he never replied to my messages. I left him 2 voice messages. After that, his voicemail was full and could accept no more messages. I emailed him 3 times. Never got back to me.

It went really great. They even spotted areas I did not notice myself. No issues.

There was a "hiccup" DC Handyman's original appointment was for Tuesday, March 22nd... no one showed up and there was no call. I called in the early evening, left a message... and got a swift call back and an apology for the no show. It was sincere so I re-scheduled for the work to be done on Monday , March 28th. Jose Henriquez showed up this time. (with only a small delay because of traffic... we live in downtown DC so that often happens) Jose did a PERFECT JOB... He did have to correct the color type of the grout twice at my request... to be sure that it looked perfect. Jose did so without even the least objection. The job is excellent AND just as important Jose had the attitude that he would correct the job until I was pleased... AND HE DID! His workmanship was perfect! I am extremely please and I intend to use him for more work in the future.
