They did a perfect job on both watches and they were reasonably priced.

Compton's was easy to find and I was immediately greeted by two sales staff. The first staff member helped me size the ring and my finger and offered a number of ideas for sizing to suit my needs (for example, downsizing, plus shaping slightly oval so that the ring didn't spin as much). Another staff member wrote up the receipt for the work. I was especially appreciative of her attention to privacy/security (she wrote the order in a slightly coded way on the receipt, so that if I lost the receipt, someone else would not necessarily think to come pick up my ring). The work was done quickly and professionally. I learned that the staff they use for sizing has been with the shop for over 20 years.

They did a good job and charged roughly $8 per watch. Actually, they gave us a small discount for having brought in several watches. I will definitely use them next time.

I brought in five watches. One wind-up watch did not seem to be working. The jeweler called me the next business day to say that the watch was fine, but he could still open it and clean. He offered that he did not think it was worth doing at $110 for such an inexpensive watch. Another watch could not be revived with a new battery, and he also thought the watch was not worth fixing. The other watches got new batteries. I appreciated his honesty about the repairs and their quick service. By the way, they are only open until 5:00, not 6:00.

This is a very honest company. I wish I had gone there last year before wasting $200 to get my watch 'cleaned and repaired' at another jeweler.
